Excellent work as always Dave! Thanks for allowing my music to be a part of your production!
Thanks for producing all your albums and graciously making them available for use in these videos. Your music really helps set the mood I’m looking for.
I'll check out your tunes mate!
Your locations are so full of atmosphere - an endless supply of photo captures. A while back I picked up a Sure Shot 150u at a thrift shop for (gasp) $3.00. It can be used as a simple point and shoot but also has a rich complement of advanced settings.
Sounds like a good find for $3.00
Just ordered one 2 nights ago as my first ever film camera. Your videos have been very helpful
Thanks Max - It’s a great film camera to start with.
I am bingeing videos of yours that I haven’t seen. So lovely and satisfying! Thank you!
Thanks Kary - I really appreciate it!
Mint little camera, amazing captures from the little beast! Now watch the prices of them sky-rocket:)
Another great video with mint captures. Love how you capture small town America.
Much admiration from Australia!
Thanks Pete - it is a fun little camera.
Right there with you on the viewfinder.
One of my favorite viewfinders!
I just found the one my mom used in the 90s for a lot of my childhood pictures and I’m excited to try it out. I normally use a canon f-1 (new) so I’m not expecting to get the best shots with it but I’ve always loved looking through old photo albums and I’m happy I get to recreate that for my kids.
Very cool that you found your Mom’s old camera - Have fun with it!
Still to date, I've sold more photos off flickr that were shot with the Owl than any other camera I own. Seriously, people like the prints.
Nice!
omg share the link!
Thats awesome!
Can we see?
@@goldenhourkodak Sure, nothing fancy, but that may be why they like them.
Enjoyed this Immensely. Great monochromes. Makes me get out and shoot.
Great to hear - Happy shooting!
The Owl is a great p+s! The viewfinder is pretty huge. Nice set of images. 🙂
Thanks Chris👍
I always enjoy your insight into these point-and-shoot cameras. The sign shot at 7:10 is my favorite.
I noticed you used Ilford film in Milford, 😅👍.
Nice music. So cool that you used Mike’s music. A supporter of film photography.
Thanks Jim - I didn’t think of the Ilford/Milford connection haha. Mike is very self deprecating, but he really is a great ambassador for the film photography community. My next video features his music as well.
One of my favourite cheap cameras! Great location and photos Dave! I also noted the Gutterman sound there :)
Thanks Matt - It is a fun little camera. I tapped Mike for more music for this week’s video too.
Fantastic viewfinder.
My favorite feature on this one!
Yeah same.
Love the images and location. I still shot with my beat up Eur. 3.50 Canon AF35M Autoboy which has such a great lens. Like the T-shirt btw!
Thanks Gavin - These cheap Canons sure are fun to shoot!
Nice!
Interesting camera too!
I was unfortunately unavailable so I missed the premiere.
Thanks Sina - Next premiere will be on Friday
Beautiful photos as always!
Thanks Andy!
Found one of these little guys for 3.99 at the thrift store yesterday, looks to be in great condition so I'm hoping it still has some life left in it. Your shots looked awesome!!
Thanks - Happy shooting!
Some great grungy buildings and signs in Milford Center but the Owl didn't quite do them justice. It's not a horrible camera, just not crisp enough for me. Maybe other versions or years are better.
Definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed haha. No one’s going to mistake it for a Yashica T4
It didn't look bad for a two dollar camera, what do they go for now? Point and shoots seem to be picking up in value on eBay over here too. It's got to the point where you can pick up a DSLR for less with some models.
I’ve seen them for about $30, but a lot of times that’s untested.
I have a Samsung Spetrum 20 with the same setup for flash control with the two buttons on the front. It's the only other camera I've seen like that. I ran a roll of Superia 400 through it with good results. My camera has a blue translucent front and you can see the circuit board. I believe you could also get them in green.
Nice! Translucent cameras are fun.
i literally just bought this camera and i feel like a loser asking this. when the film is done what do i do? i saw that there is a small button to rewind but, will the button on top out all the film back in place?
On the Owl, the film will automatically rewind after you take the last shot on the roll. You don’t actually have to push any buttons.
@@theoldcameraguy appreciate the speedy response 🤘🏼 my film is arriving tomorrow I’m excited! Your video was the only helpfully video I found. I appreciate you sir!
@@dandeliongum556 It’s a nice camera - Enjoy shooting it!
Hi! Would you recommend this model or the 2000 model? Thank you
I am only familiar with the 1994 model, but I really like that one.
You turn $3 cameras into diamonds. Is Milford a ghost town? :-)
Thanks - Milford Center is estimated to have about 900 residents and there are still some businesses open there.
Hey! when shooting with this camera im getting some pictures that are only focused in the center but the rest is blurry, might be because of the distance im from the phorographed object? help please :)
I haven’t seen that problem. Usually if the distance to the subject is off, the center will be blurry too.
Swaeeeeeeeet!!!
👍👍👍
I have one that is Marlboro I wonder what year it is
Interesting - don’t know what year those are from
how far does the date go?
2030
is it only Black and White? idk anything about cameras sorry
You can also use color film. It has to be 35mm format.
@@theoldcameraguy thanks for answering :) I never had any camera before and I am thinking of buying this one…
@@jumenezeshp It is a good camera to start with - It’s easy to use.
Hello👋 where did you, got that Canon Camera From?

@@theoldcameraguy Nice.
