curious how the designer created the finish. As always very entertaining.
Very simple timers, the second pack has many more lapped tracks with a much better track counting system(explosives).
It's been so long since we've seen a good old fashioned multiplayer vehicle race on this channel. It's such a classic and timeless kind of fun. Definitely want more like this!
I really liked how the final race was The Enterprise (NASA shuttle) vs. The Enterprise (Star Trek).
I didn't even notice that, good call!

Length of the vehicle helps with stability when drifting. Which is the reason why the dragster was good at drifting.

There is another track set out already with many improvements to this one. Love to see that you liked the track. :) On track 15 the spaceship was too tall for that gap but the Starship Enterprise was a perfect fit.
We saw the second set but it only let us have 2 cars at the beginning and there were 3 of us so we couldn't all race unfortunately
@@scrapman Sorry about that, the rest of the cars get unlocked as the challenge goes on. You get the third car in the second or third race and you will get more cars every two or three races. Every track that has a proper name like Hyperdrive, and Dragrace is a "boss race" where you unlock another car. After the first boss race, you will get the red drag racer car.
Edit: You can use another car after the race has begun just by pressing the switch to the car you want.

Make 4 player controlled power rangers style mech in Scrap Mechanic or Trailmakers. 4 separate player-controlled limbs (2 legs and 2 arms) that can connect to a torso (not controlled by anyone) by some means. I think it would be cool. Each player would design his own limb with some instructions (total lenght from connection point to ground for legs, where to connect on body, etc). It wouldn't work good probably, but still fun idea.

This was definitely a butt clench moment, I'm glad scrapman was able to pull through with the win tho
I think an old creative mode race would be fun again, but add some random logic onto your cars that will activate 1-2 of 4 thrusters planted on the sides of your cars. One on each corner facing to either side; so frontwards mounted facing the right and to the left and rearwards mounted facing the right and the left. That way every so often you're either steered off course, spun, or shoved. Basically an RNG interference course where it's RNG that screws with your car via thrusters. The thrusters should be strong enough to slide the cars but not strong enough that they will make them fly. Also randomize how long they blast for from 2 ticks to 40 ticks. So anywhere from a short "blat" that wobbles you to a long spin that makes you do a 540.
I'm only suggesting this race because you can build cars fitting a size restriction that will also fit the RNG system, but the thrusters will be tuned to the weight of each car. So you can build a speedy small and light car, but that just means you'll be going faster when things get crazy. You can build a hefty boy and try to counter act the RNG with pure weight, but then you'll get the strongest thruster settings and a pretty slow car. There's so much that can go into it and there'll probably be some unexpected drifts that will be fun.

To be fair, the games they play are not that popular. While the whole crew is amazing the games are average at best making many people just skip over them. Heck i cant even get my friends to play scrap mechanic for more then 5 minutes because it isnt ADHD driven shooters and constant repetative action

Jokes aside, this map's track is very well made. The smooth turns and curves.

Day 101 of Asking scrapman to make a Machine that make that uses the steal balls and magnets to make the steal ball orbit around your creation with out any thing touching them and try to take out a building with it in instruments of destruction

15:58 maybe it has a color scanner and you are all different color cars
Just a simple timer you can see Moonbo accidentally set off the fourth lap with his body. I don't know how it happened but it made for a perfect finish. There were supposed to be four laps and I thoroughly tested each track out with every car to get the difficulty level of the cars. Green = Easy, Orange = medium, and Red = Extreme. Imagine my surprise when the lap counter finished the race early.
Edit: The new challenge pack has many lapped races with proper three-lap counters that mostly won't break.

My guess is the lap system used color sensors to determine how many times each car passed by. All the cars seemed to be black like the road except the unique colored stripe down it. It could also have had a cool down timer so you can't just go back and forth to get a real quick time.
You got it, just a simple cooldown timer.
How about reverse cars? The wheels are cogs and you force wheels together to drive.
Is there too much lag with 4 people on multiplayer? #BringBackKosmo but #AddNotReplace haha.. love all these guys and these videos.. good stuff fellas

day 18 of asking scrapman to do a multiplayer monday in survival mode where everyone starts at the crashed ship and has 30 minutes - 1 hr to build a vehicle, no glitches, thrusters allowed
