40g oats 1 Tbs cocoa powder Pinch cinnamon Tad vanilla 1/2 banana 1/2 tsp baking powder Pinch salt 100ml almond milk (or any milk really) Blend Pour into baking tray (looks like a 20x30) Sprinkle with chocolate chips Bake for 180 in a fan forced oven for 30 mins (200 for conventional) Cover with foil if starting to burn
nice healthy dessert. mine took around 18 mins in a 180C preheated oven. if you wanted it to be very cakey it would take more, or you can add more oats. I also added a tbs maple syrup. update: - it would take only 10min in an air fryer. - if the banana was ripe enough it would make it sweeter so I dont add maple syrup - I sometimes add a tbs of peanut butter or a tsp of instant coffee to enhance the flavor
Hi! Just tried this recipe today, it’s actually so good! Im not a huge fan of oats but this is delicious. Sweet enough without any sugar added, but it actually took a longer time to bake - around 30 mins! Thank you for sharing this recipe❤
Looks bloody delicious! Just a quick question though - is it true that when you blend and break down oats because you’re processing and grinding them down further that it creates more of a resultant blood sugar spike? I had read this and I need to be mindful of my insulin sensitivity as I have an autoimmune disease so just wondered if you knew anything further about this point xx
I made this with steel cut oats and vanilla syrup bc I ran out of vanilla extract aaaaand it tasted like crap 😅 I made it in bulk so now I’m stuck with these salty and bland chocolate cupcakes that still has the graininess from the oats 🙄 Can someone give an honest review of how theirs turned out?
They look great like that, but my question is: Do they firm up when they cool down? I'd like to make a batch of them, cut them up and pack them in a lunch
Spoken by somebody who doesn't know caloric deficits are the way to lose weight. You don't lose weight in the gym. Weight loss is done in the kitchen and it's all about eating at a caloric deficit. The gym helps you build muscle not lose weight.
If you're worried about losing weight you do have to be careful with chocolate as it's also an appetite stimulant and you should only have small amounts if you're trying to lose weight
if you cant control yourself when your appetite kicks up when you are calorie counting for a deficit, you will be hopelessly stuck never losing that weight. if you feel a stomach rumble after eating some chocolate just have something to drink and chew on some no sugar gum, dont allow yourself to binge. you do NOT have to be careful around chocolate, all you're doing is restricting your palate instead of restricting your calories.
You should eat dark chocolate, preferably 80% and buy a good quality, then I guarantee you that you won't be able to eat much and it won't stimulate your appetite - au contraire. Good luck!
Looks delicious! ❤ just wanted to say that i don't rhink i recipe needs to start with a claim of weighloss, because everyone is on their own journey with themselves, some want lose gain or maintain, but most important is the mental and spiritual. Correction: it takes at least 25 mins to bake. Mine took 32
I agree..his looks unbaked. 😢
If you have an airfryer it takes less times and bakes better than in the oven
@@cumuluseremiel1209I will always prefer the oven
Quick oats are already cooked in the factory and there's no flour or eggs here so perfectly fine to eat undercooked
it‘s down to preference. there‘s nothing here that really needs to be cooked. i‘ve done something like this and i prefer it “undercooked”
next time you make it add a tsp of instant coffee too for enhancing the chocolatey flavour

This is good for weight loss, but it isn't very high in protein so you should add some yogurt or something like that to keep you full for longer

Looks good! Does the half a banana sweeten it sufficiently without any honey, etc. added to the batterr?
The vanilla should help sweeten as well.. don't think I would bother though tbh.
Do not add vanilla and similar liquid directly into oats. Few of them absorb most of the flavor. Instead mix it with liquid as milk.
U make me blusing 🥰
