    Thanks joey, I'm gonna give this a go. I usually do bag over bar, or floor to shoulder. So more movements with a sandbag is a big plus. More sandbag videos in the future?

    Honest question - Are sandbags like atlas stones in that they are quite risky on blowing your biceps out? That is the only thing that is stopping me getting some sandbags to toss around and carry because it wouldn't be worth the risk for me.

    Hey there! I myself am just getting started with sandbag training. Right now i train with a home-made one that weighs about 30 kg but it's not practical and i wish to upgrade to a proper sandbag; i am not sure as to which type to get, whether it's the pre-determined weight ones like the Cerberus and Rogue ones or get a large sandbag and work my weight up, much like the Ironmind large sandbag.
    Right now i am mainly doing the "squatter's rights" workout by John Brookfield (10 sandbag squats immediately followed by 20 bodyweight squats and back again) for time (i am at 7 minutes straight) and some sandbag carries - for the first one the 30 kg seems light at first but it soon becomes harder as fatigue starts to sit in; as for the carries, 30 kg is definitely on the lighter side and i do not feel that i am getting much from it.
    What shall i buy? A couple of fixed-weight sandbags (say a 45 and a 60 kg from Cerberus or Rogue) or get the Ironmind large sandbag and gradually increase the weight by adding more sand?
    Thanks to everybody who'll reply.

    Hey man I have a question. How strong would I be considered if I can pick up an carry a 400LB sandbag at 160lbs bodyweight

    • @jacobsanchez6924
      @jacobsanchez6924 3 месяца назад

      Based on my calculations you’re strong enough to lift a 400LB sandbag.
