    Nice test ride man!! I had the same misconception about the comfort when I went from a naked bike to a full sport bike.
    They are definitely more comfortable than people think. But no, you won't go for hours without wanting a break.
    The 650 class is a really good class. Lots of fun and not too scary for beginners!
    Real good video man!!

      Yea Kawasaki also has the Super sport line like the ZX6R … those are full lean … committed riding position.

    Bought my 2024 from this same dealership 3 days ago 😎shoutout WV!! Ridersville Cycle is a great dealer straight shooters in there and dont mess around with all the extra bs the other dealers try to pile into the sale. i'm head over heels in love....the ninja 650 is nothing short of perfect for me!

    Thanks for the perspective and comparison between the 650 and the 400,the 650 would also probably be more stable on the highway as well compared to it's little brother.

    • @IronBornRider

      Thanks Robert! Agreed, the 650 just felt like a more refine machine. I’m not a sportbike guy but the 650 is what I’d go with

    nobody needs a Litre bike on city roads... even the 650 goes over 200km/hr. I've never even had my car at that speed let alone a motorbike. Ride safe. 650 is plenty

    • @mcreact6626
      @mcreact6626 6 месяцев назад +1

      The litre bikes have other advantages than speed. Lower rpm at highway speed, less wind sensitive because of the weight.

    I'm going back today to finish the paperwork on the 2023 650R, which is definitely a change from my last bike (HD Roadglide). The bike felt great and so light.

      They’re very fun. The z900rs is my favorite one so far, but their sport bikes are super fun to throttle it out

    Great review man. I ride a HD street bob and looking into getting this as my second bike. I love my HD for cruising but when it comes to twisties I want something that is more lighter and easier to control and I feel that this 650 fits the bill

    • @IronBornRider
      @IronBornRider  Год назад +1

      I'd totally do it. I found it to be a really easy transition because of the more neutral ergonomics. It also has plenty of power and could be used for daily commuting as well. Solid choice I say

      I ride a Street Bob 114 and just purchased a Ninja 650 as a second bike for the exact same reasons you stated. I have yet to take delivery as I'm getting the bike lowered 2" (I'm 5' 4" on a good day). No problems with handling the Street Bob and love it for more non-twisty rides but want something smoother for rides in the mountains and commuting.

    I ride a Road King and love it but I find the Ninja 650 to be a fun, exciting and downright enjoyable bike to ride. Kawasaki hit this one out of the park.

    The discomfort misconception is from super sport bikes, much faster and better for cornering but clip ons are usually below the triple tree and foot controls up behind your butt. Gonna need a seat, rear sets, and risers where you may have clearance issues to make one comfortable. Some people feel the 650 twin is all you need for the street, as cozy as the ninja is for similar comfort I like the old cbrf4is and fz6 fazers for the 4cyl but new bikes I want to try the aprilla tuono 660, triumph tiger 660, and the new cbr650r. Wish kawi would drop the zx6r motor into something with the 650 riding position, better yet if Suzuki did it with the 750 full fairings or even an old style half fixed fairing

  • @0XZenerX0
    @0XZenerX0 Год назад +1

    Just to clarify, i love the ninja 650, it's my favourite bike and the bike that i have and will have in the future, but it's NOT a sports bike, it's a false R or sport tourer, looks sporty but it's comfortable and the riding position is nothing like an R

    • @garborubbish7034
      @garborubbish7034 Год назад

      It’s all you need on the street and better to ride longer, im only 23 in good shape and have no clue how these guys get on supersports and ride daily or for 1hr + without destroying their back within a summer, never mind people down south who ride year round. Wish kawi would drop the zx6r motor into a 650 riding position, might convince me to buy new

    My 2012 Ninja 650 rattles around 4.5 to 5k rpms then it stops so I just have to shift later in life. I do love my ninjas but neither of them are my dream bike. For sure a recommended to get.

      Straight off the line I feel like my low rider s has more jump, but considering that you can rev higher into the rpm I think the Ninja 650 ultimately has the advantage.

  • @KellerFkinRyan

    as others have mentioned, this bike is barely a sportbike. its more like a sport tourer. it may have fairings and whatnot but its a ptwin making like 60 hp

    • @redskies4530
      @redskies4530 Год назад

      That's 70 hp(unrestricted version) and it gets you up to legal speed almost as quickly as the ZX-6R.

    Due to research ninja is the only sport bike that is more upright.. yamaha R, suzuki GSXR, honda CBR not going to be that comfortable. The ninja even tho it's a sports bike is more upright. And the Kawasaki Z is just more upright
