I like how you cut to that clip of the jump. That was nuts. Must have been a hell of a landing.
Smooth as can be on the inside. I hit it 2 or 3 times
straight sexy zj my man, most functional build I've seen and I can only imagine the time, effort and learning curve that must have accompanied the build. keep it up!!!
Thanks for the kind words! Wait till you see the updated walk around video coming soon. Everything has changed.. EVERYTHING
@@BackyardBeaters cant wait to see it my man, your making my head spin with build ideas for my own. staying tuned
I predict this channel takes off when enough people find it. Nice Jeep!!!@@!!!!
Wow!!! Thanks for the kind words! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thing is a beast man, thanks for the channel 👊🏻
Thanks for the support!
Nice man. can only imagine the number of man hours into this build
Hello from Russia!
Cool Jeep!
I have a Jeep ZJ too! I want to use the same arms.
I see all the scratches on the side, good project is spraying rhino liner all over it, I have a full rhino liner camo job and despite being exposed in many places it doesn’t get that hot, almost insulates it, idk just a suggestion, sick zj!!!
From the pnw and gettin a zj 🤘 stoked
your ZJ is F-ing sick af..
Haha thanks! Just wait till the updated walk around! Everything has changed!
I have the same rock lights. I had a zj that was never this built I have a mild build on my Dodge Ram
Hell yeah man!
Damn dude that thing is ridiculous. I have a 94 on 35s with the 4.0 and 5spd swap. I've tried making my own driveshaft and failed. How do you do yours?
Thanks!! Sweet to hear of other zjs doing 5 speed swap! I have a video on my channel showing how I make drivelines, check it out!!
If you have the 249 out of a 96-98 ZJ, keep it. Do not swap in a 231. The 249 is MUCH stronger than the 231. The 249 already comes with the 6 gear planetary gears and the extra wide chain, not to mention the beefier case. There is absolutely zero benefit to swapping in the 231.
IF you must do a t-case swap, then get an actual upgrade, like an atlas or the 241 out of a JK. Those JK t-cases literally bolt right onto the ZJ tranny.
Excellent thanks for your help.
Awesome
Cherokees are so cheap to buy.... No frame is why i went with a Wrangler but for a budget build they are awesome. Can find them built to the hill all day long for 3-5 grand or stock for 500 bucks. Great starter build for sure. 👍
I have a Jeep TJ with a similar axle setup, waggy 44 with rcvs and an 8.8 on the rear. I've been running 37s without any trouble. How have yours held up with the 39s?
Held up just fine for over a year on the 39.5s before I pulled them for the tons and 42s. Never had a single issue
Deflate your tires and you won’t spin so much on the rocks. Just a thought.
I run less than 5lbs. Air pressure isn’t the issue. Those tires were just bald and rocks are wet and slick around here.
Great build ! What coilover are using using front and rear? Could you give detailed )) like 2.5 body 12" transfer upper and lower spring rate
I go over alot of that in the video. 12" 2.0 radflo emulsion up front, 12" 2.5 fox performance series rear, I don't remember the exact spring rates but it would be different per vehicle.
We need to wheel
When you were on this setup were you running the super 8.8 kit?
Nope! Just had disk brakes and custom Dutchman chromolly axles
@@BackyardBeaters Nice, I’m building a 8.8 and a dana 44 hp out of a 76 ford truck for my ZJ. Your build inspired me to build mine.
@@codylee5132 hell ya!! Love to hear it!!
Hey what lift kit do you have i cant find one where i can fit some 40s on my 97 ZJ
100% custom made
What are your front spring rates and what psi are you running in the shock?
I have since sold those shocks so I'm going off memory here, but I know I was running 150lbs of nitrogen, and I THINK the spring rates were 350 over 325
Wait thats backwards 😂 always heavy spring on bottom. So 325 over 350 my b
damn didn't know Faze banks was into zjs
Wat
What exact fuel pump mounting ring do you have? I’m wanting to do the same fuel cell conversion like you have.
Its a genright tj fuel pump mounting ring. All these jeep pumps mount the same way so it fit just fine with no modification
How long did the build take?
It never stopped. She’s undergoing like rebuild number 6 or 8 right now. Check out the updated walk around video on the channel!
nice , what hight lift you have and what is the travel on the coils
All custom so its hard to determine a lift number. Id guess like 6-7 inches. 12" coilovers all around
i love this jeep i could use your help upgrading my turd do you have a fb page or email im in seattle kent area how can i reach you thx sweet build dude
Are you going to sell your front 44
Yes however it is spoken for at this moment.
what cage kit did you use been searching for one
D&c extreme
@@BackyardBeaters thank you
What side dom did you go with for your long arms?
2” quarter wall
Bro man your rig is phenomenal hands down great job with it and your chanel thanks for the reply
Did you go hymes on both ends I was thinking on doing bushing one end wasn't sure how the hymes would do on the axle
Haha thanks, wait for the updated video coming soon. Everything has changed!
Heims on both sides of its a Offroad rig. Bushings if it’s a daily. Bushings will blow out fast if your flexing the suspension out all the time and heims are much stronger
This is true. Yeah I'm not new to mechanics world I am a heavy duty mechanic myself but I am new to the off road world and your chanel is by far the best I have come across I have a 98 zj me and my brother and we are loving it in the process of building now. When are you dropping the video
I cant decide between a jeep xj or zj or a 3rd gen 4runner
Zj is by far the best bang for your buck.
4runner all day over a unitbody not to mention 3rd gen's had a elocker option and a 3rz is one of the best engines toyota put in a runner. Avoid the v6 tho.
@@bryanmayes9234 have fun paying 5-7k for a truck that your going to cut apart and throw half away. I paid 180$ for that bad boy in the video, name another 4wd v8 straight axle 4 link front and rear rig for under 500$ all day? You can't. Zj is cheap wheeler king.
And Rear e lockers are no better than a welded rear end. And the 3.4 is one of the greatest Toyota motors ever made you can't kill them and they make great power. Thats why everyone and their mom swaps them.
Look at your left lower arm jam nut...circa 2:22
Nice eye, she was indeed loose, tightened it a day or so after this was filmed.
Nice to see another zj. Where u based in pnw? Portland area?
Yep! Technically battleground
