Hello Everyone, hope you are all doing good. Stick around until the end to find out how to get your photos featured on my channel. Any questions or if you have any suggestions, it would be great to hear from you. Drop me a comment below. 😃👍
Hi Ian, thanks, for me I can say I'm all good ;), hope you too. Thank you for your tutorial, for me as a beginner I'm very happy when I can learn something to improve. I must admit all my pictures on my Insta are taken with my phone. But every time when I get the chance to spend a bit more time in the wilderness I love to use my camera of course too. I still have a lot to learn though, to know what I'm actually doing ;).
Hey Tanja, Glad you are doing good. We never stop learning in this game, that's the beauty of it. Don't forget to hashtag your photos with #ianworth it would be great to take a look at your shots. 👍
Hey Ian, thank you. Yeah, that's the good thing about it, otherwise it would be pretty boring to already know everything ;). I did hashtag 3 of my photos with #ianworth and I would be really happy if you would take a look at my shots ;). But as I told you they're all taken with my phone
Didn't know this was a new feature mate. Thanks for showing. Just did a 6 x 3 HDR Panorama two weeks ago, it actually worked better than I feared :)
Awesome!! Cheers Oddbjorn. Can't beat a nice pano 👍
Thanks for that Ian - I didn't even know that was in the latest update! I don't really do much pano work, but will have to give this a try!
Thanks, Jamie, Yeah they keep sliding these little things in, and sometimes they can go unnoticed. I don't do that much pano stuff either but I'm sure it will come in handy again at some point. Cheers buddy 👍
Great tutorial Ian. That looks to be a great ne feature.
Thanks, Mark, Yes it does and I'm sure it will come in handy again in the future. Thanks for watching mate. 👍
Slightly related - I had ordered a Kirk L-bracket for my X-T3 a while ago, Kirk just started shipping this week and I received it last night. Seems to the job quite well - more testing this weekend.
Nice one Alan. Hope it works out for you. I haven't got an l bracket for the xt3 yet. Just for the xt2. Have fun shooting. 👍
Good intro to this new feature - thanks for sharing your skill.
Another good tip for panoramas (to help w/ leveling) is to use a base leveler of some sort - for my purposes I use an Acratech Leveling Base (between my tripod and my ballhead). That way I only have to the tripod "close to level" and then can make small adjustments more easily w/ the leveling base. [I often found it a bugger to get the legs set up perfectly.] I keep it on all the time - it's not too large/heavy, and for all my shots I get things level and then as I adjust the composition (left/right) I know the camera is always level.
I might have missed it whilst you were doing it - could you explain how you got the white background in PS? Thanks again!
Thanks, Alan, Yeah I've seen those levellers but have never tried one. might be worth a go for a future episode. If you right click on the grey area of the background in photoshop it will bring up the options for changing the clour. Thanks for watching and commenting mate 👍😃
@They Caged Non No, but will certainly check it out! Thanks!
Nice tutorial Ian. Fab vista of the Mawddach. I can't get the new update as I still use windows 7, think it's only available with W10 and above. Ditched my IG months ago.
actually, just checked again and it is available for W7.. happy days :)
Ah glad you have got it to work with w7. Yes, it's a lovely viewpoint and easy to shoot from the road too. I think during the winter months the light may be better though as most of the landscape was in the shade during sunset. maybe one to reshoot at another time. Thanks for watching mate 😃👍
Could you please tell me the exact location this panorama was taken from?
No problem John, It is in southern snowdonia, near the town of Barmouth. There's a layby on the road just before the town so access is really easy. All the best 😃👍👍
Thanks.
