Just found you by chance watched two ofyour videos. i must confess i cant stop wathcing you.Your videos are simple and straight to the point, i have subscribe to your chanel
Thanks for this video. I have reviewed so many back swing instructions but never heard this tip, i am excited to try this so i can reduce pulling the club head inside on my back swing. Thanks again :)
Hi Michele, good to see you back on the green grass. Thanks for the simple, easy to understand instruction. It helps to slow down the backswing to keep the clubhead on track.
I can tell you had good coaching and worked very hard on all of your skills for a long time. I use your channel as my teaching library. I have struggled with take away this year, but will intentionally work this drill. Thanks!
Thanks again Michele for a great presentation on handle position, I recently started with a small forward press swing and got better ball flight. Before my shots were high and distance was normal now the ball lands and continues to run out further. Always good to see you outside teaching stay safe
Thank you Michelle!! Your analysis is spot on. I have been struggling the last year with my ball striking. I have had a slight forward press (my left hand over my left thigh) forever. Saw this video and had a light bulb moment. Moved my hands to a neutral position and my ball striking improved immediately…hit 7 greens in regulation my first time out with new set up. Played my second round with my new set up yesterday and broke 90 fir the first time in a year:) Keep the videos coming, I’ll be watching.
This makes a lot of sense to me , got in front of a mirror and tried the various takeaways I’m a forward presser and I could really see where things can go wrong (I’m hitting pushes lately with the occasional snapper) , great advice! and glad to see you back on the course
Michelle this is an amazing topic. I'm a 6 handicap and I have so much trouble just setting up to the club. Cause I'm a decent golfer I get twitchy when I feel the club is not in a good position in relations to my back swing or what I'm trying to do. Amazing explanation. I could sit over the ball for minutes just to figure out your explanation:)!
Genius! I've been trying to cure my flat backswing and dipping my head during the backswing. I just tried this and took a video. Great results by using your natural position and somewhat behind position. Thanks.
Another quality video Michele, nice to see you outside on the practice area again. You explained how hand positions effect ball striking. I set up using the neutral position. Thanks for another great video.
It's such a pleasure seeing you out on the course again where you truly belong! I think you are strongly recommending "neutral" and take away. Stay well
Michele thanks for the great lesson. I think that I do all the "Do nots" that you identify. I will work on the "do's" now instead. Glad to see you back on the course and out of Lockdown. Stay safe. 👍
Interesting. This initial movement of the wrists is really key to making or breaking of the swing. Keeping the club handle neutral or very slightly forward is correct. Good to see you back where you belong! Enjoy!🙂
Sold me on neutral for a good takeaway and good lesson with the split screen. Off balance after a hundred days, understandable and real Michele. For me, having to regain balance on my form every range session is routine.
Hi Michelle, thanks for the great video. I like the way you explain the cause and consequence. I have a slightly forward position setup, something in between neutral and forward position. I found it is easier for me but it also require a very strong grip to close club face which I am not sure if it is correct. Another issue I have is that if I do a full swing, my ball flight seems become less stable and push to the 1 o'clock direction, while it is okay with half or semi full swing. I suspected it is because my head turn a little during the full swing and that cause the instability of my body setup, but not sure....would you give me some suggestion of these issues..Thanks :)
Hi Michele! Looks like you still got your swings after 100 days away from the course👌👍👍. Just kidding!😁😁 Great to see you back and thank you for great tips. Wish i am near you so i can take some lessons to improve my game!🤗🙂👏👏👏🖐🖐
Michelle I tend to immediately close down the face upon take away. Any suggestions to fix that? Great lessons as always. Thanks so much for creating these videos in English.
Michelle nice explanation. Relative to this grip position principle, what do you think of belt buckle/stomach rotating up and then down towards towards the left heel? When I watch your swing, it always seems simple, synchronized and effortless. Very impressive.
@@michelelowgolf7501 I will try to explain the question better. It seems that the core/belt move left is up and back to the right (core and back). Then (it seems) the move reverses down from the core/belt down and ends with left heal pushing up and around. This feels like the clearing motion. In my case, the right arm feels rotated back and up. The left move a core/belt buckle pull down towards the left heel. This seems to cause a push up from the left heel, the stomach pulls the core and shoulder left (down and around and a). Maybe you can can refine this (feel/thought/move?) because you sure make it look easy.
Thanks, Michele for the good tip. I also have tried to keep my left arm close to my body throughout the swing. With that, I sometimes hook the ball (I am a right hand golfer); otherwise the impact is better. Do you recommend to keep arm (either right or left arm or both) close to the body throughout the swing? Thanks.
Thanks for your good lessons. But why some pro suggest that at the top of the back swing, the club of the driver should be parallel to the ground, thanks
@@michelelowgolf7501 Thank you for your reply. I have watched a lot of your videos these days, I am referring to the video you teach people how to play the driver. Because that video is half a year ago, i am afraid you can't see my question, so in your latest video ask you.
Michele, I have been working on driving the ball a little more accurately. The driver I currently use is square head and probably 15+ years old. Do you think it's better to pay for lessons at 150/hr or put $150 towards a new driver and watch your videos?
So I watched your video on the 3 club positions and was wondering if it applies to all irons from short to long irons if so how are you not pressing with the short irons (wedges) and how do you adjust with the long irons.
This set up is for a full swing irons and hybrids. For wedges I prefer the handle to be just slighlt infront of the ball for chipping. I will only use forward press when I bump and run my chip shots :)
If i do the press forward position during set up, then i will not need to bow my left wrist during impact vs a neutral position at set up to square /deloft the club face.. .what are your thoughts?
I have literally watched thousands of golf videos and this lady is the most accurate and insightful I've seen. Every video is exactly what's needed.
I had lost my swing, thanks to you i got it back!! You are a fantastic coach!!!

@@michelelowgolf7501 I coach high school golf in Michigan and use several of your drills and the practice range warm up routine for the kids.
There are all sort of takeaway in the pro tour. It is the slot they could get into coming down and thru impact that counts. Thanks mic.

Try to feel like the toe of the club head is going ahead of the rest at the start of the takeway :)
At 7:25 you mention the slight hinge. Is that hinge increased at impact or does it remain constant throughout the swing?
Michelle nice explanation. Relative to this grip position principle, what do you think of belt buckle/stomach rotating up and then down towards towards the left heel? When I watch your swing, it always seems simple, synchronized and effortless. Very impressive.

I dont suggest to keep the hands too close to the body throughout. Only on the downswing the eight elbow is closer to the body

Looks like you got a reason to forward press, nothing wrong with that. If you are hitting it good, you can keep using this set up and takeaway
