Hi Pete and gang,
i have been a regular of every show and video of this channel for a long time. Have made music vor over 45 years.
I have been absent for a few weeks now...
I saw off my left thumb. It got a kind of reconstructed in a long operation but it will never have it's normal function again. Recovering will need a few more month.
So i will stay away from my regular guitar channels, because it hurts in a way not beeing able to play guitar again...i know, time will tell.

In the mid 90's I had two tons of frozen cartons on pallets land on my right hand. Meat in the hand was all squashed and the muscle that works the thumb burst out and was hanging in the breeze. They were going to amputate, but left it open wrapped in bandages like a giant boxing glove for a week -- after they scraped out the pulverized meat. That was to see if the nerves survived. They did, so I got to keep my hand after a second surgery on it. But none of the digits worked at all. It took several months of daily PT to get them working. Now my hand is about 90%. I can not finger pick so well now, but I can play with a pick and tap etc. Lucky. Stick with it, you might recover better than you expect.
Unfortunately PT has not been so effective for my next injury. Spinal injury from working at sea. I can only walk for a few minutes before my legs stop working, so I look like Hank from Breaking Bad and how he struggled. I have to keep the PT etc up though, or I will lose even that. Retired early for injury. Only 51. I never expected to become a land lubber. I still have my guitar at least, like Jimi said.

It’s the neural DSP dark glass plugin… bass straight in, then I added that on the channel in logic. Symphony plug-in after to fine-tune the tone
