The Disney animators always said that it didn’t matter how attractive they made the prince at the end, the audience would still prefer the Beast over him because they had grown to know and love him as the Beast.
I like the prince better😅
Also, we should have learned by the end of the movie that looks don’t matter 🙂
@@ulricaandrae4381 As the old saying goes: “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”
And because his beast form just looks better imo
im flabbergasted at how so many ppl say they were disappointed at his human form, am i the only one who likes the human form better😅
The moment you get to meet the beast and get along with him, you realize he's just a big, overfurried man with a little anger issue that CAN be dealt with
What is getting overlooked in this movie these days is that Beast had to earn Belle's company, care and trust before there was love. And one of the best showcases of the balance in this movie is the porridge-scene. Belle visibly negatively reacts to Beast's animalistic table manners, Beast attempts to adjust, Belle notices Beast's effort and provides a compromise for them both by eating without utensils.
@@sugartoothYTone of the best character developments in Disney if not movie history
y’all say this but he literally held her captive and almost killed her dad….. lol
@@notamberplol how quickly we forget
@@notamberp yeah you be transfigured into the body of an animal for 10 years and isolated from most of society except for servants who just indulge all of your bad habits and choices and see how well adjusted you are.
The moment he meets someone who can actually push back against all the bad traits he’s built up over the years he starts to change
if you think about it, part of the reason the Beast was so depressed and didn't fight back when the villagers came was he probably thought that Belle sent them. Like, no one knew he was there, he frees Belle and shortly after a mob from her village comes? My man thought she hated him so much that she sent people to kill him 😞
That and also just the fact that he felt he didn't have anything to live for so he just gave up. The one person who changed his life and could've changed it further left and so he thought that was it and it's why he only fought Gaston back when he saw Belle, he realised he DID have something to live and fight for 😭
"LeFou, I'm afraid I've been thinking..."
"A dangerous pastime-"
"I KNOW..."
It's so funny that you said Beast's transformation is like Shrek when Shrek literally references Beauty and the Beast in that scene
I love this movie because the real villain is simply ignorance.
I'd say Gaston has a shot at it.
Gaston: am i a joke to u
i mean that gaston is the personification of ignorance lol@@whenraindropsfall
@@rekdreams247 ignorance is the wrong word. I think you mean superficiality lol
@@whenraindropsfall no i think ignorance is the best word for my point. Ignorance and superficiality do come hand in hand a lot
I love that you were so impressed with Beast's transformation. Us ladies (generally speaking) were massively underwhelmed 😂😂😂😂
Bro could have at least kept the beard, facial hair underrated for animated Disney men fr 🙏🙏
am i the only girl who likes his human form better
@@babymelon4if you have to keep asking then yeah probably
The Shrek films reference a lot of pop culture and they do references the scene of the beast rising and changing back to a human, just with Princess Fiona instead.
I mean, that was the whole point of it, at least for the first since all the people that made it were essentially fired animators from Disney…
Shrek was their way of saying “F you” to Disney, and they triumphed greatly💪🏾😂
This movie is one of the best Disney has ever made 💛
so true it defenitly is my nr 1
Also the most terrifying from my childhood 😂
Wasn't it the first animated movie to be nominated for best picture of something like that?

@AkinReacts originally Gaston's death 💀 was supposed to have been him falling to the ground getting crippled and then the same wolves 🐺 that beast fought off showed up and tore him apart and eaten him alive 😨 an the irony of it was that Gaston been "such a great hunter " becoming prey himself.
But the studio thought that would have been to violent of a death, a man getting ripped apart by wolves so they changed it to him just falling to his death. However the idea of a villain getting ripped apart and eaten alive would get to happen in another Disney movie ( The lion king ) a year later.
To be more precise, Beast was cursed 10 years ago from when we see him ABOUT to have his 21st birthday so he had 11yo when the witch cursed him. That also explains the behavior as he, then, never got forward to any communication or social experience with other normal people and was left excluded from everything and everyone which would've left him at the mental stage of a kid/adolescent that doesn't know how to behave nor how to act with neither person nor a woman 😉
And about shrek, princesses belong to Disney but shrek is a DreamWorks creation and got out waaaay after Disney's princesses. And DreamWorks made it so that Shrek had every single reference to every movie (including Disney's)
And despite all that the enchantress expected them to love a lady like an adult 😂 hard core challenges back then
Love the appreciation for the pretty prince :D
41:20 his real name is prince Adam.
@@nathancruz9172 Yeah, but the guys loved him cus he was pretty, not cus he was Adam xD
My childhood movie! It came out the year I was born, so my parents made my room all Beauty and the Beast themed, and my dad would dance me around to the Be Our Guest song when I was a baby. So happy to see you guys watch it 😊
31:56 At an artist convention I got to see some frames of this scene and omg they were so clean! And there was an interview with James Baxter, the man who did this shot. There weren't really cameras in animation at the time, so this scene is one the hardest of his career. That and Spirit, because drawing horses is hard af.
I've never felt closer to ya'll then when you said, "what a waste of food" LOL its a massive cultural thing in my country- no playing with food, no wasting food, and no sitting and standing on tables!
!!! i always forget how "not normal" this is when i watch american movies and tiktoks- food fights, dancing on tables, sitting BABIES on kitchen benches!! āue!
great reaction as always:) Will you react to a movie from my country Aotearoa (new zealand) Heavenly Creatures, The frighteners, Whale Rider, BOY, or Hunt for the Wilderpeople are all excellent and reckon you'd appreciate them!
I hate that it was Belle’s dad’s idea to go down that scary path then tries to blame the horse talkin bout “where did you take us?!” You the one that told him to go this way! He didn’t even want to go!😭 and she was dumb for going to the west wing when beast told her not to go then getting all upset when he got angry
no fr both father and daughter had L moments lmao
I agree 100%! She made me so angry! The first thing she does is she goes to the one place he tells her not to! It's like come on, he literally told you not to go there, and that's the first thing you do, and then you try to touch the rose! I would have been angry, too. I probably would have ripped her arms off! Lol 😁 and the dad blaming the horse for taking him the wrong way you're in control of the horse, sir!
Well the dad is characterized as a bit cooky so the Philippe thing isn’t surprising
Also human curiosity is a powerful thing, so many ppl get mad at her but they’ve let their curiosity get the best of them in the past too, it’s human
@tree6787 You're overreacting sir lol. And if the Beast doesn't want Belle to go to the West Wing, why did he bring her over to it when she said that she wanted to see her father again?
@@CharlotteMacrickens You *do* know he did that after she had already been there and he calmed down right? He told her not to go there because he didn't want her messing up the flower and accidentally doing something that would screw them over.
This was the first animated movie nominated for best picture (Oscars) and won the Golden Globe for best picture that year, like this made history for real.
Yalls reaction to the curtain scene was perfect 😂😂
This revived Disney with a Bang! 🔥
I really enjoyed your guys' reaction. I'm officially binge-watching the rest of your stuff. You guys got a new some. ❤
Beauty and the beast is my all-time favorite Disney movie in the HISTORY OF WALT DISNEY!!!!
31:11 Bro when a man taking a woman on a date we all need backup bros like these 3 🤣👏
23:00 canonically he was TEN when he was cursed.
11 actually. The rose doesn't start wilting until the day he turns 21 ("which would bloom until his 21st year.) He has been cursed for ten years (stated verbatim in the movie). And the rose had already started wilting before Belle showed up according to Lumiere. Ergo, 21-10=11. But yes, he was a child, and his punishment was ridiculously excessive. Must have caught the enchantress on a bad day or something because that was crazy.
You guys face at 20:38 had me weak 😭😭
and the side eye and disappointed head shake at 24:59 was perfect cause what do you mean??
32:29 😭😭😭
also now that I’m watching it over it’s insane that belle fell in love with a beast not knowing he was a human like Disney what in the beastiality is this…..😅
She had some idea that he was human even if she didn’t know it outright, she fell in love with him after she finds the paintings of him as a human with the same eyes as he does as a beast
I just realized this movie is THIRTY TWO YEARS OLD 😭 bro!
This is my absolute favorite movie! Belle is amazing!
Love how they all turned into wingmen for the Beast at 31:10
Fun fact: Many people are confused about how much time passes in the story of Beauty and the Beast. It seems like at least three (definitely two) full seasons pass over the course of Belle's stay with the Beast. Autumn, Winter, and Spring. I'd say it's around 6 months. Many people assume only a few days or weeks pass, but that's not true.
Also, the man who voices Gaston is an amazing opera singer and has played the role of Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera. He has a powerful voice.
In the play version after he transforms he sings this to belle.
Belle look into my eyes belle don’t you recognize the beast within the man who’s here before you 😭
Old Disney classics are so good
i love this movie! the artstyle is so comforting. i watch it every couple of days lol
"I've been burnt by you before!"
31:12 you guys are cracking me up!
If you guys haven't seen it yet, highly recommend the movie 'Who framed Roger Rabbit'. That movie was lightning in a bottle and one of the best live-action-animated hybrid films to date. If you thought the MCU was the biggest crossover, then you haven't seen Roger Rabbit.
So the question this film always raises for me is would you rather be a beast or a piece of furniture?
“A KNIFE??” 🤣
Y’all reactions are always the best! I seriously love this channel! If you guys haven’t watched scissor seven I would highly recommend this show!
yess we love kings with a sponsorship! here's to many more to come
Y'all gotta do the lion king after this 🙏
yus
I just found your guys channel and y'all are just hilarious
Thanks with the comment about Adam. Though the audience came to get used to the Beast, Prince Adam is one beautiful man. He shouldn't get the hate he does.
bruh i would LOVE to see them watch Anastasia (princess movie)
My favourite Disney film after Lion King. Also this film came out years before Shrek. Shrek took the idea for Fiona’s (non) transformation from the Beast.
I see comments and reactors saying that he shouldn't have yelled at her for coming into The West Wing but she did something she wasn't supposed to to satisfy her curiosity when she could have actually accidentally taken pedals off of that Rose if she handled it too roughly and screwed them all over so he was angry and panicked and immediately felt bad afterwards.
Wasnt expecting this one but i was so excited to see your reaction I'm glad you enjoyed it. I would really love for you to see Sleeping Beauty (mostly for Maleficent, the villain she's dope!) Also, some good movies you should check out are: Anastasia, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Brother Bear, Tarzan.
EVEN MORE INCREDIBLE THAN THE FIRST! - Incredibles 2 (2018) Reaction
40:46 haha they don’t know Shrek was Dreamworks making fun of Disney. Both films started with a story book except Shrek laughs and rips it up. Instead of Beast turning into a beauty Dreamworks said what if it was the opposite. Pinocchio is no longer an innocent boy, etc
Vote for The Lion King?
(The original not the live action remake)
My favorite reactors❤️
Excelente filme!
I’m so late, but should you have the opportunity, definitely see this on stage.
No. 1 Favorite Disney film all the way!👹🥀

I also though the beast looked better then the prince on that suit 😭
AkinReacts please Do The Bad Guys Next Please🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Please please PLEASE say you're going to also do a reaction to the live action Beauty and the Beast with Emma Watson. It gets a lot of hate, but it's equally a beautiful movie.
Much love ❤
It is the 2nd best Disney live action Cinderella takes first place for me still
@@Aqua1515nah I disagree, Aladdin is def the second best live action especially in terms of music, I'd say that Beauty and the Beast was the third best Disney live action (I didn't like Emma Watson's singing all that much). Also yeah Cinderella reigns at the top as the best live action ❤
@@nadyasilva_ I respect it. I see ur points
11:29 😂
I actually liked more the beast, than his human face as Adam, i never to this day like his design. I prefer the furry, mad, angry beast.
Movie recommendations, the dollars trilogy (Clint Eastwood good the bad the ugly). Also watch the lion king it’s right up your guys alley
What a classic Disney film so great but still my favourite Disney film will always be (lilo and stitch 1 and 2) I hope you guys can try it some time such a awesome Disney film

Girls like the idea of changing a guy, but in real life, if he does change, she leaves him. It's all a big test.
Then again if he doesn't change. She gets upset too.
It's like bill burr says "You know what makes women happy? Nothing. Nothing makes them happy."
For this, it wasn’t Belle who changed him. He changed himself. He saw she did not approve, so he made efforts to change himself. She saw that he was actively trying and was willing to meet him in the middle in some of it (like the porridge scene where she offered the compromise) but others, it was up to him to keep growing, and some she could help gently encourage by teaching while seeing he sincerely wants to learn.
Booty another word for treasure
