I love vintage looks, so here is a time-lapse video through the last 100 years. I don´t say that the looks are 100% authentic ...But I made a lot of research from authentic photos, movies and drawings, i hope you like it :)

@@ivonat6999 I guess because of the big cultural shifts happening at the time. This was essentially the first time youth a counter culture became prominent in society (at least western society, I'm from an ex-communist country, where things were obviously a bit different, although the sixties marked a change as well), the hippies choosing a completely different way of life than their parents, kids listening to rock bands with controversial lifestyles....so I guess the makeup really reflects those big lifestyle changes as well. The 60's big bold eyes and super light lips are almost a complete opposite of the "proper and elegant" 50's look. I didn't live through that era though, so I'm no expert but I think that's what it comes down to :)

MASSIVE CHANGE! Complete revolution of human rights, civil rights, women's rights, LGBTQ+ rights, higher education, mass media shifts, truly a time that brought us leaps and bounds ahead. Same thing is happening now. We are still fighting!

To be fair, makeup and red lipsticks were mainly used for actors, models, and prostitutes.usually intense makeup was actually frown upon by everyday, middle and lower class people.

No big 80's hair. No one wore their hair like that. We loved our big hair in the 80's.
There's quite a few. The 20's, 70's, 80's, and 00's ones were all packed with inaccuracies. And nearly all of these were very stereotypical.
The 50s hair was really poor I dunno how that went so wrong, but the 2000s gave some nasty flashbacks. That was bang on apart from missing the sperm eyebrows and orange foundation people insisted on wearing in 2000. Also all of these were more modern takes on vintage glamour if you're going for authenticity use the techniques and materials they had - the 20s even in Hollywood didn't look that sleek and polished. It's a good video tho. She's done a good job of getting the idea of each era across

I loved this and I appreciate how she changed eyebrows for the earlier decades. Most of the MUA don't do that. This was so much fun!

And you can make your lips look full with the power of makeup. I however have small eyes and have to focus all of my makeup on my eyes and I hate it. Can't change that with eye fillers and I'll forever be ugly

Beautiful! I can't explain why I find the evolution of beauty trends so enchanting. It makes me think about how vintage we're going to look to people fifty years from now. You're so talented and meticulous with detail. You also just have a great face for makeup, very expressive with lovely bone structure.

I actually thought some of them were very inaccurate but then I realised they were probably pretty accurate she just looks too pretty for it to look like an average girl from the ear

Who is Karolina Zebrowska?
Loved all the looks. One thing, not harping, but the look you did for the 1920's was Hollywood glam and the lipstick wasn't that dark till closer to the 30's. Every day women still kept their makeup very subtle. Very little eye makeup (for the evening they may have smudged a small amount of eyeliner on, but it was a color that matched their eye color), small amount of blush, and a red/orange lipstick. I dress like the 20's daily and I have years of research under my belt. The look you did was a pretty accurate depiction of a Hollywood silent film starlet. They wore their makeup like that for the lighting and because film was black and white.
That 2000 make up was so on point 😂 that was exact the way I used makeup 😂

Lolita Subliminals agreed. Instagram thick brows are one of the ugliest trends ever. Unless you have them naturally like that of course. Thin soft or bold brows are so beautiful. If u choose to make them natural looking they soften your face and if you decide to make them bold they can make you look so sexy. It’s just not for everyone. But thinner brows are honestly still more beautiful looking IMO.

The transitioning from traditional fashion of 1900-10's to so modern 20's is really astonishing and radical.
All of these looked amazing. I'd probably wear my makeup like half of these decades now. This must have taken ages to film; well done 😊

Amazing! The 90s one is exactly my clubbing 90s look but I had a red lip and blacker eyes, and put glitter in my hair. I was so impressed that you blotted and put powder through the tissue- we did that! There was a big push for matte in the mid 90s, then it suddenly went illuminated. Still my fave look of all time 🙂 still mourning the best foundation of all time- Estee lauder enlighten 😭

They did have makeup, you just can't cover it all one video! Ancent egypt for example existet für more than 5 millenia. During these centuries and centuries fashin and beauty standards changed as much as they do now!

I have no idea who fellon carrington is, but I was hoping she would do the Avril Lavigne look that was so big in the early 2000s. Remember those tank tops with a men's tie incorporated into them? ;) We also used to wear our hair in two braids a lot. It was a very pop-punk era.
I don't recall jean jackets every making much of a comeback at all in the 2000s, which is what she is sporting in this video - jean jackets are very *1980s!* My favorite jean jacket I had in the 80s was this fucking awesome looking one made by Guess jeans - it was a strong deep turquoise color (I'm female, so don't picture a guy wearing that color lol). My older brother used to wear the popular kind that was lined inside with a visible white curly wool-like fabric.

What colour us that stunning red lip and liner?! We really went south with makeup styles after 1960.
In 50s something got wrong with hairstyle. As I managed to observe in that time curls were more precisely brushed but still it's a great work what you've done. Comparing to other 100 years of beauty clips this is deffinitely the best and the most accurate :) especially 20s, 30s, 60s, 70s and 80s are absolutely amazing. All the best!
