I can't get minecraft to recognize my custom files and they just play the normal minecraft songs. I saw the comments about it and followed your instructions but haven't had any luck getting it to work. Any ideas on why it might not work?
If Minecraft is still playing the original song then it could be one of three things. First the pack didn't load. Second the new pack wasn't activated. Third Minecraft isn't seeing the new song file, this could be from a spelling error somewhere, check the file and folder names.

I know you make a new tutorial for the every update, so it would be really helpful in the future if you made sure to showcase all the file names and where there are in the Txt because of how inconsistent they are.

I don't do Realms, so not sure for certain but I believe there is an admin setting that automatically downloads new packs onto users computers. The pack also needs to be installed on the Realm as a server pack instead of a user pack like I show in this video.

You have to make the sounds folder and all folders inside the sounds folder just like I show in the video. The music folder is not included in the vanilla resource pack. Make sure that you save the pack as .zip and not .rar. Also make sure you don't use any capital letters anywhere and that the new sound files are saved to the .ogg file format and not just renamed .ogg. If you do it exactly like I do in the video it will work.

I will probably stay with blocks since it works, but I may tinker a bit more. No, you can't add additional discs with a resource pack. It can be done by getting into programming and creating a mod. I will be starting a new series of videos soon on how to program Minecraft. Download my music disk list from my website to see the playtimes for all the discs.
Make sure you follow the video exactly. Double check your resource pack for spelling errors. Make sure that you didn't use any capital letters in any file or folder name. And make sure you saved it as .zip and not .rar.

You can't add more songs then are already in Minecraft, but you can change more than just one song. Just put everything in the same resource pack.

No, you can put everything in the same resource pack. Use the same lang file, and for everything else just put those files into the same folders.
Did you ever get the fix so that the disc couldbe as long as we want and not cut off at the length of the original disc?
You can get around that by programming a mod. That is one of the reasons I will be starting a new series soon on programming Minecraft.

I followed the tutorial but when I clicked to export it into minecraft it said the export failed?
