Unfortunately, it seems they read you as a woman who gives things away for free. I am going to be clearing out my closet soon for Spring, so I'm happy for this inspo. I literally just did this 10 months ago. The way people treat me is completely different. It’s sad that being proud of your body, results in being treated poorly. However, dressing modestly has truly changed the amount of respect people show me. I am not saying it’s right. I am saying it is true though.

Yes I believe that looks matter.. When I look good. I feel good and it is effortless to be nicer to the people around you.. You are so happy and your patience is extended because u feel good in the inside out. What I noticed about animals, when they're in normal or happy condition they groom themselves esp cats.. I know when a cat is depressed or feeling ill if it neglect grooming itself.. Cats dont like being dirty when they're in a normal state.. What's more of us humans to act responsible and put some work to our looks.

This is true. When I’m at work and don’t dress nice I feel less confident and professional. Same with when I go out. If I don’t put effort I’m more quiet and to myself and feel shy because I’m not the best version of myself
I’ve been bullied at jobs because I dress nice and wear makeup, guys would constantly say I am high maintenance and always say “they want someone natural and can get their hands dirty” 🤦🏼♀️ I wore 3 inch closed toe heels to work and everyone picked at me the entire day. My family picks on me too because I try to put myself together and always like to look nice, in my experience even when I dress nice and wear heels to feel good it’s caused more drama and made me feel worse about myself 😢
I went through that in my 20s. I'm now inmy 40s. As simple and silly as it may sound but people are haters, envious and jealous. Men and often times women are manipulative. Men I found were testing and playing mind games bc they wanted it easy to sleep with me. That included criticizing me for being "high mainenance". It used to hurt me but not anymore. It's my money my life. And believe me I've had alot of struggle and pain and no one has been there to help me or walk in my shoes. The least and best I can do for myself is take care of myself be it on the smallest or richest budget. If I don't take care of me I know by experience no one else will. Go on taking care of yourself ! You deserve it!

@@Zoeforever I have a half sister who was a hater for many years. I get it. I mean at my current job there is a rule of no heels over 2 inches. So what do is wear kitten heels. Problem solved. Being put together and taking care of your appearance comes in many forms. For example I cannot afford to get my nails done I have major responsibilities bit I make sure they are clean and filed and I do my own pedicures. I make my own face masks and facial exofliators etc. Girl where there is a will there is a way and if we care about out appearance, health and beauty we will each find the best way that suits us and our needs. You keep being the best person and healthiest person you can be!

I still believe that “revealing” clothing is okay when worn with the intentions of feeling and looking good for ourself vs. for anyone else. And you should feel completely comfortable in it.
Every person has a personal style and certain preferences, which can change all the time or change with the times (and even the time of the day). Authenticity and quality matters too.
You’re absolutely right, it is more risky to dress revealing because it oftentimes attracts the wrong men, even the wrong women. It’s definitely a societal issue. And I think that’s where things like boundaries and discernment comes into play.
When you look good, you feel good.

Looks matter, yes, and people can use external appearance to mask, or spiritually bypass, deeper energetic unrest. For instance, using Accutane to get clear skin is a form of spiritually bypassing the deeper spiritual, hormonal, and body flora imbalance that's causing the acne. I see so many women friends who are not conventionally beautiful but have their husbands wrapped around their fingers. Thr men dont even spend a dime without asking them even though they earn it. Looks matter way less. Men are not visual. It is all about our assumption and self worth.
Beauty is subjective though, the husbands might see them as beautiful.

Looks DO matter. No, that doesn’t mean that if you don’t look like a supermodel or a celebrity beauty, your out of luck. If a woman makes a nice appearance, she is going to be viewed as good looking, and she’ll be treated differently that the woman who looks frumpy and sloppy. Everything that this presenter is advising about upgrading one’s appearance is spot on. Being aware of what we eat, dressing cute in clothing that suits our body type AND is appropriate for the environment, and doing hair and makeup that enhances our best features makes a woman look great. I also agree that investing in skincare, dental care, and mental health also helps with improving appearance. Notice that the first thing that new celebrities get done to improve their looks is dental work, because nice teeth improve a person’s looks dramatically.

A pool, play house, or trampoline in that flat area would be great ideas! Sooner than later y'all will be having play dates and the slipnslides and kiddie pools will only last a short while and something permanent will be very nice. That play house would be my number one choice since you can put a baby swing on it and baby acre will be able to enjoy it as soon as y'all are done building it!

Excellent points. Your interview comments are definitely correct. It's sad how many women will show up on a job interview particularly a remote job interview through zoom, etc. looking very unkept. Last year I was on 3 interview panels for jobs that are highly analytical, etc. and many of the female candidates just did not seem to care about their appearance. Sweatshirts are not the answer for certain job interviews. 😞
