    Nice man, more producers should show behind the scenes stuff.
    I'd like to see your take on reverb on leads and screeches, I always struggle to find a balance there (especially on leads). Either the reverb tail drowns in the mix and the whole thing sounds dry (especially when referencing in mono), or the lead tends to lose a lot of crispness and impact >9khz-ish if I increase decay or wet ratio to compensate.

      Galadus that’s a very interesting topic, just added this to my to-do list! :)))

      Have you tried "gated reverb" ? Learning this really helped.

      Max de Ruiter Indeed I always sidechain to the source of the send but perhaps I can do also a small video on this subject

      reverb is something hard to put nicely inthe mix even with good unit sometimes is the riff who don't fit for a nice and very large reverb effect

    I would be interested in stereo imaging and reverb.

      Gabriel Gomez make sure you have a look at the video after 06:27 as I’m already pointing out some of that, but perhaps I can a video later on about reverbs

    This reminds me of when I first saw the wave visualization of your old "Collabs & Ressurections" album. There was a lot of clipping going on, and with what I knew back then about mastering I instantly thought "holy shit, how could a producer like Lowroller fuck up this badly?". Now I know better.
    Fun fact: Igneon System's remix of Mixbreed Soldier looked worst of all while being the most quiet track of the album. Glad he improved over the last few years and I hope you guys will at least agree on ceasefire in the future.

    in my opinion hardcore mastering in these day even on pro label is like most of the times heavy limiter on the master
    the track who sound good after a mix-down don't need lot of mastering process
    if the mix-down is close to perfect the mastering is just more like an heavy leveling
    in these day hardcore is so loud in DB than most of times the waveform have everything to zero most of artist emulate dynamics by layering etc.... but years ago hardcore was a style that we keep dynamics
    finaly I'm agree about your opinion mastering don't need to be long mix-down need to be and yes nothing is fully fixeable by a mastering everything need to be fixed on mix-down den mastering become very easy

    I really love those formats but I think the music in the backround is too loud and distracting

    Can you please tell more how you use jst clip for higher RMS level? Any advice?

    • @LowrollerWTF
      @LowrollerWTF  5 лет назад

      Well it obviously can be only placed on the master expecting a result but if you are making any bass music in general you can use it on the main elements (in dnb the Reese bass and in hardstyle the kick for example) and maximize the rms on those elements which will automatically increase the global rms. Of course this comes at a compromise but you need to balance week between transients and having a high volume of rms in your track....

      @@LowrollerWTF thank you very much for reply. I use saturator and multiband compressor for those purposes and now going to try JST. Thanks!

    In my opinion the jst clip is the worse clip in the market try different ones , when u clip ur not suppose to introduce distortion and this one does

    • @LowrollerWTF
      @LowrollerWTF  7 лет назад +2

      N/N which ones do u suggest? The JST Clip works great for me tbh

      What about trah2 has distortion and clipping.

    • @LowrollerWTF

      Max de Ruiter the trash is a cool distortion plugin but is nothing I would put on the master though

    • @MegaVivian99
      @MegaVivian99 4 года назад

      Yes this is the worst of the market clearly, the better is the Invisible limiter by aom factory
