      School only teaches you some of the "basic" stuffs which isn't even reliable anyways in society.
      We're humans and we learn to become independent by learning and researching ourselves.
      Internet has almost limitless educational knowledge anyways, that's why we learn more than school because it has so much to offer.

More people, for instance, will die from economic problems than from the virus. Precautions can take care of virus.

      I’m afraid I must disagree in part. While we do have antibody tests to tell if a person has had coronavirus, they cannot tell us if the person is immune. Though they have lingering antibodies, they may not necessarily be strong enough to fight off reinfection. At this point, all we can really tell with said antibody tests is if a person has had the virus. As for long term immunity, I seriously doubt that it will happen.

      @@Logan-fd7nh The purpose of herd immunity is not developing long term antibodies, is to erradicate the virus from society. If everybody gets infected at the same time, the virus will dissapear, because it will no longer have anybody left to infect. When I say "everybody" getting infected I'm obviously talking about the healthy population. The risk factor groups should stay isolated while the healthy ones fight off the infection and become immune. If every country of the world does it, then covid will ultimately dissapear. That's the theory behind herd immunity.

    According to the AntiBody test happening nationwide, most people have the antibodies. Which means this has been around longer than February and March. And if people had the symptoms I had in February, I guarantee more people have been infected and were just told they had a virus (as I was told in February) and the only symptoms I had were chills and Nights Sweats for about 3-4 days. No cough. But I did have troubles breathing for a week during that time when I went to run. I’m an avid runner running almost daily and that week, I couldn’t run 5 minutes without taking a break. Now after all that and since this has been brought to public light. I’m certain I had it and myself and my doctor were ignorant to it at that time.

    We're playing a dangerous game with this virus right now. Other fun factors to consider, there are studies saying this virus might have much more long lasting effects on our system, such as weakened lungs. If natural immunity is unachievable and it turns out we can get this virus again, that would basically be the virus saying "I may not have got you this time but I've weakened you so that I can effect you more severely next time".

    • @geoc1
      @geoc1 4 года назад +2

      That's not exactly how virology and immunology works though. If anything, the opposite takes effect. Our immune systems builds pathogen resistance through b-cell antibodies, while T-cells take care of the light work. With time, our immunity is comprised of a fortified 'army' of iGg immunoglobin, thus making us less susceptible next time around. What's not conclusive , is the strength and duration of immunity. If it's similar to other 'coronavirus' strands such sars and mers , it'll likely be 1-2 year immunity at 70-100% strength. I do believe permanent lung damage can occur , when alveoli lining in the lung is damaged and one suffers from pneuomonia due to covid-19 disease , but not simply by catching the sars-cov-2 virus itself.

That's housing covid 19 responders. We caught it. Now, we're not staying at home once we're done with our 10 days isolation. I will make a point of exposing us as much as possible to maximize the durability of our immunity.

    Herd immunity is already happening, whether we like it or not. Because the test is still hard to come by, it's possible that the majority of the population, it could be as much as 50% or more, could have already been infected and have developed immunity to it. The "confirmed" cases are usually the ones that ended up in the hospital, but for those who have mild or asymptomatic cases, which are the majority, don't show up in the hospital and therefore doesn't get counted toward "confirmed" cases.

    I just had an idea why not do controlled infections? Kinda like how they do controlled burnings for forests. Obviously you'd have to figure out if you actually are immune once you've already gotten it (which its been 3+ months now idk how they havent figured that out yet)
    Once you find that out figure out how many people you can infect and not overburden the hospitals (low ball it a little just in case some people naturally infect others). You make an announcement that we are trying natural herd immunity and need volunteers for infection. keep in contact with the people just in case the few % who need critical care can get help. Then wait 2 weeks after they have it or however long they say that you are no longer infectious/immune. Then put out a call for more people to voluntarily get infected then repeat.
    I know itll take months but that could be faster than the vaccination herd immunity one

    Confused. Still.
    Video says for natural heard immunity the US alone would need hundreds of millions of people to be sick at once.
    #1. The US population is 328 million.
    Q. How many hundreds are they talking about? Is it 1, 2, or 3?
    #2. It seems to be that many people contract and recover from this with virtually no symptoms, so why would they need to be "sick" at the same time?

    and this all depends on how long coronavirus antibody immunity lasts in the body.
    we need widespread, reliable testing to determine exactly how many people either actively have the disease or have antibodies showing prior exposure.
    then we need to track how long the antibodies last and how many people test positive again.
    and all that takes time.
    patience is a virtue, you know. 😇

    • @Artlutherie
      @Artlutherie 4 года назад +1

      Agreed. Widespread, reliable antibody testing is crucial! Without robust data on how much of the population has contracted the virus, the authorities are just handling this pandemic blindfolded.

It maybe uses a code injection within the comment that when you interact with it, it will execute the code inside the comment which will exploit the OAuth token system to give them access to your account. I'm no cybersecurity expert but that's my theory. Although idk if code injection is even possible on YT comments.

      Yup, which means more of the economy should be opening. We've made loads of personal concessions to fight the virus; now, we need to start thinking about the economy.
      This wasn't supposed to last this long. We were only supposed to lock down until we knew the healthcare system wouldn't be overwhelmed. Well, it isn't. Now, hundreds of thousands of businesses are gone. I'm tired of fighting this battle. I think a lot of people really get off on the sense of moral authority the virus gives them. For some, it's just an excuse to control their surroundings.

      there is no way to become fully immune. and no the government does not believe there is a way to become fully immune. thats why he's making a vaccine to reduce the possibility of getting it. your best bet at becoming immune is probably to have your parents have it and make them survive and let you be born giving you a chance of immunity through genetics or simply getting a vaccine every few years.
