I actually postponed this project for quite a long time because I wasn't confident working with small RCs. However, after trying it, I found it’s not that hard; you just need to be patient.
It’s good if you’re running it without the body, the steering link as you can see 5:21 it pushes out further than the wheel. when body is placed,it will hit the fenders
I cut the ball head screw so it sits lower (see the short update video in the description). I can still use the stock body just fine, as you can see in my other videos. For example, in this video: ruclips.net/video/ZnSnHN3VKT0/видео.html

I have made the modification and the car is uncontrollable, having only rear wheel drive it does not turn well and the front wheels do not respond well to turning if I am going fast, it only works well if I am going very slow. Any advice to fix it?
You need to install a gyro. It's almost impossible to drive an RWD RC drift car without one. I already made a video on how to install a gyro (the link is in the description).
Really great video, but if this is intended for people who is new to rc, like me, I think you are talking and moving through the steps a little to fast. You should also mention that the tiny screws in the ball joints is REALY easy to strip the Phillips head. I did that and almost f’ed up. I also had a brain fart and pre drilled a hole for the shock joint screw and the drill bit was to big so I had to glue it in place. My advice is use the entire screw to make a hole then cut it to length.
For stripped screws, I’ve never experienced that; maybe you need to find a "better-fitting" screwdriver. Usually, before applying force to turn a screw, if the screwdriver feels loose or doesn’t grip properly, I switch to a different screwdriver tip. For everything else, thank you for the tips 👍
I install some cheap gyro (RBR/C gyro that usually for WPL D12) and it can drift, but not that good. I'm pretty sure if I install better gyro (Dasmikro Gyro V5), it will perform better. But I need servo connector converter first since my 28431 electronic using 1.25mm JST plug will Gyro V5 use JST 1.5mm ZH plug.
You need to make sure the servo horn is at center when you install it. Remove the servo horn, make sure the dumbo RC steering trim is at center then install the servo horn again.
Make sure the steering link rod is in the correct position. The front and back of the steering link are not the same; they are different. You might have accidentally flipped the front and back. Or maybe you need to tighten the servo horn onto the servo. Fyi, if you use bigger servo, you can easily adjust the servo position as in this video: ruclips.net/video/X8ltmc2TKEE/видео.html
I hate this chassis because of the gearbox comes clogged and tight, I really wanted it to work, but the differentials comes very tight inside of the gearbox, it’s just a nightmare, I bought three of them, is it just me or it’s a common problem?
Yes, it's a common problem. I already mentioned it in my review video. My simple solution is just to use it, and after a while, it will get better. However, we can also do a few things to 'loosen' it faster. You can search Beaver's Hobby channel on RUclips for tips fixing this issue and many other tips on WL Toys 1/28.

It depends on your wheels offset. The wheels might be scrubbing against something; for example, they could be touching the suspension notch on the lower arm. You may need to trim it or make it even. The point is to pay attention to whether the wheels are touching anything.

Tip for future, Thread lock is for Metal to metal surfaces and pending the plastic can actually damage/soften the plastic.

Only use threadlock for metal to metal contact :) Threadlock can damage plastic!

We don't need to buy more ball heads because we convert it to monoshock.
