Love the kit!! I'm on the a7cii atm but I'll shift to the a7rvi if it's announced this year. Also adding the 50mm 1.2...those gmaster lenses are just so good. Can't wait to see where you take the channel!😊
Love the video. Gina go look for a flash now for my setup. But can I blow your mind with a suggestion. Nikon ZF, Viltrox 20 f2.8 with Freewell VND (I know) with Mist and a Senheiser MKE 200 (the tiny rode competitor) and buy a black wire to replace the blue that comes with senheiser and soft shutter release accessory of your color of choice. This is the most attractive combo that you could walk into a nice restaurant with and no one would call you out.
As a wanna-be RUclipsr, this was so refreshing to watch. As a gas sufferer, it was nice to see content created with the purpose of being simple in carrying only what you need. You got a subscription out of me 😂.
Glad to have you! Less can be more, but don’t beat yourself up about gas, finding the right piece of kit that speaks to YOUR sensibilities is part of the process. Find the tools that help you create!!
Love the video. If you don't mind me asking, how did you come to the point where you prefer to shoot portraits on the street at 28mm, and how you got to where you keep your flash on for each shot? I've never thought of using my Sony flash on my a7r4 but now...I definitely am.
The wider 24-28mm choice was due to needing to capture the entire outfit of my subject. Anything tighter than 28mm forced me to be VERY far away from them on the street and made the interaction weird. Flash came from constantly fighting different natural lighting conditions and wanting to make the look more consistent from video to video. In both cases I need to just start and fail to discover what problems I needed to solve!
@ amazing process. Thank you for that. I’m definitely going to try that flash idea. The only wide lenses I currently have in the stable are a 20mm prime, and 24-70 or 35-150 zooms. Making me think about the need for a wider prime to test out.
Great video thank you for putting this together. I have always been curious know about your gear. I also try to keep things lean in light. Mostly find intriguing how you're doing your blog style and how you're recording your interactions with people. Really great stuff, thank you again. I did read some of the comments before watching the whole video and I was thinking the same in that Sony is great but they're expensive. Some of the less expensive lenses would be good alternatives period. I don't record myself but for video I've used the Tamron 28 to 75 and it's been really great for video. (not perfect at all, but it’s what I already have) I really liked your comment about the shutter speed and how that needs to be updated. Especially when you're trying to transition from photo to video quickly it just becomes too cumbersome to adjust all your settings on the fly.. Thanks again this is great
After seeing a few comments I'm def planning on an "Affordable" street photo set up video. I think photo gear ends up being a really personal decision with what gear "speaks" to you, but I love watching these videos to get a sense of how other people have solved similar problems - it helps steer me in the right direction! I really appreciate your comment dude and thank you so much for watching!!
I really want to pick up this type of photography, as ive only done less professional stuff. Although, i dont have the budget for a 4,000 dollar set up, what kind of quality camera set up could i get for somewhere like 500?
I would go with a Sony a6000 series camera and the Sony 50mm f1.8 lens. Search used and it shouldn't be a problem to keep it around $500. This is the exact set up I started out with.

might have to get that 16-25 for my a7iv for the 4k60 crop! Nice video, as always :)
It’s really a fantastic piece of gear! Let me know what you think!!
Didn’t even know you had a YT channel. I’ve been following you on Instagram for a while. Wishing you all the luck and success in the world
Dude thank you so much! Yeah 2025 I’m going big on RUclips!

Dude that sounds great kit!! You should make a video about this setup!!!
@ I just might. I try making RUclips videos but stay consistent in the face of 20 views is admittedly hard lol. 😂
My glasses are coming soon 😊
Just recorded a full review. Should be up soon!

What about Tamron 20-40mm 2.8 FE? Provably would cover the range you’re looking for
I don’t know much about that lens. Def gonna check it out.

@ wow 🤯
The sony A7CR would of made this much more compact
That’s true but I love the ergonomics of the A7RV!!
