    Second ride out on the Mondraker, and this time somewhere a little more familiar, Laggan Wolftrax.
    While we started and finished at the trail centre, our main focus was to ride more of the hand cut, more natural stuff on the other side of the glen. Really glad we were on the e-bikes, as it allowed us to get plenty of runs in without taking up too much time.

      I’m the opposite, I find it difficult to pass the place without stopping.
      You could technically cycle over the old military road to get there, if you were feeling especially fit😜

    Good stuff Andrew. The start on the gravelled portion, I was thinking "damn it was a bait and switch title!" then you got to the hand cut brown side. Very nice over there! My kind of trails.
    Still surprised that when it's cold & damp enough to have frost, you remain gloveless. Even if it's cold enough to make the eyes water, you're gloveless. Your hands must run warm.

      @@seanoneil277 2016 Levo, 2020 Pivot Shuttle and the Vitus E Sommet before this one.
      All very different bikes. I think this one has the best motor/battery combo. The geometry is the best too.
      The Levo was quieter, the shuttle lighter and the Vitus a little more descent focused.

    Top Video Andrew. Was this filmed on your DJI camera this time? I think it does a good job of showing the depth of field 👀, especially on the 'brown trails'. ⭐🤘👍🥇⚡

    Wow again… love this place unfortunately rarely get up there. Never been on the brown hill but sure need to explore there! Beautiful riding, beautiful scenery and beautiful bike!!
    How do you feel the field of view is the new camera compares to your previous one? I have a feeling that it looks more realistic, I.e. steep bits actually look steep. But on the other hand you have less ‚superview‘ if that makes sense. What do you think? Beautiful colours

    • @McTrailRider
      @McTrailRider  5 месяцев назад +1

      The natural side is awesome! I highly recommend it.
      The field of view on the new camera is much wider than the GoPro and less distorted overall.
      I’m not sure what you mean by less superview tbh.

    • @Chris_Knopf
      @Chris_Knopf 5 месяцев назад

      @@McTrailRider aye i can see it being wider left to right, that's true, but what i mean with less 'superview' is top top to bottom seems to be narrower. If that's actually the case, then i would make sense that there is less distortion, i guess, and hence drops look more relistic. But if you haven't noticed that, I might be wrong.

    • @McTrailRider
      @McTrailRider  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@Chris_Knopf the dji actually had the taller image compared to GoPro’s superview, as well as being slightly wider too.
      Hyperview may be wider again, but I don’t like how that looks, way to distorted for my taste.

    Bike cockpit looks so much better, how did you remove the kiox, did you have to remove the motor?

    • @McTrailRider
      @McTrailRider  5 месяцев назад +1

      It does.
      Removing the Kiox was actually quite straight forward.
      The wire goes motor-kiox-then back the top tube controller. I took the wire that goes from the motor to the Kiox, and plugged it straight into the top tube controller instead.

    • @gr1809
      @gr1809 5 месяцев назад

      Nice one - fairly straight forward, cheers for the tip. Like you I'm not a fan of the clutter or additional cables. And that display is just going to get smashed 😂

    • @David-ClubDeck
      @David-ClubDeck 4 месяца назад

      Do you just have to remove the top tube controller to do this? That rear brake hose routing is the same on my Crafty R, it just looks weird. I'll have to put it into shop to get it changed. I think I'll upgrade brakes as them sram ones are rubbish.

    • @gr1809
      @gr1809 4 месяца назад +1

      @@David-ClubDeck It's really easy, remove the cables on the back of the kiox, tape the two ends together so you can pull them through the frame, disconnect the top tube mount and pull the cables through the frame and into the top tube (because you taped them they come through easy) now disconnect the dead cable and attach the battery cable into the top tube display, now fix it back to frame.
      Yeah my brakes are the same, I'll upgrade to Magura mt7 and sort the routing in due course. And the dropper is fairly poor too. Apart from that though, what a bike 👍

    • @David-ClubDeck
      @David-ClubDeck 4 месяца назад

      @@gr1809 👍 Thanks for the info, I've currently got the kiox attached to a 3d printed stem top cap mount, neater than original. I was going to upgrade to the Mt 5 E stops. Yes the dropper post isn't the best either, I've only ridden mine 5 times from new (crashed and broken collar bone and thumb🤬) and it sticks, have to pull it up. So far everything else seems great with the bike.
