I just got my X431 CRP919EBT from amazon, the reason why I bought it is because work with inmo program keys and more, I have an Autel MaxiCom MK 906 pro-ts and doesn’t work for keys or inmo, also the software update is about $595.00 per year, so to me this is a great tool for a great price and more functions.
Just a note before you buy a LAUNCH PRODUCT. I Am a home mechanic here, just bought a LAUNCH CRP 123, after watching your channel, finally got it working and thought good I now have a scanner for the life of this car, Update for one Year, that's ok I thought, once it works that's ok But then found out if you don't subscribe to do the update in the next year, they send a signal to your scanner that stops it from working at all, until you pay for a new subscription you will then have a crap BRICK------- IMAGINE IF MICRO SOFT sent a signal to turn your computer off at the end of the first year because you did not pay the ransom.
In the graphing section I noticed an arrow on the right hand side mid screen. I think this arrow would show you the other graphs that the single screen could not display.
Many Thanks for this comparison which helps me a lot. At 10:26 you compare the toolboxes of both devices. Does this mean that the CRP919 is limited to TPMS,VideoScope and BST 360 and it is not possible to use ImmoProgrammer, Oscilloscope etc with this device? Thanks
Thanks a lot for the review. I just picked up a new Pro3 Ace this Black Friday week. Impressed so far after having come from several Autel devices over the years. Quick question if I may, as I haven’t seen this addressed in the manual: What’s the difference between the Smart Detection and System Scan? Thanks!
System scan does a quick scan of the modules on the car but doesn't check any codes, it is a quick way to see what modules the scanner can detect and communicate with. The smart detection will scan all modules and list any codes those modules have which takes a bit longer to get through because it is doing a more detailed scan.

@@737mechanic I agree. I thing the 3 year update was also great. I mean they're all great tools. Some better than others at certain things for certain cars. Always great to have a couple like you said. I actually got the xtool cause of your reviews and comparisons thank you for that
@@ysitrim88 It was for the longest time. It still is when it comes to programming keys but for typical diagnostic work I prefer either one of the launch scanners.
@737mechanic That's good I was just giving u crap lol I have the D8 also and I like it, My go-to scanner is the Topdon Phoenix Plus you should do a review on the Phoenix Plus.
Bought both. 1 to keep and 1 to resell to recover costs. I ended up with the Kingbolen K7 because of the 3 years free update. The 2 are very very similar.

I have 2 launch scanners, and an Autel that still work 100% after they expired.
if u have auto updates turned off and dont have it hooked to the internet that wont happen. just for future reference

@ Great, thank you. It’s what I was thinking to be honest, kind of like a ‘gateway list’ showing what’s fitted but without delving into them.
How much did you pay for it?

Xtool will pull keycodes on dodge still. I tried upgrading to this from my d8s but just couldnt do it. Had to send it back
Xtool is hard to beat when it comes to key programming. Unless you have a dedicated key programmer.

Little unrelated comment. Did the Mobil 1 lv atf hp fluid change fix the shudder in your 2016 gm truck long term?
Yes it did. I have about 35,000 miles on it since I did the fluid change and still no shudder.

I would have to get ahold of the Otofix.
Can you email reports with the 919?
Yes, but you will need to save them as PDF files then email them.
Do you have any experience with kingbolen k7 and compare to 919e bt ?
