This is true I have a Pinterest account I ignored for a year after randomly posting prior for a month. This Pinterest account is now receiving almost 10k views per month. I did nothing but post my merch there for a short moment. So now I am following this again to purposely build my new account.
I started with pinterest YEARS AGO! and now over 10 years later I'm revisiting it for our youtube channel and blog. Thanks for your expertise and easy-to-follow tips!
Wanted to share a warning to people eager to use this strategy. If you open a new Pinterest account and create a board with a bunch of pins within the first few days, your account might get suspended for "spamming". This just happened to me. From what I've read, Pinterest's algorithm will find a new account suspicious if pins are being added all at once in a short amount of time. The funny thing is, I was adding pins I actually found interesting. But I guess my enthusiasm made me seem like a robot. Currently working on appealing the suspension. Wish me luck!

There are times when I'm searching for something on Google and the entire first page is almost all Pinterest links. I think it's an untapped resource for YT creators. I really liked your tips on creating boards that have lots of content as soon as they're posted. Genius!

To the post frequency part of his video… he is correct. For the last month I’ve seen exponential growth from posting multiple times a day and it got overwhelming and I stopped for like 2 days and I saw my growth slow down then I started batching and pre planning the content for the automated posting . That took a huge weight off me being as I’m the type of person when I’m in the zone I can go for hours and it honestly felt like it was way faster that way even during creating and edit process!! I’ve went from 9 monthly views (pretty much never posting anything organic as I had no intention in growing the page at the time) to 2.9k monthly views in less than 30 days after implementing the multiple posts a day!!! What he is saying works for sure! The real kicker is it was all my own repurposed content! Great advice in this video!

Great video. I really appreciate how fast you went through everything and how thorough you were -- no fluff to try to make it a longer video, just good info. I'm also glad to hear that you don't need to post every day. Every other pinterest video I've watched says to post at least 3 pins every single day. Whew! When you're getting started, that's alot!! So I like your strategy of starting once a week, then gradually increasing the number of pins you post. I also didn't know that Canva allowed you to schedule pins, so that's great info. Thank you! Canva only lets you schedule pins if you have a Pro account. With a free Buffer account, you can schedule or queue up to 10 pins. That's what I'm using right now.

With pinterest, one of the best ways to market would be through *influencers* - although the find may be difficult hence that's why collab tools exist such as the one with *phlanx*
This was so helpful. I have managed to get 90k views a month with just random posting and not much strategy. Will look forward to trying out some of these to see if I can boost that. Especially using idea pins as I wasn't really sure what they were about.
@Genevieve Johnston same for me. But the thing is...Make sure you don't give up, be consistent. You never know when one of your posts might blow up. Maybe it also takes time for the algorithms to pick your stuff up. I am overwhelmed on how many stuff happens behind the scenes. Keep posting and it will work out. Some people have thousands of videos and photos. You just need to get better at what you do and post what you enjoy most. Not only in the idea to make money, but you need to enjoy it first. First is growing audience which can take months or years, but after that there are many methods on making money out of that audience. At least, this is my take on this. I am struggling also, but i have given up on things too many times in my life. I had enough. I will do what i like and it will work out somehow.

Welp, followed your advice, set up my business account, populated it with interesting pins. Did all of this yesterday. Just rec'd an email from Pinterest saying my site has been suspended for possible spamming. Update: they gave it back. Phew!

I set up Pinterest years ago, put a load of images on it then forgot about it because it never seemed to go anywhere. I like the idea of adding other content to a board to generate interest, though as a photographer I question the ethics of pinning other photographers' work onto my board to get traffic and then adding my own work into the same board. People may get confused between whose images are whose, not to mention the copyright aspect. Perhaps this approach is fine for blogs, DIY, etc., but not so much for photography / art 🤔. Great video though!
@@goilo888 People who post to Pinterest are supposed to seek permission from the copyright holder. That's in their T&C's. How many people do you think actually do that, instead of just pinning what they like when they like? The whole thing is one great big copyright issue. All they do is wait for a DMCA notice from the copyright holder, and they're banking on many not bothering. Yes, people want to have their pins shared, but most of the material being pinned is not being pinned by copyright owners.

If you’re talking about people making a pin using a copyrighted character - say something from Disney - then of course that person needs to have permission from Disney to do so. What I’m talking about is if I take a photo of the Golden Gate Bridge and put it up on Pinterest then I have absolutely no recourse if someone else wants to re-pin that on their own travel related Board. It is literally the whole point of Pinterest.
@@goilo888 We are. The majority of what I see on Pinterest is someone pinning someone else's copyrighted work i.e. not their own work, just something that they've seen online somewhere and they pin it. For people posting their own work for exposure that's a different matter.

Careful with this info. I watched the video and did the Pinterest Board Strategy. I was kicked off Pinterest the next day. I didn't have the account for more than 24 hours. Probably for using other peoples pins, I'm not sure they wouldn't give me an answer on as to why I got kicked off. In good news it made me not be lazy and make my own boards
