This map is just slightly larger than The Crew Motorfest, but it's immensely more dense, more to explore, a whole lot more roads to drive on, actual places to visit, little controllable car functions... This os what TDU is all about

True-Talk! I enjoyed driving around so much during the demo, I ended up covering 35% of the map available. Might be me, but I can swear the avatar and the vehicle handling Improved with each level. ✌️
Thats why I want this game, for that in a realistic map, I dont like how FH map roads are designed

I actually managed to spend a couple of hours cruising with a stranger in the mountains and discovering every hidden path there !! it was an awesome experience it felt like a proper road trip :) I'm just glad the TDU experience was nicely portrayed in this game

They need alot of more traffic Or atleast on the interstates have more traffic for no hesi. I know it’s demo, just hoping at release the traffic will be more dense . Cruising /swimming with your friends through cars will be so enjoyable

it's in the vehicle feature wheel, just hold B or circle or back to turn it off and on!

This is absolutely amazing. I remember playing TDU on PS3. I literally bought a steering wheel kit just to enjoy the game more by literally cruising with as many cars I could. I’d play for hours just driving gently and adding a little be of pace when I felt the need to. I have never had such an amazing experience in any game like TDU.
Saw your livestream yesterday: You writing a list of everything that needed improving and features wanted in the game was so nice. I like many others couldnt hold myself. Apart from performance issues, so much " TDU- DNA" can be coded into this game to make it feel really set apart from the competition and make this game focused on experiencing car life in all its big and small forms and vibes :)
Online only needs to go, it causes to many problems. And the first game they gonna kill with this is ironically the demo on Jun 17.....

@@adeyinkafagbayi People talking bad about the game clearly don't understand what TDU is, and especially don't understand that this game was made while actively listening to the community feedback, and mostly don't even realize that the company making it is not a large company at all, just a small company with very dedicated developers and directors who are trying their best to give us something no one would.

Hey Alex, It all looks really good, the only issue I have is the cotpit steering wheel angle and animation. Do you think theyll fix the animation and increase the angle of steering by launch? Cheers 👍🏻

You know I do wish they made Test Drives longer (and that the roads you drive on become discovered during a test drive). I also wish they had V-Rent like in TDU1.
What's your wheel rotation or settings that you changed? I see that many people were turning too much for simple wide turns at high speed, but you didn't seem tl have that problem
23:20 put offroad tyres on your street car (when you level up) and you'll reduce the 'grip up' issue
I've just had a brilliant idea they should add an option to hire / lease the cars in the dealer showrooms for the day.
Then you could test drive and lease it until you get the funds to buy 👍🏻

The GTR GODDDD
There are so many little thing that can be coded into this game, for example newer cars having lights that automatically come on when it gets dark while old cars require manual operation. Same thing with automatic wipers in cars, if you forget to turn them on in old cars the "raindrop-effect" on the screen gets way more heavy.
Stock cars should never visibly backfire only with certain exhaust mods done.
It needs way more " Drive-In-Out" cutscenes like TDU1 did at dealers, shops, gas stations and other facilities.
Clothes shops and clinics should be standalone locations, not just located next to each other in the hotel lobby.
Dealers, garages, workshops and the hotel look way too futuristic and have not alot of detail. Real car dealers look so different. The starter home should be just an apartment with two garage spaces in one of these big concrete parking garages.
Cars should have dedicated tachometers/ gauges on the UI and display the navigation in their infotaiment screen just like TDU1/2.
Thos blue holograms " Parking Lane" need to go.
The maps looks good and is fairly detailed, however it needs pedestrians and more HR- realistic traffic to live things up. Game needs offline mod to even be able to do that without having to sync that. Also PC mods will not happen if the game is always online.

Hey I like those holograms looks cool 😂 but everything else you said I don’t know very subjective. Too many cut scenes becomes annoying mainly because technology has come so far where games don’t even need cutscenes. The only reason you see cutscenes in this old demo now is because the community asked for them the fake was originally supposed to be seamless. I seen the game without any cutscenes just seamless transitions.
The only reason cutscenes were created is because of old tech it was for the wait time for the world to load up on the next level of a game. Now modern has no wait time you literally don’t need cutscenes they’re only there just to be there because people never seen games with out cutscenes don’t need them anymore. Now as for the clothing shop and clinics I agree they do need stand alone locations all around the map. The dealership look is subjective too bro you can’t just rearrange the entire game’s aesthetic for your own or a older game.
Then would we be playing a new game or just the same old games but with modern tech let this game have its own look and identity while tastefully bringing small details from the older games. Futuristic also fits Hong Kong don’t forget that it’s not 2005 in Hawaii it’s 2024 in Hong Kong their technology and architecture is insane so are their dealerships very high end futuristic do your research on Hong Kong look at Ferrari and Lamborghini dealerships TDUSC are accurate.
For the starter home already exists it’s your hotel room that’s why we already told the Devs we need more than just a hotel high rise condo. Now for the Ui and having dedicated gauges I did like it back in the old games but those games also weren’t completely online and stop being updated they would have to do that for every single new car they add to the game I said they should just give us custom gauges and I would be fine. The infotainment point I do agree it should at least show the gps. It’s literally on the minimap just put it on the infotainment screen I would like that if you want to turn off the HUD. The more I play this demo I’m starting to see pedestrians appear around the map. I know people were wondering if pedestrians were going to be in the game I’ve seen them appear now so it’s confirmed of course they wouldn’t load them in full blown on this demo but I’ve seen them now when I played last night.
@@redhunnid5142 Valid points of course. The game can have its own art direction and should have the " TDU- identity" with including many little details that celebrate cars. We see what KT Racing/ Nacon do with all the feedback the demo fires ack at them :)
EDIT: You are right I spotted some static pedestrians now, do they patch this demo? because they definately where not there before...
It's high time we get a Test Drive movie.
I hope they really iron out the small details about the actual cars in the game.
Also, major opportunity with this Mustang. It’s an A10 but they have it as a M6. A great feature for the appropriate cars would be to have the auto and manual versions, but only for cars that have both options in the same exact model n trim.
Ex:
- 10 speed 5.0 and 6 speed
- 10 speed Camaro and 6 speed
- 8 speed Hellcat Challenger and 6 speed

We need to talk about whether there are some cars seen in the old games that use old models. That GT-R, the S197 GT500... it's not good.
This is random but I find it a little odd that they didn't pick the GT performance pack trim rather than just the premium pack. It would have been really cool if they got a Mustang to scan with the performance pack and the Recaro seats. Also, like why is it still the old GTR and 370Z. It would have been nice to see more recent versions of those cars. Especially since the GTR has released some very cool colors in the last 3 or 4 years.
The newer GTR would be nicer to be honest that is true (nismo version tbh), I’m not bothered about the 370z tho but as for the Mustang that’s an interesting topic 🤔
@@TheAlexVII yeah I'd like to see the nismo versions of both cars maybe as an addition. I was also really hoping for the R34 😭
But yeah, I mean the Mustang has so many options packages in real life it's insane. It really is one of the most "optionable" cars on the market, which I think is awesome. I hope they do another conversion option like TDU1. Imagine if we could turn the Mustang into a Shelby GT500.
Where are the cutscenes for driving into the dealerships? 😭 Its a staple of TDU games and i didnt see it here, hopefully that will come in the full game. Everything else is looking good so far

it's the EU version of the Mustang so it doesn't have the dynamic indicators haha

18 years later, and still nothing beats TDU 1 in Hardcore mode with the Platinum.
The amount of people still playing it is amazing.
The traffic density alone puts this thing to shame.
Weaving through traffic in a Miura is so intoxicating, even to this day.

Do you use the xbox or Playstation version of the g923? I have the Playstation version and it shows up as unknown. My friend has the xbox version and it's recognized as the g923.
Neither, i am using the GPRO wheel, but I think (and hope) those types of bugs will be ironed out by launch.

I've had a ton of fun exploring this map already. It's a shame about this demo being in a pretty buggy state, and that some of the features from the older games are missing but honestly I already find what's available on this map tons better than most of the horizon game's (especially FH5) where it's just random road networks that don't feel like they have a realistic purpose to them

Wheels aren’t the best atm as you can’t adjust your settings but I’m hoping PC users can get one more rest before the game launches just to show they’ve made some impressive improvements all around. I’m not sure how fanatec settings are but regardless I don’t doubt at launch it’ll feel better and work for you
I don't understand why traffic cars have Solar Crown plates, maybe they were planted there by the Solar Crown curators themselves to make it seem like they are extras in a movie or something.

I have the GPRO Logitech wheel, which is on the expensive side to be honest hahaha, but if it’s you’re first wheel you can’t really go wrong with the G923 or G920, your other option is thrustmaster but of course I’m partnered with Logitech and I have a discount code lol, so it’s truly up to you. I’ve only ever had Logitech wheels and though I’ve tested others, I’ve been more fond of Logitech tbh, warranty and pricing helps with that.

Happy to see that you bring some positive content about Test Drive Solar Crown. A lot of RUclipsrs don't seem to understand what it's about and that the game is made by a smaller team and not some tripple A studio 😬 .
And some don't understand you don't get a full game in a demo 🙈 .

Hitting walls in fh5 is not for me, I'm more of a stable driving and moving around guy and I believe this game will improve even more.
I hope they improve foliage. That bushes instantly go "poof" if you only brush the slightly is not good. I would rather have them not do anything and just clip into the car than have them scatter physically incorrect if you only look at them funny. That is a cheap way of doing it. Many new games have amazing foliage that reacts to wind and can bend even. I hope this is all just "early stage" and not the final look. Also street poles and traffic lights breaking into 3-4 pieces because you hit them also is a very arcadey old-school kinda way of doing physic objects. I dont expect BeamNG, but come on.. we have seen this nonsense since the very first NFS and GTAs. It is 2024. Have them behave like actual poles and have people crash into them. You shouldn't be plowing through objects like that. I am glad to see pedestrians and hope they make the city feel more alive with animated billboards and such. It all is very sterile and empty still. Thanks for reporting .. i know i sound like a hater, but i just want this to be good and when i see they do old tech in a new game it just grinds my gears. Love they content and TDU. peace!

You can get out at specific locations your HQ, high rise condo and the car dealership. I would want them to add more locations like the parking decks they should let us get out at parking decks.

You can use quick chat or voice chat when you invite but there needs to be text chat as what you are asking is what TDU1 and TDU2 had

I think it's LB on a controller and then some preset text, but it was only the demo, so might improve in the actual finished game. I communicated with at least one online player using this system. ✌️
Am I the only that’s bothered by the mustangs taillights? They’re supposed to be sequential turn signals
This Mustang is the EU spec you can tell the difference with the clear taillights, and in EU the rule is your brake lights can’t also serve as your indicators, so EU doesn’t have dynamic taillights, but NA does.
The Complete lack of Console Gameplay has me Worried about the The Console Release
They have the august betas for console users, not sure if there’ll be anything beforehand though but it’ll be there before launch

Defo giving the feedback on that bro cus I agree. Not a fan of the 4 groups or the region lock. I thought of an alternative method that they can work on if the former isn’t able to be reworked. Make us a freeroam only mode where we can invite up to 12 or whatever many players the maximum is and let us freeroam together regardless of the region lock. That way there is a way we can all stay together. The reason for regional lock for competitiveness makes sense for ranked imo, but for freeroam and other races I’m not too sure. I’ll let them know though for sure!
@@TheAlexVIIYes please let them know your rank shouldn’t effect who you cruise around with in a open lobby they need to separate that entirely it a be crazy if we could get up to 25-30 players in a open lobby just cruising let them know that it’s only currently one game on console that allows for 25 plus players to drive around a lobby cruising and it’s a game from PS3 which is GTA 5 if they get that many players it would be a huge plus so many players will want to play this game just from that aspect alone the player count it would separate them even more from the competition
@@TheAlexVII agree, i dislike this region lock so much, it doesnt make sense for a social game like tdu to restrict people like that. we should be able to play with friends from any region at least in free roam and normal races, i get if its restricted for ranked for competitiveness though.
@TheAlexVII One of my BEST friends is from England. I race with him on everything. I have friends in New Zealand, the UAE, the UK, Germany, Canada, and here in the US.
A matter of fact, I introduced my friend from Washington State to my friend in New Zealand on TDU2 back in 2012, and he up and moved to New Zealand and they're together and married to this day. We all used to club race, cruise, do liveries, and hang together on TDU2 and have a 13+ year friendship stemming off of that game. Limiting us to inly being able to hang in groups of 4 will kill the game for us. Car culture, car meets, social gatherings, clubs & club racing are always better with more players. Limiting socialization and networking is killing modern racing games.
How to bypass login error?
Check discord server for updates but no idea about how to ‘bypass’
map really looking great, doesnt even feel small. dense and interesting city, tight turns and large turns/highways, big vegetation in the mountains/offroad, beautiful sunrises/sunsets. drifting roads.. and all this with 40% of the map locked out from the demo
