God i just started playing RDR2 again and have loved just riding my horse to the middle of nowhere and admiring the view and the sounds of the wilderness

RDR2 is one of the most beautiful games I've played and I'm so happy that Rockstar put a camera in the game so you can capture some really good photos ☺️
And now there's the photo mode too, in offline. I kid you not, it actually brought tears to my eyes, the first time I used it. Everything freezes, and you're free to explore. The amount of detail and LIFE in this game, is unbelievable. It seriously feels like travelling 121 years back in time. It made me feel so privileged and greatful, to be living in a time, where such an experience is possible.

@@huzzzer6083Probably not. RDR2 was in development for over 8 years and took them such an effort that, for the very sake of the development team, it will probably never be done again. GTA VI will undoubtedly be really good, but I don’t think you should expect RDR2-level detail and open world, because it’s just too much to reproduce.

@@singingcat02I genuinely think GTA Vi will absolutely be better. For one, they are directly building on pre existing milestones achieved in RDR2, and even using an upgraded engine on the game. Don’t get me wrong, no game imo has come close to how advanced rdr2 is but I genuinely believe due to the leaks, updates, and just how well rockstar games stand the test of time that gta vi will be high level. Don’t forget GTA V came out since 2013 yet is still compared to modern games. Rockstar is cooking.
What an insane *leap* in graphics we have accomplished. GTA 3 wasn't so long ago. Put GTA 3 up against this and its like "da fuq?"

Sometimes i just take a walk in night and look at the Stars
This game just feels so alive. You can see birds in the distance, dust storms, lightning and rain, wind and dust. If you pass by someone they will greet you. Even in the strangest places there is an ocasional person riding their horse or camping for the night. And sometimes you just feel completely alone. That’s the beauty of red dead redemption 2. The artificial loneliness and the artificial “aliveness” of the game. Rockstar is really the best at making games with a population that interacts with you and doesn’t just react or say something when you run them over or shoot them.
Even in GTA V, some NPC actually talk with each other/ may randomly stop and start telling you some wild story about themselves🤣

GTA 6 won't have the splendor of Red Dead though, despite likely having even better overall visuals. Cityscapes aren't as visually stunning as a wide open rural environment, and only Red Dead can exhibit that given that the setting of both franchises is polar opposite.
Beautiful presentation. Thanks and keep putting out these awesome reminders of why we fell in love with this Gameworld. You can clearly see how much love Rockstar invested into this. I bet if we asked them they would say "This is our baby".

Mods more than likely.
There is a 21:9 ultrawide screen setting only for pc
I use an ultrawide monitor, so that made the format easy to get. As for the free camera stuff, yeah mods. There's stuff for flying around, so I can fly around in first person, and then there's also a few mods that allow the photo mode to be unpaused. The modding community is doing great work. I even turned into an eagle for one shot!

It's 2022, and RDR2 is still the most beautiful game I have ever played.
Not just the scenery, either. Best writing of any RPG I have ever played, too. Most attached to a character I've ever been. All-around, this may be the best RPG or game I've ever played.

Thanks for the work put into this really nice capture edit and upload. Sadly this game's downscaling is pretty poor so if not running at native 4k can look close to this but not quite. I still really enjoy the graphics of this game nothing is perfect.

I have been alive long enough to remember the inception of video game graphics... Restricted, low color, pixel based gaming... But this game simply takes my breath away. Even with all it's bugs on the PC, I am willing to trudge through that to experience the most beautiful game I have ever laid eyes on. This is a true masterpiece of modern PC graphics. Even still in 2021.

Please make Volume 3 with Vestigia Mod - it’s an insane mod that adds many more layers of realism to the already great graphics such as ground/player level clouds (not just fog) in hilly areas.

I think i should someday replay the game again, maybe try being a bad guy. My first playthrough i spent half the time adjusting the settings, it was also ACTUALLY sad when Arthur passed away, glad John, Sadie and Charles were good, they kind of deserved to have a good outcome

100% in game with just a free camera tool. Every beauty video is always vanilla versions of the game, I just prefer showcasing things as they were created by the devs.

It's a great video, so was the first volume, but it is full of spoilers. Not for me, I played it on the PS4 Pro, but for others it might be. Maybe put a warning in the title?
