Bro, this video made my day! 😄 That dog was hilarious, and the wheel falling off had me dying 😂 I'm getting back into RC drifting after almost 20 years - started with the 4WD PVC drifting TT-01s and left just as counter steering started (pre-gyro era). Life got busy, but I always kept an eye on the scene while focusing on adulting >.< Now I'm juggling fatherhood and bills, but needing a hobby to escape the daily grind. I was planning to drop $2.5k AUD on a 1:10 yokomo or mst, but then discovered these 1:18 MX5s/ on ali express for so cheap so I grabbed one on impulse and wow! - It drifts amazingly right out of the box! 🔥 So stoked to find your channel and see all the cool mods! Ave aready picked up 2 more ldrs (nsx & metal skyline ) and im hoping to stick to these LDR kits before diving into the serious 1:10 stuff . I hope its enough to scartch the itch because if i go 1:10 scale , Id love to go active suspension, fancy rusty drift pig style body kits with the magnetic bumpers. & more fancy individual head light controls etc etc anywho - Thanks for the awesome content & inspiration - Its helping me get my mind off life's BS! 🙏
I also got out of the rc drift before it became 2wd. Glad I picked it back up. Definitely fills my need to tinker and modify cars. So many drift car chassis styles out now for sure. Great time to be in the hobby!

is the part where u adjust the gaim replaceable or would i have to buy a whole new gyro? i messed it up a bit with my screwdriver when trying to adjust it. its still adjustable but i dont know for how long. i wish they made it metal instead of plastic.
if your talented enough to solder a new gain swith and if you can find one you definitely can attempt it. The gyro is affordable enough to just replace it. might not be cost effective to fix.
@@RunThatRC yea i ended up buying a flysky controller instead which was about 20 dollars more than the gyro but its probably much nicer than the factory controller and i can adjust the gyro on the fly since it has a third channel. i think itll be worth it hopefully
also i believe it will give it more range. ill try and keep u updated. from what i heard its one of the best controller upgrades you can do for this car.
You have a link for the grey fast and furious skyline? How come yours looks more like a regular blue vs the light blue I see in other videos ? I’m looking to buy the regular blue like yours
unfortunately the seller I purchased from is no longer available. I would search LDRC on aliexpress and look for the best deal on them. I purchased 2 blue ones and they all are the same color. Probably just looks different on other peoples videos because of camera and lighting. The blue looks really nice in person.
the gyro is great. I can definitely recommend the DasMikro V5 gyro. I got it on aliexpress but the seller is sold out. Just search for it on there and you should find some listings.

i was looking for some replacements as well. They do break really easy if your actually drifting. I don't run mirrors on any of my ldrc except the Rx7 because the mirrors are strong. The miata hit a wall and mirror is broken.

Please tell me what to do if, after charging the battery and putting it back in the car, the headlights and the red indicator on the board blink when the car is turned on, and the control panel does not interact with the car in any way... I read that the problem is most often a bad battery, right?

Do you know if you can switch between nsx and gtr with same remote like how you did with 2 gtr's?

They are fun little cars that drift pretty well. unfortunately the new controller doesn't bind with the older esc receiver.
Is this LDRC 1899 equivalent to a Seiko SKX007/009 in wrist watch terms?
I don't know if I can compare these to a sweet watch like that. They are really fun for the price and it can get you into drifting.

ifnit isnt a bad battery then it could be a bad controller or esc.
