@@maxmustermann-zx9yq using alliances from other factions allows you to borrow allied armies for limited amount of turns. If a hero with immortality is wounded in one of these armies they go into the player's hero pool instead of the AI's.

I love the visual of the Jail System. On my own Yvresse run I had both Morathi and Settra in at the same time. Knowing their place in the lore it just made for a humiliating visual.
Checkboard does feel like the AI now tries to spread out more and push between units. But I have been having more success getting the AI to chase units, such as fast cav into kill boxes, and using fast cav to distract the faster portions of the enemy army that they would normally flank with. I also find having some really tough high leadership melee helps as a front line. Like Greatswords, where as spearmen and similar lower tier units seem to get pushed through too easily.
This could make for some really interesting builds, e.g. when the Skarbrand in disguise keeps at least some of his original traits and you can do this more than once and try to borrow an army and steal him as a hero. But it would also be a vanity project I guess, very time consuming :D
Legend out here teaching me new things like spell res affecting disintegration rate, I've got 1.5k hours in WH3 with a bunch of demons games and still didn't know that, damn!
Repositioning archer units is bugged. Super annoying and happens regardless of whether you have installed the beta or not. Props to CA for reintroducing a twenty years old bug.
Similar thing happened to me with jailing Belakor who invaded Ulthuan, next turn the lord of the defeated army was lvl 1 Belakor named like a generic lord on the campaign map.
Skarbrand escapes prison. Gets picked up by random Khorne faction. Is placed on the bench until the settlement builds the bloodthirster building. Must wait for his turn in the recruitment line. Is finally recruited into the army as a bloodthirster. Must give up his axes for the standard issue two-handed one. FINALLY, is recognized as THE Skarbrand, and promoted from unit to hero because the army leader refuses to give up their position to someone outside of the faction. Legend gets the save and the video begins. This is my head canon for the lore reasoning of the battle. Great video.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is due to that new demon reforged mechanic, something that I actually find rather annoying as it appeared towards the end of my campaign and left me quite confused as to why all of a sudden so many units remained (including the lord I had just painstakingly taken down, which just happened to be Kugath with his 19k health bar and army full of elite units) after every single battle I had just won. Really should have been something to only apply to new campaigns.
This is an hilarious bug, its basically the game saying "you thought that you don`t have to deal with skarbrand anymore, well surprise mf because i`ve got another one for you." The bad news are that this might cause CA to look into Eltharions faction mechanics again...and i dont want them to discover that the money cheese from warhammer 2 still works in warhammer 3 (but its not that big of a deal if they fix it because High Elves have a really strong economy)

Why are the hounds just chilling and idling? In my games, it's always an unhesitating charge for massive damage. Sure, Legend makes the game "look" easier than it is, but AI is always so goofy in these vids.
Meanwhile im out there with N´kari as a lord for Skulltakers faction because for some godforsaken reason the recruit defeated faction lords mod broke and gave me the option to adop the Seducers of Slaanesh.
It's not broke, chaos factions can recruit any other chaos legendary lord, you can also get all of the warriors of chaos lords as well as norsca with that mod. You can tweak it in the mod settings if you don't want that.
Only Eltharion, not the High Elves as a race. It's his unique campaign mechanic along with his unique units(sorta like regiments of renown) that only he can recruit.

Something similar happened in my campaign yesterday. I imprisoned N'kari, and next turn, he appeared in another army as a hero.
