In the first video of the BYD Seal U DM-I, we promised you that we would also try out the all-electric range for you, as well as the hybrid range.
In today's video we start with the purely electric range, i.e. we show you how far the BYD Seal U DM-I can go on a full battery charge and when it switches on the combustion engine, which will be very surprising, I can spoil that much.
In a few days there will be another video where we want to test the hybrid range of the BYD Seal U DM-I, i.e. from a full battery charge plus a full tank of gasoline - BYD predicts 1,080 km here - we'll check that for you ;-)

PHEVs have been around and usually are horrible. Once the battery is finished they suffer from high fuel consumption. This is the first PHEV that doesn't suffer from that. You can charge this daily at home and use the battery to commute. And when you do your long trips you still have a decent fuel consumption and a more than decent range.
Bravo BYD bravo.
DMi tech should win engine of the year because this is a game changer.

This is a great video showing the real world electric only capability of the Seal U dm-i. I'm looking forward to your hybrid driving range video as that's how I would most likely use it. I'm booking a test drive of the design trim.
