Very underrated content here. I love how you did all the diagnosis you could the easy way first, and used your brain to get to the next step. A lot of people would just start tearing things apart and get nowhere fast
I've never heard an engine make that kind of noise. Thanks for following the issue home! As a shade tree mechanic who usually only works on my own vehicles... It's good to know but I hope I never have to use this knowledge! 😂

Thanks Brendan, I had fun on this one. And I learned something, that’s the best part.
Pretty good troubleshooting. I'm impressed.

@@ToolDemos Oops I had to go back and edit my original comment it was early and I wasn't a hurry after I got done watching the video LOL sorry
Made sense of the misfire life data I'm getting. Crosstalk between the cylinders. Not that bad though.
@@andrewlace right on!
Awesome work Steve..✌
Thanks so much! 👊🏼
This channel will get huge.
Nice detective work. I like your diagnosis process.
That's the infamous 3v 5.4? Good luck!

Sounds like something from the throttle body ?
@@coycarlson4979 yeah, the pop was coming right out the throttle body.
And I was closer to on the nose without a machine.
Experience counts for a lot.
Broken valve spring on cylinder #6
@@johnnyfivealiveable very good guess!
Spark plug came out 😂
That would make a popping noise that sounds a lot like an old lawn mower.
Have not got past 2 minute mark. My experience tells me it's a exhaust valve not opening. Could be rocker or lifter.
Your experience serves you well! Great job.
It's engine 🍻🤣
rocker warn out
Exactly right!
Bent valve 🫣
Very good guess.
There is no oil under the valve covers that probably causes the problem
True, the updated rocker has a smaller hole to keep pressure higher and improve oiling.
Possible valve spring broken
@@haldooley4940 great guess
Sound like flaps in the intake
The sound was definitely coming from the intake.
Bent push rod
@@donaldblank8873 great guess! I’m sure the symptoms would be the same.
Intake valve burnt😂
Very good guess.
Out of time. It's a backfire in the intake.
loose spark plug
Good guess! That can happen on these Fords.
