Tanmay bhat's friend wrote this script 10 years back but no one was interested... So 5 years back tanmay asked to produce it and they completed the film 3 years back.. and was going to release in MAMI .. but then aib matter happened and it just stopped. So finally after 12 years this is going to release.
Actually it released last year with no trailer... And released on theatre for just 4 days. Fortunately I was able to see it and cried watching how sweet it was 😢. Watch it and cry your heart out. Such a sweet film. Please give it a try. ♥️♥️ You'll thank me later.

Thank you for reviewing our trailer! I enjoyed your insight. I did a lot of research for this role and got the production team to bring on a marine friend of mine who did multiple tours in the Middle East as an advisor on the film. Much more will make sense when you see the movie. But this trailer teases a lot of the film’s themes very well. The Singh brother did a phenomenal job writing and directing this wonderful movie. When it's dark humour, sometimes you're confused whether to laugh or feel bad.
@Niggolas Brown There's also literally 'dark' in dark humor if you didn't notice. Dark humor is most often a social commentary on the worst things around us. It could be death, disease, abuse, corruption, politics, war, etc.
So sometimes people aren't comfortable watching black humor, specially when they've dealt these things personally. Imagine war affected kids in war-torn countries. Most of them won't be laughing, it's just a PTSD for them.
There's a scene in Simpsons and Family Guy you know these raunchy/R rated popular animation shows in America where an animal is raping a human being and my brother finds it funny. I was like what the hell this is disgusting but he's like this is what the producers intended to do make us laugh through dark humor. I was like WTF WHO ARE YOU???
@@nikitamohan3390 Yes I can imagine. I'm not sure of the context, but sometimes this kind of humour is meant to provoke us on certain issues. US, UK & few western countries are away ahead of us on this.
Simpsons, family guy, south park, they have all been very controversial. Most of us Indians would find it disgusting.

I watched the movie and I really enjoyed all the acting. I liked the part where you did not take offence over a kid calling u the N word especially because your character understood the point of innocence from where that word came about and rather corrected him to come up with a better name. I loved that a lot because as kids, we emulate adults (we all did growing up) without understanding the meaning of words but its also important to teach kids what is a good word and what is not. I like how your character's experience has given your character insight into civilian life and I love how your character used that experience as the voice of reason several times in the movie. Congratulations and hope more good things come your way! I am a new fan!

The family accent was a bhojpuri, the dialect of Hindi which is spoken in Bihar and utter Pradesh . I am a bhojpuri person and they really nailed in the trailer. The dialogues and humor is really authentic.
Bhojpuri is a separate language brother. It is not a dialect.
I thought it's Maithili..Ok...Good to know.

Hi jaby. I'm not so much technical into details. But practically I've been to the war torn places even internationally as being a soldier... And what you've explained...I've experienced the same to myself. Women and even children in those areas are so normally respond to the gun shots and explosions that surprised me at the beginning.

I fortunately didn't grow up in a war torn environment but I never celebrated my birthday with gifts or a party or a lot of wishes even because of our weak financial background and me being a "freak" in school.
That feeling as a kid when you can't celebrate your birthday is the worst thing ever because you see other people being treated the best on that special day.
I've now grown up to despise and hate that date on the other hand.
So, this was really emotional and close to heart for me.
One day an year should belong to you at least, especially if you're a kid.

This movie Shook me to the core. It's just unimaginable. I think this is the first time I hated US soldiers. We never really know and we cannot know or even feel how it feels to be in that mess. So, many just so many families became a part of this turmoil. So, mang things in this movie were relatable that grips you.
