I can't and won't do the technical 3 foot drops and 10 foot jumps that many of the kiddos can do; but I can enjoy watching their progress in both fitness and skills. And their parents too!! 🙂 Rubber side down .... Rule #1 is FUN!!
I love how you relish the sort of tech that some folks hate. It’s exactly the kind of punishment I enjoy, although your skills are a bit higher than mine. Inspiration!
Well done Bryan! As always, GoPro does very little justice to a massive feature that's difficult to even walk down. Moore Fun actually looked pretty interesting, I did think that a lot of the trails other than Horsethief (which is amazing) were pretty boring in the Kokopelli area but will give Moore a shot next time I'm over there.
I rode this trail two days ago! I was extremely proud to have gone more than half way down the drop in, and then clear the rest of the trail. It’s sketchy as hell!
Those breaks you pull after a drop scare the crap outta me. Every time I'm freaking out "omg he's going to fall, " but you magically stop the bike on a dime. Freaking magic man here
just bought a T-shirt...glad to help a fellow junkie in need. I've been watching your vids for awhile now and they have brought me joy when I can't ride. Cheers mate and perhaps I'll see ya on the trail one of these days!
From here in Kentucky where there isn’t anything like that it looks really gnarly. I’m taking a bike & hike vacation in Utah, Arizona and maybe some other places. I don’t have your skills but I can step off and walk the bike 🚴 if necessary. 👍☮️🌞🚴❤️
Yesssssssss.. I have the original shirt in Red, and it's pretty tattered. I was bummed that you didn't restock them and now that it's back I will buy 2. Thanks Brian!!
Dude I feel like I barely make it out of my SPD's in time when I slow-mo a bad berm entry. I cannot fathom the skill needed to unclip fast enough not to die violently on that run. You owned it. Awesome.
I lived in Fruita for 2 years (2014 & 2015). Horsethief Bench is my favorite ride. I would never attempt that drop in. I always walked it to keep myself out of the emergency room 😀. Always love the show. Bay Area rider in Moraga. Miss Fruita all the time. I was back in town last October for a bike trip. You need to ride the new Palisade Plunge.
Great work Brian! Last April, we were on our way from Fruita to Moab and I went OTB on the rock slab/rock roll/drop. Too much speed and tried to roll it. Bad move. Broke a rib and a bone in my hand. Lesson learned.
Favorite trail ever. I go there every year. 18 Road and the Kokopelli trails are in my favorites. BTW, I always walk that section. Don’t want to go to the the Fruita ER. AGAIN. Haha
Killed it Bryan, Rode this trail system last fall for the first time with my two brothers. Walked horsethief bench but will attempt to conquer it this year. Awesome trails, cool town, and don’t forget to ride 18 road while your in the area!
Nice! I rode Horsethief a few years ago and did the entry right up until that big drop and then walked the last 30%. Cleaned the rest of that trail and it was an absolute blast :).
Massive props, that section is so much sketchier in real life than it looks on youtube and it looked pretty rough. I wish I could say I did it, but like most mortals I walked it.
$13000 to fix your van??!...You need some mechanic friends buddy...It was nice to see parts of the "Moore Fun" trail again. Rode about half of it on my XC bike years ago and walked probably most of it :p That last section you did was sketch as hell...I hate crazy side drops.
Awesome content bud!!! U should check out Carvins Cove trails in Roanoke Va, there are 5 double black diamond trails & 7 single black diamond trails & many more blues & greens also, super fun place to ride
hey Joseph here I am 13 and live in Montrose about an hour or so away from there and I am getting in to jumping on bikes and want to get out on some trails soon. love the content keep it up.
Gawd that is some choppy trail. Nice job guys!!! Could not imagine trying it without locals shepherding. It looked like some air opportunities. Also noticed the high-end rider genius / guide kept wheels grounded, good call. Price of botching up a landing along there is way too high. Back a bit there was a steel stake sticking up. PLEASE cut that sucker off! I really don't want anyone getting on that. Will be looking at your shirts, sick of black or grey of course.
It was cool meeting you at 18Rds. I was the guy in the parking lot with the RIPMO. I was also riding Kokopelli trails the following day when you filmed this. Only difference is I didn't make the full descent down Horsethief. I alway chicken out at that last section. Mad props to you for making it look easy
My home trails! Grew up riding them on my BMX bike with my neighbor lol. Now riding that stuff, it blows me away we did that with no helmets on cheap BMX bikes lol. Good job making it down! Munchies is the spot man!
Impressive! Done that ride numerous times…never really tried the drop in. The first time I rode it, I don’t think it was really possible, but since then it has been reworked but is still no joke!
I regret not riding this trail while I was there for a week last year. I was able to persaude my partner to do zippity loop as an alternative to horsetheif, but overall the riding in that area is so fun and memorable.
The key to Horsethief is a maintain your line and momentum. When riders get hesitant is when they lock up and go OTB. After sessioning it for about 20 minutes, I cleaned it on 26" years ago. 29" wheels and long frames allow riders to roll the last big step down before you set up for the last runout. On 26" I had to huck that part and lock up the brakes and trials hop to set up the rollout to the bottom.
@@danwebber9494 Same here man. I rode it in 200O and my resting heart rate was 44 then, LOL I am not the same rider, but the bikes are so much more capable now. Prolly could do it still. From Ohio, but did 6 weeks in Fruita, Moab, and Durango. Best vacation I ever took. Cheers and congrats on being one of a select few who have cleaned it. I always felt it was my best achievement on a bike. Like 20 guys at the bottom whooping and yelling to really make you pucker.
The key to surviving Horsethief, is to let the pros do it and just watch them on youtube :)
Guaranteed success, worked for me. I did not die while viewing the video.
I think your on to something lol

Your riding has gotten so much better this year and you are taking on way more challenges than ever before! Kudos!
Never been happier to support the channel and looking forward to getting my tshirt :) much love Brian!
Oh man. Came for RC...Stayed for the Horsethief Bench! Amazing!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks about lunch while riding.

Brian; you’re a stud man.. I visited that trail on our way to Moab last fall and I was sliding down that feature on my ass in a few spots!
just bought a T-shirt...glad to help a fellow junkie in need. I've been watching your vids for awhile now and they have brought me joy when I can't ride. Cheers mate and perhaps I'll see ya on the trail one of these days!

Amazing video, as always Bryan. You’re the man!
My hands sweat watching you ride. Love That trail! Camped off the Mack exit many times and rode all around “Fruitie”.

I miss your XC racing videos from years past. Moab just had a multistage XC race. It's too bad you didn't do it.

Nice one Brian 👍
That entrance is so much more heinous in real life. Way to go!
That drop in is still the gnarliest trail section I've ever seen in RL, I'm happy to hike a bike it. I've seen people OTB on it every time I go there.
The engine is very common and doesn't cost $13000. Good luck and killer ride.
1:03 : best ad ever
Nice riding. Precise positioning in the cockpit keeps the OTB in check and the nerves at bay. Picked up a shirt brother, hope it helps.
12:51 looks quite scary imo, more so than much of the rest. I could just imagine getting a pedal strike on the right pedal.
Fruita is sick 🤘🏿 great video

BKXC #1, cleaned Horsethief Bench, Moore Fun and Kokopelli trails are tough but you remember them forever.
Pretty sure I hiked that section on Horsethief Bench when I was out there.
Awesome to see Remington, maybe the few minutes of fame will get him back on the pony with a go pro.
Did you mic the other rider? It adds so much to the video. More enjoyable to watch. May be old news, first time I have noticed.
Got one! To the van 🚐 🍻
