Earl found his father, Earl Sr., mom Elizabeth, both 60, and brother Gary, 35, inside.
They were all dead.
The Teets family had been murdered. All gunned down in quick succession with six bullets.
Mom’s beloved German Shepherd was slain, too. She held him in her arms where they both died.

It's pretty amazing how quickly nature reclaims the land once people are gone. You should invest in a machete before your next venture into the forest, not only to clear a path but for added protection as well! Such a spooky place.. You're braver than me to go there at night!

The first thing that struck me was the daughter-in-law going over by herself for dinner when her husband Earl, Jr. was at home. I thought maybe he was out of town. But, apparently not if she called him and he came right over, so I think it’s strange she was going over there to eat without him. I also put myself in Earl, Jr’s place, going over to his parents’ house where obviously something was very, very wrong. There were no cellphones in 1979, so he would’ve had to have driven to a phone. There’s also no telling how long it took for the police to respond to such a rural area. And he just waited around? Nope. I’d be going in even in this day and time with cell service and a decent police response time. I smells a rat. Of the “junior” variety.

Very sad story. Ron, you said you had a very eerie feeling while being there in that place. I’m a firm believer that when something violent takes place in a location that spirit energy is left behind. Even if not considered to be technically “haunted”, you can still feel that something isn’t quite right about the place.
i thought about the 1946 Alcatraz riot when you said that. and the Culprits got shot in that room. When people have gone in there they say they cant stand it. Really intense violent stuff. i believe it too. the energy is so heavy it cant seem to move on

@rpskaza…I have read that when paranormal investigation teams go in to investigate Alcatraz, there area areas in that place where they can’t stand to stay for any length of time. There IS something there that doesn’t like others invading its space. That makes sense because they housed the worst of the worst there. The kind of evil that many of those prisoners were capable of is bound to leave its own unique mark. Residual, intelligent, possibly a combination of both. Different investigators say the air feels “thick” and while you may be the only person visible in a room, those spirits left behind make it seem and feel like you’re in a room crowded with people.
I've experienced a similar feeling being at the gravesite of murder victims vs someone who died of more natural causes. It's like an overwhelming sense of sadness that goes beyond your own emotions. I don't know how else to describe it.
I'd have to totally agree!! Maybe not "Technically" haunted.... But "Definitely" haunted enough to keep me & mine out of there!! 🤔🤔🙄👻😱 Like I said before, I ain't lost nothin in there!!

I'm glad you mentioned that we would know you got out of there safely by being able to see this video, because it was so dark, so tangled with vegetation that I almost messaged you to give me a call when you got home....just like my mom would do, lol.
You have no idea how many times I kept saying, “I hope you’re packing,” over and over until you finally said that you were. Then it was, “oh my goodness don’t fall in a hole.” Way to keep us on our toes. Good story Ron.

It’s a strange country America that you have to fear walking around your country side and have to be ‘packing’ as you call it. I’m female and in my country, I played as a child in woods like this until dusk and had no fears. I’d still walk in places like this today alone and I’m in my 50’s now. I never feel the need to carry a weapon of any kind. It’s sad the US public feel so fearsome, it can’t be good for you. Are ye so scared cause everyone could be packing? Or is cause there’s so much murder? But its no more than other countries if you go per head of population.

@@thebee8415 we have a game called dooking for apples .Stand over a large container of water full of apples .Hold a fork in your mouth and drop it in and try and get it into the apple .My Grandchildren usually finish up putting their faces in the water and catching the apple in their teeth 🤣its quicker they say .

@@lindabrown7603 We do a game like that but never heard of using a fork I’ll try it. We dive for draft pieces you can exchange for money. We tie an apple with string to a beam and hands tied you have to bite. My fav, make a pyramid of flower put a grape on top then kids take turns to cut away not to topple the grape if you do you have to dive in to retrieve the grape. Do ye have the cake the barn brack, with the rag, stick, bean and ring inside? Then hide in the dark with flashlights. I’m sure our traditions are quite similar.

I looked up some more information about this crime on the internet and found out that two days later the victims of John Gacey were unearthed and attention of the police was shifted to that.

That was great, Ron! Very spooky! It was amazing to see your flight from a bustling city to a creepy little lane in less than a minute! Great flyover! I will miss you in November, even though you've got the videos to cover your absence. What will you do, I wonder, to keep from going crazy? I think it's a shame they didn't arrest anyone in this case. I bet the surviving son wasn't very happy with that. I think that sheet metal and "rod" sticking out of the ground were the remnants of a vehicle of some sort. Anyway, thank you for another great video! Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Ron. Really interesting storyline to that gruesome crime commited. When you were walking through all of that brush and woods it reminded me of when i'd walk through the woods in the morning to get me to one of my spots for archery deer hunting. Love doing that. It has always amazed me through the years that how many people thought i was crazy for walking through the woods in the pitch dark like that. Grown men telling me they were petrified of going out there in the dark like i did. My kids, including my daughter, never had an issue doing it. Oh well. Again, great one ss usual Ron. Spooky walk. It makes you wonder why they didn't release the supposed killer and what was so secretive about the goings on in the family business. Why didn't Earl jr. Give more information or maybe he did. Who knows . Too many holes in the story.

Hi Ron, This has the same finger prints to the story in West Virginia park where those couples were murdered in the late '70's. Many people suspected a cop did it and was covered up.

I hope someone working cold cases can solve this someday- My instincts tell me something is fishy with the older sons wife going to dinner without the him, and usually the first place to look is the people closest to the family. IMO- someone wasn’t looked at close enough or maybe wasn’t enough evidence back then, maybe NOW with advanced DNA technology and newer ways to get evidence, maybe it can help solve this one.. I hope so. So sad that they never got justice! thanks for sharing this story !

I can tell your from Chicago, I can here the accent. I was born in Lake Forrest in 1981, and grew up in Wheaton. moved out to Phoenix Arizona four years ago, winters out here are much more bearable the summers are brutally hot though, I do not miss the midwest winters.

Sounds like the family was up to no good--maybe mob related. My guess is it was Earl Jr, who didn't seem to be a favored son, given they didn't give him a key.
The dogs would have had to have known whoever it was, or all three dogs would have attacked and been shot.
Earl Jr knew that if he left the cash it would legally go to him anyway...so leave it and make it seem like he found it intact. Earl Jr maybe having affair with sister in law...who also couldn't get into the house?!

My grandparents lived on a farm when I was growing up and they would put there money in coffee cans and bury it 🐎🤠 so horrible 🙏 one day whoever did this will pay 😓
My family new the Teets family , My grandma had a dairy farm in the area.. Earl use to butcher the deer my father and brother use to shoot during hunting season.
I do remember my father telling me Earl use to keep lots of cash in the house and his dogs were not to be messed with. Earl use to keep a book, it was like his bible, he kept every thing in that book .form people who owed him money to who came to the property... he was a very OSD person.....after the killings my father told the police about that book but they never found it. That was the only thing missing from the house. They were a very nice family their son Gary use to let me play in the barns and chase the cattle around. My father use to tell me who he thought killed them but it seemed to crazy so I wont say.. my father still goes the the grave every now and then.. sad story
