Thank you so much for the tip on epoxying the top of the keychain after the epoxy in the mold had cure for a smooth top! I made a bangle and totally never thought about doing that.

Great tutorial. Your explanation on making sure the eyelet loop doesn't break off while screwing it in makes perfect sense, especially if you are experienced with breaking them off when screwing them in, like I am! LOL!
You make even the simplest creation look so spectacular! :)
Thank you! 😊
Super cute!!!
So adorable. Also love the trick with torching the dental pick, now I don't have to drag out my Dremel. This is why you're my favorite epoxy artist❤

Merry Christmas to you
I’ve seen this type of spoon stick being used. What is the name of it so I can use one? I heard it works better with mica powders and glitters?
Thank you
🙌
Merry Christmas to y’all!🎄🎅🏼
Yep totally used the crappy hardware that came in the kit, and I had 3 pieces break off in my letters.😂
Love the doming technique! I always feel like the back on my letters look so drab compared to the front. How long did you mix your epoxy for, I noticed you didn’t really have any bubbles?
Thanks for the tips. What advise can you give.My pieces crack after sometime when screws are been placed in
I love how you explain your keychains.
Do you use a different color eye screw and jump ring with different colored key rings?
Pretty alphabet keychains!! I wasn't succesful getting the eye screw in and the hole I drilled was tiny but a bit too large. I plan on filling it in with resin and insert the screw.
Thank you!
What size screw eye pins/ jump rings are you using for your Alphabet keychains. The link doesn't go through. Also do you match it to your key ring or are you just using silver? Thank you!!
Get a small torch you have more control of the heat go look at my dominoes short I did to demonstrate taking out the bubbles with a torch
Torches can damage the silicone molds. I use alcohol on these to prevent bubbles and avoid damage. I use a propane torch when not working with silicone.
Hey! My initials are CJ! They are so pretty.
I'm new to this the only epoxy I have is the amazing clear cast part A AND B so would it be hard and half ?
that is correct. Half B and Half A. Add side B to your measuring cup first then add equal amount of side A and mix until totally clear
Thanks for the tut. Question: you suggested to mix 20 ml...but you had lots left after doing the J...do you know how many letters you can do with 20mL? And can you use uv resin to dome coat the letter. Just making the finishing process quicker? Will the two resins hold together? How much would you sell this keychain for? Thanks so much.
I do not know the exact measurement but you can test that by measuring water in there first and measuring the water. I mixed 20 to be on the safe side. You can use fast set for the finishing and it will bond fine to the regular. I don’t know how much I’d sell this for but I’d maybe check prices with similar products on Etsy and go from there
@@FlynnSistersBoutique Thank you...appreciate the great reply. HUGS
I tried diy epoxy and I'm totally hooked! Have you tried the new fast set or are you planning on trying it?
yes, my video on the 30th will feature it! I love it!
@@FlynnSistersBoutique I've heard good things! I think I'll get some!
Hii. I’m new to the epoxy world and was wondering how long did you let the epoxy with glitter rest in the cup before pouring? All your videos are so professional and freakn amazing!
I set a timer for 5 minutes usually. thanks!
I really want the letter R keychain
I don’t understand the doming part with clear epoxy. Are you just filling it in? Love your videos! Thank you!
That is correct. so the back won't be completely smooth like the front is so the doming just smooths out the back for a more professional finish. thanks for watching!
Omgee I never thought to heat up my picker tool! I’ve had so many screws heads break off bc I was trying to gently heat the epoxy and shove the screw in and twist 🥴 Thank you so much! Merry Christmas!🎄
hope this helps! thank you!
Why did you spray with the 91 percent alcohol ?
Omg loved the torch idea to make the hole on the key chain I struggle a bit with the hand drill
When do you screw the eye hooks in? Mine keep cracking a few hours after screwing in the hooks /: I don't know what I'm doing wrong
The epoxy is cracking? What kind of epoxy are you using and how thick are you pouring
Does resin need special glitter or can you use regular store bought glitter??
Store bought is fine!
😻
Thank You!
Do you wear a respirator when you do small little projects like this?
I use PPE any time i work with epoxy
Thank you so much for responding! You truly make the most beautiful tumblers and cute accessories! Love your channel!
I'm new at resin crafts. I make really nice pieces I use uv resin and it seems like some of my molds come out sticky. I let it sit u see the light for about 1- 2 minutes but they continue to be sticky sometimes not completely dry in a small spot. What am I doing wrong🤷🤷? Help ...🙏🙏
Some UV resin can’t be poured that thick. Try a higher watt lamp and do it by thinner layers. Also, even with a good lamp and the best UV resin, 3-5 mins for the final cure is a pretty standard time for me
I have 1 to 1 ratio resin and I don't know how resin and how much hardener to put in separate cups
Equal parts. Example, if you put 10ml of part a in one measuring cup you put 10ml of part b in the other and then mix them together. Equal parts of a and b.
So I just started doing these, my problem is, I can get the bubbles at the surface. But I can’t get the bubbles towards in the middle of the resin. How do I get all the bubbles out? I’ve used a heat gun and a lighter, the middle bubbles just won’t come out. What do you recommend?
Warm your epoxy well before mixing. That will help prevent bubbles. Using a metal stir stir vs wood. Mix slowly. Wait a bit before you pore to allow any bubble to rise to the surface and pop.
@@FlynnSistersBoutique I will try that! Thank you 😊
Oi, parabéns pelo trabalho. Qual o nome do equipamento que você usou para acabamento? É um bisturi? Beijos
Thank you. I'm not sure sure what equipment you are asking for. I used a blade to clean my edges and pliers to attach my harware. All of my materials are linked in the description box of my tutorial.
does the resin have to cure at any specific temperature?
most have a temp range that they prefer. You'll want to reference your epoxy's data sheet for that info. Usually it's between 70-75 degrees
Can you use a heat gun instead of a torch to pop the bubbles?
yes, just don't apply too much heat.
Which epoxy did u buy from the alumilite.please
Amazing clear cast formula for this
There is some molds that have the holes pre made to make it a keychain
Cool! I didn’t have those when I filmed this years ago.
would using a heat gun be fine instead of a blow torch ?
yeah that'll work. you just can't keep the heat on it for too long
Do we need to add hardener in resin first ?
This epoxy requires that you mix equal parts of the resin and hardener. Typically you’ll pour the thicker viscosity part into the thinner one so it’s easier to mix but you can mix it however you want to
