I could not stop laughing watching Kamp rolling in the snow like he was doing his best to become one with the snow ( 14:07 ). So entertaining! 😂
I love the view of Camp snug in his chair by the stove. As an old man, I can relate. Thanks for sharing.
Running water, yay!!! That view from the bedroom window is just gorgeous!
i was just thinkin how beautiful the view is too
Your first big snow and you are in your new home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME!
Those his and hers green recliners are killer! Still remember when y'all got the woodstove...it's a treasure! May joy and contentment fill your home and your hearts.🌎🌬🔥💦
Gotta tell you the mossy green recliners are so awesome
We are SO in love!
The view from the bedroom, breathtaking! Laughing at Kamp digging the new podcast chair!
Kamp’s green chair is nice.
Enjoying dinner with my hubby and watching Elsa and Barron enjoying their home this winter 🩵
Yay another Elsa and Barron video. Can we talk about that coat?!? Amazingly beautiful and you look gorgeous in it!
~Elsa Rhae, watching you make coffee for yourself and ~Baron reminds me of days spent in the Scamp. Blessings you two and the fur babies for a marvelous first Christmas in your new home.🎄🎁🎁🎁🎁
Laughed pretty hard at Kamp rolling around in the snow. Love your beautiful home and views.
Love to watch your dreams morph and change but one thing remains, you all are living your dream. Beautiful to see. Cheers!
this will be great memories in 10 years
Having a running water in your OWN home after many years will be incredible :) But damn, those holes, I wonder what chewed them up. Also, Pilot is so sweet! And seeing Camp in the snow made my day haha

18:43 That fart though! 😂
Congratulations on your running water 💦 You can do all kinds of meals in a Dutch Oven. Everything is really coming together so beautifully. I hope you enjoy your first Christmas in the new house. 🎄🕊🌿🥰
So glad to see Barron knows how to make S'mores! My hubs and son used to take yearly "male bonding" trips to the Oregon wilderness areas (usually during 100 degree summers) with my husband's dad (WELL into his 80s) in a little canned ham travel trailer that makes your Scamp look like luxury digs. I was tasked with going to Grocery Outlet with $100 from DAd to buy exotic, unusual provisions (Lithuanian jam, instant grits in a pkg, "Champ," the potted meat product for people who aren't fancy enough to buy name-brand Spam --- you get the idea) ... anyway, growing up as a Campfire Girl VERY familiar with S'mores, I was excited to buy the ingredients and instruct them to make the treat at one of their primitive campsites (even the actual campsites in eastern Oregon with Dad's "geezer pass" were usually only $5 a night and usually had pit toilets and MAYBE a water source). When they returned I asked, "so,,,, how were the S'mores?"
My husband, a college graduate (with honors!) said, "they were ok, but I think I burned the graham crackers."
LOL
It's really coming along. Can we just say how Stunning Pilot is!! What a sweet girl!!!
Merry Christmas. I'm very happy for you guys.. let me help out with the Dutch oven. Ps the view from the bedroom window amazing.
Yay water!!! My grandmother always used cast iron fry pans for corn bread and she baked anything at all in her cast Dutch oven. She had one with a fry pan lid. At holidays when the oven was packed with a big bird or ham, she used the stove top for everything from peach cobbler to cakes, pies in that Dutch oven. It always came out good. Thanks for the memory prod. I’m so excited for you in your new home. 🎉❤
Make a hole down the side of the pot to fit a pvc pipe (or 2) into. Place pipe and backfill. Water into pipe to allow roots to drink from below. Love you guys BTW.
That's awesome you have water at the house. Your home has some beautiful views. Merry Christmas
Camp “being Camp” in the snow!!!
Merry Christmas ah you got snow. No snow in Iowa this year. Love your house!
So happy for you 2, from living in the tiny scamp to great home. Congratulation
Elsa; you are beaming! Like , the possibilities are endless with what you are capable of in this home and I am here for it!
Wishing you both a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year ❤
KAMP’s INTERPRETIVE SNOW DANCE….😂❤
18:42 That was cheeky! So funny!
Love the green recliners! Classic👍🏻
Congrats on the water!
I absolutely love your new home!
It must seem like a mansion compared to the scamp! All your hard work and dedication has paid off! Merry Christmas to you and your family ❤
Anyone who has ever owned dogs, and/or cats, knows that each one is so individual in their personalities and preferences. When you posted that pic of Pilot on your bed sans Kamp, it never even crossed my mind that you were phasing out Kamp. We recently (6 months ago) lost a cat that loved to be picked up and cuddled. Our hearts were still grieving when we decided to adopt an almost year old cat to try and mend and have an outlet for our love. New cat hates being picked up and loved on, but he is so smart and funny and makes us laugh every day. And he does eventually curl up with us when HE is ready. We love him even though is he the complete opposite of our boi we lost 6 months ago.
Norfolk pines come from Norfolk Island which is in the Pacific near Australia/New Zealand. The island was a British prison camp for many years way back when and they used the pine trees for the ship masts back in the day because the trees grow so straight and tall. They are very pretty when they get big but also are a great house plant as well when young and small.
I would highly suggest you use a pitless adapter below your frost depth on your well. This would allow you to bury the water supply and have access to water from the well year round. Also make sure to use good quality Poly pipe thats stronger. Great video! ✌
You guys 🎉 great job with cistern under house that will stay warm & cool appropriately.
Pretty fancy yellow fur collar coat, never saw that one before!
I thrifted it from a friend recently!! I have a closet now! Hehe
I am 71, about to sell off home in Maine because it is to complicated and run down for my son to live should I go to happy hunting grounds. Hopefully not for many years to come. My Nephew lives in and teaches snowboarding Aspen, and we will be going through Colorado on our way to Montana and eventually Oregon visiting what is left of second generation family and looking for a new home.
I had to laugh when you added water to your French press and threw old grounds out the door and the dog ran after them. I do the same thing, only I have a cat and she doesn't chase them. I do walk in woods and gift them to mother tree. A 200 year old maybe older bull pine that I frequently hug, talk and cry with. I see munching on her dead limbs so I gift the coffee grounds inside the holes to deter any more munching. I also give my coffee grounds to my plants summer and winter. It gives me a boost I figure can't hurt them.
I have several almost a forest if avocado trees I probably will try to bring with me. If I come through your town by invitation or accident, I bet they would love living with all that sunlight and almost desert heat in summers. If anyone could make them bloom it would be you two.
I just purchased a Crua Tri winter tent. Probably a mistake. Because it weighs so darned much.
Listen to o old lady ramble here. My daughter makes silver jewelry. Not as good as you do Elsa. But she has made some beautiful pieces.
If I land someplace I probably will be painting mureals of my lighthouse, and the beach I will be leaving. Maybe mountain folks would like a lighthouse to look at. Lol
Weird how at 71, I am just getting a the courage to spread my wings and explore.
I sooooo admire that beautiful view from your window. And I hope God blesses you soon, now you are ready.
I took cook a lot in cast iron, outside on wood fires, and I obtain deer meat from local road kills. It does tire me to gut, skin and butcher a whole deer now days. I should put my name back on police road kill list. They always call at 12, 3 am. In the bitterest of cold. I need a electric wench to pull one from the road up on the truck which I bought cheap and it is waaaaay to high to lift a dead carcus on.
One can't just gut skin and hack off choice pieces on side of the road. It has to come home. Maine coast is a strange place to live. People here are not always user friendly. Been here all my life and it has changed a LOT and not for the better. There is no more small NE towns.
Only in Norman Rockwell paintings I'm afraid.
You live on a piece of paradise, I remember when you first parked the tiny egg camper and began to live there. You have earned every bit of Joy you have. I wish you Merry Christmas, a very happy New Year, and I will as always be watching you share your wonderful lives.
Be fun to see you do either more leather making or more jewelry making also. That was fun to watch. God bless you both. 😊
Gosh… the views from your windows are incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love your new home it's very pretty and I love the recliners green is my favorite color❤ have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year❤ great video see yall in the next one❤❤❤
That view from your bedroom....Blissful. Your home is incredible, am thrilled watching your channel. Just as mesmerising as when u were in the Scamp. Much love from England UK xxx
Congratulations on spending your first Christmas in your new home. My parents moved into their new home my father built during Christmas 1958 when I was 14 months old. I’m living in the house today having moved back in at age 52 after my parents passed. Hopefully one day your house will be passed down to your children.
Beautiful views! You guys have worked so hard and sacrificed for so long, it's really wonderful to see you enjoying your new space
I bet the bread would work for you in the Dutch oven like you were saying. I haven’t tried it on top but the magic for the oven is in the preheating which you’d be able to do for sure.
YIP-SKIDDLEY-DOO YOU’VE GOT WATER!
You know you did something right when your dog stairs out the window all morning.
Elsa you seem so happy and loving life. Look at you all in your recliner..
So comfy. 😊
Just tuned in to relax at home, Xmas day, raining In Melbourne, Australia, why not, it’s our 4 seasons in one day time, so it’s raining, yeah🎉 love to see that the house/home is working out and that the vision of window placement is perfect, so jealous 😮. Keep well and hoping 2024 is just as amazing for you two + 2, family and friends is a healthy, happy, prosperous and peaceful year. God bless with the spirits of the land who provide and nurture us. My feet are up and puppy Chase is resting there and it’s raining!😊
I am so stoked for you guys!!! The place is coming along so amazingly! Also, those green recliners are freaking badass! Sweet find!!! ❤ Super excited for the new segment of the podcast well!😊
Yea! You house is perfect. It is so impressive that your wood stove heats the house and cooks your food. Looking forward to your learning how to bake with the Dutch oven. I have the Boy Scout cook book for using one on a camp fire that l recommend. You can make awesome breads now, so fun. Thanks, as always for sharing. ❤
Girl where in the world did you get that amazing yellow coat? It looks amazing on you!!✌️🤗
Thrifted!!
@@ElsaRhae I knew it was to good to be true. I said to my old man, I'll bet you anything it was a thrift store find. What a score! You guys are making amazing progress and having fun all the while. Does my old heart good. Happy Holidays, peace and prayers.💖
Camp rub-running in the snow reminded me of when Joe Cocker sang "with a lil help from my friends on SNL back in the 70's.. I love both Joe and Camp, it's said with utmost respect.. just made me laugh... Thank you..
Elsa I LOVE that sweater on you!!! The hat too, brings out your eye color. I would never choose that sweater normally, but after seeing it on you I want it!!
The views from you home are just glorious. Thank you for sharing.
Kamp loves he's chair
Long time subscriber here. Enjoy your videos and your adventures. I'm 59 & have had dogs & cats my whole life. I love how you take such good care of your fur babies. Have you ever entertained the idea that now that Camp is in his mature years he may have arthritis? It is common among our pets. My dog has times it bothers her & my sister's cat the same. I guess we're all susceptible to it.
Woohoo, running water what a luxury, enjoy the holiday season, rest relax & recharge xxx
The cozy vibes are unreal. I love it! Those coffee grounds are good for the plant soil. Since you’re doing custom counters make one of them higher than normal so you have a counter put at an appropriate height for each of you. It will help save those young backs to reduce the unnecessary bending. I’m from a family of tall people and always wished I could put in custom height countertops and sinks that are ergonomically correct. That’s another flaw of mass produced suburban homes with standard cabinet heights that do not match the heights of the people using them. Also what about a rocket stove bench heater down the road?
Love Norfolk pines. They are more of a tropical tree & like humidity. So careful with it being too close to the wood stove. Also, have you guys considered getting a cat? He/she would take care of the rodents. What a beautiful place you have ❤
Elsa, what are the sunglasses you are wearing in this video? Kamp rubbing around in the snow is too damn cute! Whoever said you are phasing him out doesn't know what they are talking about.
So so happy for you two!!
It is a good idea to run a pressure tank on your pump so it doesn't run quite as often and keeps the pressure up.
The place my friends and I visit for hunting and fishing has a nice 10 gallon pressure tank. We can start dishes before the pump needs ro run, or keeps good pressure for a Navy shower.
One of my friends runs that same pump on his distiller system that feeds his fridge, ice maker, and water boiler for instant tea and coffee. He uses a little 5 gallon pressure tank for that one.
The house is coming along amazing
So excited for the audio book!
CONGRATS 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

And I have to tell you Elsa, your coat is to die for!! Yellow is my favorite color also. 💛🧡
So exciting! Everything you're doing is good stuff.
I so want to be there to assist. Bound to the duties of running a company. I am glad to see these videos. Improvise, adapt, overcome. You two rock!!!!!
Such weird synchronicity-- when Barron said he was "making something weird..." my son was in our kitchen making bacon quesadillas too! Cool! Love seeing your house take shape and that you're getting to have more of the modern conveniences you've lived without for so long. So interesting to see inside of your water tank! I'm glad you're house is warm with the wood stove and the sun. Is the cement floor warm at all?
So Beautiful ❤️ Merry Christmas
You found your peeps, the place where you belong! I have never been there but I know people who have instantly felt that way about the people of Newfoundland. Rough land and challenging climate creates lovely people.
Merry Christmas Guys !
