Jako majitel tohoto krasavce, cítím povinnost v první řadě poděkovat svým přátelům Milanu Baďurovi, Karlu Chmelířovi a Marku Suchánkovi za profesionální práci a podporu při stavbě kola. Díly jsem dával do kupy cca 3 roky. Až na dvě drobnosti, jsou to všechno NOS ( nové, nikdy nepoužité komponenty ). Tohle je třetí bike, který jsme takto stavěli, a musím říct, že sehnat český komponenty v takovýhle kondici, bylo zdaleka nejtěžší. Byla to ale velká výzva, a přesně takhle to mám rád! Vám přeju hodně trpělivosti při skládání Vašich krasavců, k čemuž jsem snad dodal trochu inspirace. Ještě jednou díky, a všem pěknou neděli! Zdraví Vás Karel Říha. P.S. Beautiful! I have an identical F1 frame and fork from 1971 that I want to restore, but I don't know the original color, is the gold color from the factory? The best part of the frame is the wrap over seatstays that are different from any other vintage frame I've ever seen. I have most of the original components but they need some care but still in good working condition. Were your new components like the Centric brakes already polished from the factory or did you polish them before installation? Greetings from California, thank you for the beautiful video!
Hello from the Czech Republic! The gold color is an imitation of the original coating with modern car paints. No Favorit parts were polished like this, polishing is the job of the bike owner, he wanted the most beautiful thing. Thanks for the great support!

I'm also restoring an orange (before blue) Favorit 1985, It's a well build machine, with a great frame and charasteristics, I've been restoring the bicycle for a year. Therefore i cannot ride it unltill i will end up with the perfection I've imagined! :) Absolutely Great video!. Montage, audio and light are superb, and work of course! I have a few questions: Does a screw on a bicycle handlebar have necessarily to be screwed on with a rather wide spacer beneath? Otherwise, without a spacer should not cause a problem to the fork or a handlebar? With all honesty, I am also really qurious for how much this beautifull machine went on sale... Do you have the original documents on the bicycle? How difficult was to restore them? Thank you for a great content!
The washer under the screw is there so that the 6-point screw does not grind into the aluminum of the stem. I was assembling the bike for a friend who was looking for it part by part for a lot of money... thank you for your support and nice comment.
