Thanks so much for this fantastic tutorial. I have been back and forth with the Pinterest help team for months to no avail. There really is no clear support for this service unless you want to cough up the money to allow a third party to host your data. I started to manually upload my 200-something products pin by painful pin until I came across your video. Your clear guidance has led to my catalogue becoming verified instantly - Ah-Mazing!!!
if you're getting issue with csv file to fill in , there is an easy way to fix that better than google drive and all of that stuff : 1) go to google sheet file 2) click on file 3) click on publish 4)choose publish on web 5) choose link format (csv , tsv ) 6) copy and paste on pinterest . and thats it .
I just started my online shop two weeks ago and have found this video to be INCREDIBLY resourceful. I’ve gone back to watch it several times while optimizing my Pinterest business account and getting my catalog set up. Thank you!
Honestly, SOOOOO impressed. Thank you for walking us through this! This has been so daunting, without clear direction on HOW to do this! FINALLY, we found YOU!
It worked for me by following the step by step instructions. I made one mistake along the way but realised I downloaded it incorrectly. And, fixed it easy@@subreezy 👌

Thank you so much for your knowledge! May I ask a question? My price depends on the quanity they choose from the drop-down section on the product page. For example, they select: a quanity of 5, the price is $7 a quanity of 10, the price changes to $12 How would I go about doing this? Do I add another column of 'price' and does the quantity go under 'variant_value'?
Thank you sooo much! I never would have figured this out without you! I'm not sure I quite get the variations part, but at least I can add my individual products, which is AWESOME!! Thanks again!
Hello, thanks for all your great teaching! I am a newbie here and I have a quick question: Let's say I do everything as you directed, but what happens when I add new products to my Shopify store?? Do I have to create a new spreadsheet and upload it to Pinterest? What will happen to the current products showing on my Pinterest account? oh! and another question: why do you recommend doing this manually instead of automatically? What is the difference? Thank you!!
Thank you so much for this. I’ve been trying to find something for month getting so confused. Your guidance is much appreciated. Going to work on this now!
Many thanks for this invaluable step-by-step guide, which I followed to the letter. I encountered an issue with Google Drive. For some inexplicable reason, Pinterest is not able to access the file despite me removing any restrictions as per you instructions. Not sure what the issue is as I've troubled-shooted to no avail. So, thankfully I have an Amazon S3 account where I uploaded the csv file and VOILA! It worked like a charm! Many thanks once again for sharing this great piece of content.
Fantastic tutorial... So very thorough and helpful. Great detail and especially appreciate the method to create the catalog. It's not complicated when you explain it... Great instruction. Big THANKS!
Great video. I'm helping a client connect to his BigCommerce store. How does the Test your feed work? In particular "Paste the piece of feed you want to test, including the header, into the box".
Wow!!! You are amazing. Thank you so much for this detailed breakdown. What a treat it was watching you and your wonderful energy. Thank you sooooooo much. Wishing you all the best. ❤🙏❤
I have watched a number of videos about the Pinterest catalog that have been so confusing. I have been approved for a shop but I am on Goimagine platform so there is not direct link. Your video made it so easy to understand the spreadsheet. Thank you so much for your time and effort in making this video.
Followed this step by step and when I uploaded the Google Drive URL it didn't work. Upon further reading on the Pinterest page it says it does not support a Google Drive link. Any further advice?
Hi there, thx for the tutorial. Just one question: for this manual setup, what if I would like to update an existing product feed? does that mean the feed URL for the existing data feed would have to change since making update would require a new csv uploaded and new linked created? if that's true, what would happen to the product pin and their engagement data I have created with the existing product feed?
Hello, thank you for the video. I have a question, if I have a shopify store, the catalog will be transferred automaticaly and it will appear on pinterest? all of the spread sheets here is if I don't have a ecommerce store?
Two quick questions 1) do I put the information that you are giving me on line 2 of the sheet? Also, if I do this for 1 product and upload, can I add a second product to the one I just entered like do 10 at a time or do I need to download then upload one product at a time? Very much appreciate the detailed help!!
Hi: I followed your directions on how to upload a Squarespace catalogue to Pinterest and haven't been able to get a valid url to use. I've been at it for several hours. Perhaps i missed something in the way you erased part of the link but i tried it many many times with no success. Please help.
Hi there i've been searching all over the internet on how to get my catalog approved in the easiest way possible and your video is hands down shows the best and the easiest way to do so, so thank you for a great tutorial. Secondly I would like to ask after my catalog file was validated and sent for approval I got a message from Pinterest stating that "Your product are always on sale" how do I solve this thing to get my catalog approved on Pinterest and is there a minimum requirement of number of days or months one should be active on Pinterest to apply for the Merchant Program?
So glad to hear that! Regarding your questions: 1. I haven't experienced that "error" before about sales. Is your catalog active despite this message? If not, I would test removing the sale while it gets activated and then try adding it after. 2. There's no minimum # of days to apply but you do need a minimum # of website visits to be approved. You can see all of the requirements here: help.pinterest.com/en/business/article/verified-merchant-program Best wishes!
Thank you so much for this video! I uploaded my catalogue successfully after watching this, but now, a month later I'm getting an error message asking me to 'update my data source'. I don't understand what I need to do here, if nothing about my products has changed, how can I 'update' the data source?
hey! you are doing very well. i have done all the thing as you said to show product catalog of etsy in pinterest . but the error coming about the return policy. can you please give me a solution about this.
So Glad I found this. Great Video but I do have a question. After submitting the data source to Pinterest say I want to add new products to that particular catalog. Can I add to a catalog or do I have to create a new catalog? Thank you!
Hi, Very resourceful and I am a click away from creating my products page/catalog with pinterest. However, it won't accept my product feed url because it is in HTML format even though it was saved as CSV. I tried your way but the link was giving me a 404 error code. I generated the link from google docs and it didn't go through, again, because it is HTML. Any advice?
Thank you so much for the great information. I'm still having trouble with the variant values. How does it supposed to look in the cell? For example: if you have a red shirt that comes in small medium and large, also blue shirt that comes in small medium large.
This tutorial was AMAZING. Thank you! My Question: Do we just upload the form one time, and then it's done? Does Pinterest push those products every day or ...? I'm not quite sure how that part of it works.
So helpful, I really appreciate clear and informative instructions, thank you, definitely subscribing. One question. After I upload the initial data source for my catalog, how do I handle future updates if I add additional products? Do I upload the whole catalog with the additions or just a CSV with the new additions?
Great video. She moves with lots of info. Overwhelming to someone like me. I still have one question that I still cannot figure out. Do I need to have one of those partners like Shopify for HOSTING? I am an author, and my books are sold on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc., and not from me directly. Can I link my Pinterest account with Amazon AS A HOST?
PLEASE HELP!! I am totally confused! I did everything exactly as you describe. I first opened a company account, then verified the website etc.. Then I copied your provided spreadsheet, edited it, saved it as a .csv file and uploaded it to google drive. when I copied the link, I made sure everyone had access who owned the link. Now when i paste the link and fill in the rest of the fields, pinterest does not create a catalog but gives me the error message that: Catalogs cannot access your files. Make sure the URL, username and password are correct and then try again. Can someone help me out please?
extremely helpful content, some of the best by far, i have a question. we use woocomerce and when trying to add the Pinterest pixel add on it says we have to pay, but the pinterest instruction say its free. is there a way to get around the 90 fee to use the pinterest add on pixel?

Hi, thank you for this video. I have heard bad feedback regarding Pinterest for Woocommerce, 2.2 score out of possible 5 is horrible. I am more comfortable using your manual style.
Thank you for this info. It was very easy to walk through! Question: What about when you add new products to the shop? Do I then need to add it to the CSV spreadsheet?
Hello my dear Friend! How are you today? great video! I have my website with Shopify. Would you suggest I connect Pinterest directly through my Shopify Admin? What would you suggest? I think you mentioned something about setting it up outside of shopify gives one more access to features? I hope to hear from you.
Two hopefully quick questions - 1. I was told that my data source could not be approved due to 'Merchant offers services rather than products' - I offer digital products for download. Is this not allowed? Do you have to be shipping physical items to join the VMP? 2. If I have a store which adds new items on a weekly basis, do I need to continuously upload new data source spreadsheets or add to the existing one and re-upload? Thank you!
1. That's definitely allowed - we have some in one of our catalogs (but we did connect it through the Shopify app). That's really odd that you're getting that error. Did you claim your website successfully? And did you fill out only the required columns in the data source or some optionals as well? I'm trying to think what could have cause the error message :/ 2. I believe you can just update that same Google Sheets (adding the new products in new rows) and Pinterest will fetch data once every 24h to keep your catalog up to date
@@SumnerHobart Thanks for your prompt reply. My website is claimed, I just submitted an appeal hoping to get more clarity. Re: adding new products, I would need to make the updates into the google sheets and then convert it into a csv file again, correct? Thanks for your help!
