Like many have said, you guys are setting the standard for weapon lights and your customer service is second to none. I can’t wait to get my hands on this. It will definitely be my new duty light on my rifle.
Have the generation 1 REIN and the gen 2 answers all the minor problems I experienced with the gen1 especially working through small spaces and training with the VTAC barricades. The gen2 will then be the perfect option, hopefully some land in SA soon! I removed the scout for the gen 1 and will stay with Cloud Defensive due to the fact that you answer all the questions and listen to other shooters. Keep up the great work! Regards Heinke

Every part of Gen 1 and Gen 2 are backward compatible. I really like your idea of selling the parts separately. I also own 2 gen 1's and love them. I want the to hell and back reliability. But, I'm gonna go ahead and buy a gen 2.
Amazing product! I have a couple questions though: 1. Does the Rein Micro 2.0 have a strobe feature? 2. Will the Rein Micro 2.0 come in OD green? If so, roughly how long before release/restock? 3. Does the Rein Micro 2.0 come with a high candela light head? 4. Is there a way to get a lower temperature glass on the Rein Micro 2.0? I'm not sure exactly what your gen. 1 temperatures was (like 4000K?), but your gen. 1 lights were the only lights I could use in close quarters without my eyes hurting (I have sensitive eyes with a bad astigmatism). Hope you answer those and help me out a bit.

@@CloudDefensive 4000 To 4500 kelvin was my main reason to buy this. I am glad the Mk1 is still available but did you mention if the LED would be the same Kelvin? I see a constant lumen power phase for people who buy lights on forums. People see the higher lumen and sold...on paper. I know you have to cater to these people but please do not mess with the handful of good warm options we have. More is not better, not in fog, not in low viz....backscatter. Warmer LEDs not only work better in those conditions but have better colour rendition, some people's eyes/brain work better with colour than outline. To me higher lumen white light is just BS. The same LED in lower Kelvin might not be the COOL one but you know even cool white has its "too much" limit so why act like that few extra lumens is better? For everyone? You have to cater to practical people too. Have these lumen junkies never drove past a street sign with their LED bars on or driven in fog? There are plenty of cold white options out there but I repeat. I am not saying don't cater to them just don't mess with my preferred warm white option. Please
Sounds like you updated all the things that fit my tastes... I like my Gen1 REIN but would love the Gen2 updated version. Don't want to fork over all the $$ for another weapon light, yet. I’ve always been a surefire guy and I honestly still like their products. I got another X300U for duty carry here recently and was beyond disappointed with the beam. It’s nothing but lumens and has basically no effective throw. I hope to god you guys come out with a pistol light in the future.

This is exactly what I'm looking for on my new build and I'm on a waiting list on several websites but holy cow this is more than I spent on my LPVO (Strike Eagle Gen 2).

How much of a strength difference is there between the steel bezel ring vs the new 2.0, on a scale from 1-10 steel being 10, 2.0 is? Not looking at hammering nails lol but sometimes the peace of mind in toughness is nice. Hence still holding on to my OWL lol. However if I’m replacing a competitors light just curious where Rein 2.0 lands in toughness between 1.0’s bezel and the other bright competitor.
Just got my Gen 1 REIN Moonshine a few weeks ago and it’s already outdated. Feel like you can’t buy anything these days as it’ll be replaced within a year :(
Itll still be an amazing light for ya, I got the same moonshine light as well, Id say you don't always need the absolute latest and greatest products, use what you have until there's a good reason to upgrade to a newer setup
No sir they are not. Because they are very different electrical systems. It was not possible to make them play nice together if we wanted to keep the EPL package small....and we wanted to keep the EPL package small for obvious reasons.
@Cloud Defensive Can the Rein Micro effectively & safely use 3.7V ICR18350 900mAh lithium rechargeable batteries? The standard is 18350 1200mAh IMR 3.7v.
