I don't believe there is a DBZ fan in the world who hasn't mimed the Kamehameha hands at some point lol
so fucking true lol
And more sit-ups and PLENTY of juice.
Dude as a kid i also practised the fusion dance with a friend till perfection. Man i remember how we synchron punched the shit outta some bullies *member the feels*
InsaneBasti me and my friend used to meet up after every new episode and recreate it move for move haha must have looked like right fucking tools
InsaneBasti I feel u bro I did the fusion dance with my friend everyday
i just want to point out that this is an amazing fight not just because its a goku vs vegeta rematch but because this is the first and only time we see a super saiyan vs another super saiyan fight for real we get to see what a super saiyan is really capable of
Jamal Taylor Not sure if you're forgetting broly vs the team unless you consider not canon
Jamal Taylor and if you meant in all of dragon ball there is gt and super although gt may be not canon super has ssr vs ssb, but if you meant in all of dbz then you're right
i just ment in z cause this was the first time toever have something like this happen excluding movies
I like that they were about dead even, it makes it more interesting than a one sided fight.
No, Goku withheld the SSJ3 transformation from Vegeta. Partly out of concern for Vegeta's deteriorating mental state, but mostly because he was brought back to life with enough energy to last 24 hours. Doing the SSJ3 transformation uses up massive amounts of energy, and significantly shortens the time he was allowed on Earth. He eventually ends up doing it to buy Trunks some time to locate the dragon ball locator thingy, and then one more time as a demonstration to Trunks and Goten to motivate them into learning the fusion technique. Vegeta does eventually learn of the transformation upon his own return from the dead, and was incredibly hurt that Goku could think so little of him as to allow him the false sense of equality.
The forms's timelimit was just an excuse though, because Goku knew the damage Vegeta caused him would be used to revive Buu, which he was clearly against. If he didn't care about Vegeta's pride, he would've just used the SSJ3 to end the fight with one hit (barely using his time) and Buu would've never been revived, but after hearing Vegeta talk so highly over their fated battle that he had been waiting for, he knew it would've shattered Vegeta's pride if he ended it like that.
More than an excuse. It was a fact. It is why Baba came and got him almost immediately after demonstrating the transformation to Goten and Trunks, who were able to mimic it after fusing. He was supposed to have another 12 hours, or so. He explains to Vegeta later that he probably could have defeated Fat Buu in that form, but he wanted their children to do it because they wouldn't always be around.
Of course, they ARE still around, but that's neither here nor there.
Bobby Duckett Yes, I know the form shortening his time on Earth is a fact, what Im saying is it wasn't the reason why he didn't use it on his fight with Vegeta.
Baba said Goku had 30 minutes left (not 12 hours) when he was about to show the form to the kids for a few seconds, which is all it would've taken to beat Vegeta with a form that, according to the Daizenshuu itself, is 4 times stronger than the SSJ2.
Goku also only decided to let Gohan & the kids be the heroes once Buu was revived, but before that it was clear he didn't want Buu to revive (he was against fighting Vegeta for this very reason). If it wasn't for the sake of Vegeta's pride, he'd know a few seconds of the SSJ3 would've been enough to ruin Babidi's plans.
Goku could not have known before hand exactly how much time would be drained away, nor could he have known how powerful Buu would be when he was fighting Vegeta. Using the transformation during that fight would have been incredibly stupid, and that is the main reason he did not do it. He was also concerned about Vegeta's instability, but for what you're saying to be true, Goku would need to be psychic.
Bobby Duckett If Goku didn't know about it shortening his time, it would be even more proof that this wasn't even in his mind during the fight. And even then, we know the difference between the SSJ3 and the SSJ2, which means Goku knew it as well. He definetly knew that it wouldn't have taken long to beat Vegeta in that form if he really tried w/o wasting time.
Goku also didn't care how strong Buu would be before it revived. Unlike Vegeta, Goku payed heed to Kaioshin's words and was decided to not let Buu revive. It wasn't until he was left with no choice (with Vegeta killing people) that he accepted the challenge.
It wouldn't have been stupid to use it because it would've clearly ruined Babidi's plans and still left Goku with at least some time on Earth. The only way it could be seen as a stupid option would be if we overlook factors we already know.
I'm a 29 year old man, and I raised my hands when I was 12 so Goku could kill Majin Buu (kid)!
MaXiMux87 just a little bit of your energy is all I need, help me create a spirit bomb.
Im 29 and still raise them now lol 😂
Epic
Goku did have the ability to go SSJ3 during the fight. He just chose not to since it would drain what time he has left on Earth. He also didn't want to damage Vegeta's pride any more than he already has.
At the same time though it doesn't make a lot of sense of their SSJ2 were more or less equal then why couldn't Vegeta use it as well? A pretty big plot hole
spoilers. he's about to watch the last two parts tomorrow.
That's why I said more or less equal and I think by now that that much is clear
Grant Schafer "the transformation consumes far more energy than Super Saiyan 2. This notably leads to extended levels of fatigue, even long after powering down. If the user has died and is not encumbered by a living body, this strain is reduced somewhat, and additional energy depletion is minimized (such as in Goku's case during his first fight with Majin Buu)." That's what the Dragonball Wiki states and I believe that's why Vegeta couldn't go SSJ3 like Goku even though their SSJ2 power levels were around the same. I'm not saying it's impossible for Vegeta, however maintaining the form will be harder.
+Grant Schafer, It's not so much as having enough power, it's how to actually find the right emotion. For example in DBS when Vegeta was teaching Kabba how to transform into a SSJ. He had enough power but didn't know how to actually harness it to achieve the SSJ state. It's the same when Goku first transformed, Vegeta wanted to find him to figure out how he managed to become a SSJ, also Goku taught Goten and trunks how to become a SSJ 3 so then they managed to achieve it via fusion.
Goku did have SSJ3 by this point, but using it here would've been a big gamble and very dangerous. The transformation alone took massive amounts of energy, and drains the time he has left in a physical form. If he had used it, he'd be virtually powerless by the time the fight is over, and he'd still need a bit of time in the form to fight Vegeta, which would just drain him even more.
Vegeta also would've probably gone apeshit as well, and who knows what he would do then? The rage could've very well driven Vegeta to SSJ3 himself, and then Goku would have no chance of beating him, because his time would expire long before that fight ends.
Overall, SSJ3 wasn't really an option here. Goku is actually smart, if he was as stupid of a fighter as he is a person, he would've gone SSJ3 and ended up screwing over the whole planet. He had two choices: Fight Vegeta in a SSJ2 state, or go SSJ3 and risk 1.) Vegeta getting so angry he ascends and this fight drains all his time on Earth. 2.) He has no energy left even IF Vegeta doesn't rage and ascend. And 3.) the amount of energy he expends using SSJ3 against Vegeta will wake up Buu anyway, and Goku has no time left.
Vegeta didn't do it on purpose, but he actually had Goku backed into a corner where SSJ3 was NOT an option.
I like this. U really thought this out and I love it because it makes sense
SSJ3 actually doesn't require an emotional trigger oddly enough, so Vegeta wouldn't have ascended anyway. As a SSJ3, Goku would've been a whole 4x stronger than Vegeta, so I don't see how Goku was backed into a corner. If you're saying that because of his majin state, Vegeta himself explains that he willingly allowed himself to fall under Babidi's spell because even though he'd already gotten SSJ2 himself prior to this saga, he still didn't stack up to Goku.
Fun Fact: The entire Majin Buu saga takes course over 2 days
bibbity bobbity buu. holy shit I'm amazed how long it took me. and he figured it out right when he heard bobbity 👏👏👏 applause
Dude. This is one of my favorite fights in all of z. The intensity with each blow is off the charts!! We definitely need more intense fights like these in supers second half!
I forgot how freaking savage this fight was
'Every breath you take is an assault to my honor'
That is the most hardcore and intimidating thing you could say to someone, that's pure desire lmao
Thank you for the double episode Curtis!
He did, but
A. It take forfucking ever to get there
B. It's really taxing so wasting it on Vegta would leave him powerless against Majin Buu
Lord Baldur way better than the vegeta pride circle jerk going on.
its true tho lol if goku said i can go to the next level vegeta would of wanted to see it and let him do it
Well, if Goku used it on Vegeta, then Buu may never have been awakened...
It has nothing to do with it being taxing
@@c_f0rce it has everything to do with being taxing
yes goku had ssj 3 and was holding back his full power at that time but goku didnt want to use it because it would damage vegeta's pride even more
Goku's excuse was that he could only use it for a short time, but Vegeta still felt disgusted that he didn't use it.
Exactly, hence the whole "he can only use it for a short time argument". Technically speaking, it is still more economical for Goku to use SSJ2 at this point instead of 3. Especially since he and Vegeta were at an equal power level. One could argue I guess that if Goku had just transformed, he could have just beaten Vegeta, and Buu wouldn't have been released. It's just that, as +Trigger Finger said, Goku didn't want to do that to Vegeta. Vegeta had essentially swallowed his personal pride to get that chance at Goku, and if he was still weaker, it would have crushed his pride even more.
Trigger Finger also as he said it consumes a lot of ki to do it it and supreme Kai said it would take up his remaining time quicker and he still had so much to do left on earth in the day
Omega 64 If Goku had gone SSJ3 he would have lost too much energy from the transformation alone and Buu would have been released anyways.
i think you mean my comment with that ssj3 able :D
You couldn't pay ANY amount of psychiatrist nearly enough to deal with Vegeta.
at least Z vegeta
yeah goku had ssj3 at the moment of this fight, but he chose not to use it.
Well kinda, but not really. That's the rewrite reasoning💭😆. Me being a Vegeta fanboy prioritize take the actual reason in that they were actually equal and Akira hadn't thought of SSJ3💭
babidi's magic only released the evil in vegeta's heart making him like that. but wanting to fight goku is something he always wanted to do
Yeah Goku purposefully held back and didnt transform for 2 reasons. 1. The transformation takes too long, and 2. He didnt want to humiliate Vegeta anymore than he already was.
The transformation doesn't take long at all. Goku transformed into SSJ3 instantly while fighting kid buu. The reason it took so long the first time is that they want it to be dramatic.
Goku said "Sorry that took so much longer than the others, I haven't had much time to practice this one......this is what i call a Super Saiyan 3" against Majin Buu. Goku transformed easier against Kid Buu because he had his body back. He was still dead when he fought Vegeta and the form took too much stamina and his time on earth like the guy said above you and like Goku and King Kai Stated through context.
Read my comment again because i wont repeat myself. I quoted Goku verbatim. if you're gonna argue quotes then get them right please
Black Wolf 096 the transformation wasn't easier because he had his body back. He also stated "It's this body... it chugs". His living body drains energy much more quickly than his halo body, it's just that in this instance he had a limited pool of energy to draw from.
he needs to go back and watch the series but im done with this argument
Much respect to you bro! Didn't know about your martial arts background. You could beat up Yamcha lol
This is my favorite fight of the entire series. The choreography and the art style are both top notch. DBSuper can’t touch this.
I really love your reaction videos. Especially those where you react to Francis of the Filth :DD
I wish you the best. :)
Greetings from Germany
Im going through severe illness stuck in bed, Thank you for doing these videos. I await for your vids, keeps me going through this bad times.
"Vegeta dancing the Bingo Dance"
Love your reactions.
The wizard's magic draws out the worst in people. Takes all those negative emotions and feelings and multiplies them. So, at some level, it is all Vegeta. Or what Vegeta would be without any kind of conscience. It is making him much less stable, but not entirely out of control.
This is one of the best fights in the whole series
he did have ssj3 ability but he chose not to use it, to keep vegeta's ego intact
I'll just reply so he sees it
Aristas I will also reply so, he will see it.
Aristas I will also reply
Aristas I will also reply so he will see it.
thanks guys :))
Toriyama is notorous for his habit of making things up as he goes with his storytelling. Technically, yes Goku had the transformation and he admits later that he held it back. He doesn't give a valid reason as to why he hid it from Vegeta and really it makes no sense for him to do that considering the situation. My thought is that the transformation was made up after this fight was written which unfortunately undermines the fight and makes Goku look really bad in multiple ways.
bgpeters22 or as explained, he didn't want to use up the small amount of time he had left.
1. Time. 2. He wanted to fight Vegeta on equal terms as a true warrior. This isn't a plot hole. This completely makes sense in the setting of the story
@@c_f0rce I didn't think Goku even knew that it would diminish his remaining time on Earth at this point.. I don't agree with the theory in the second point either.
@@c_f0rce Nah it’s a plot hole. Toriyama simply hadn’t come up with SS3 yet. That’s all
u r really into dragon ball z hahaha i like it 😂. greetings from argentina
3:40 "Ohhh Bitch slap?!" I was dying! lol!
Yes Goku was given 1 day on earth as a pass for being so good but the more energy he used the less time he'd have so he refused to use it in this fight for 2 reasons 1 to conserve energy and 2 to allow vegeta to keep his pride by giving him the fight he's always wanted.
Fun fact Curtis: Goku could've gone SSJ3 and end this in literally 5 secs but because he cares about Vegeta and knows that Vegeta is not actually a villian and that his pride is everything for him he didnt do that
@David Stephens how
Lmfao wtf you’re talking at that time SSJ3 wasn’t even a thing it came later and since you clearly haven’t watched the show let me explain for you.
The only reason that was made for Goku not going SSJ3 is so that he can have a longer time in earth. The fight is about them fighting to their full SSJ2 Power there is no pride of shit lol
The true reason why Goku didn't use ss3 was simply because Toriyama had not thought of it till now.
The story reason is that Goku didn't want to damage Vegeta's pride....
Vegeta & Goku Landscaping Co, for when you want 90% of your planets surface, resurfaced in under an hour.
You should watch mighty mask vs android 18 too! Or, Trunks and Goten vs android 18, it's a great fight!
Android 18 wants to win the tournament so she continues fighting there for the prize money while Vegeta, Goku, Gohan, and everyone go to deal with the new threat, majin buu. And Trunks and Goten get bored and take on the mighty mask alter ego so they can fight in the adults tournament lol
ALso, just Trunks vs Goten is a good fight too, in the kids tournament they they joined.
Did the kamehameha hand motion, please, during the gohan teaching goten and videl how to fly bit I would sit like videl with my hands like hers and try to manifest energy just to make sure it really wasn't going to work...
Oh yeah, Kamehameha, Final Flash, Burning Attack, Masenko, Special Beam Cannon, Destructo Disk, Tri Beam, Super Saiyan, I've tried it all at some point in my life lol
I've tried the kamehameha, special beam cannon, destructo disk, masenko, galic gun, death beam, final flash even solar flare. Only thing where I felt something was light grenade. Nothing happened but my hands got really hot then I lost concentration, it was weird.
Babadi has no control over vegeta but his spell is bringing out all of vegetas unfiltered rage and all of the evil in his heart
10:47
Burter: "Wait! IS HE SETTING UP THE--"
Jeice: *"PILEDRIVER! PILEDRIVER!!"*
I love the expression 3:49 😂😂
Yesssss He Has That Ability But For A Short Amount Of Time
Holy shit Goku sounded pissed when he punched Vegeta with the rocks
Hey spaz
another cool thing u should know is that saiyan halfbreeds potential is much greater than full bloods
A tired cat, that is a match for your speed
Vegeta took the Majin symbol on his head and allowed him to be possessed because he witnessed Goku's power and realized that he didn't match up, even after seven years of training. The Majin power unlocks a vast amount of energy, which is why Vegeta let himself be possessed, so he could match Goku in strength. It also made him more bloodthirsty but he was able to fight off Bobbidi's influence.
In the manga aka comic books, Goku explains to Vegeta that he wasn't trying to spare Vegeta's ego by holding back SSj3, but that SSj3 just burns up too much energy (it is a cool looking form but not at all practical) and it would eat up the time he could spend on earth as a result. He also knew Boo could be resurrected and wanted to save it for Boo, just in case. However, I am sure that a part of the reason Goku didn't just knock Vegeta to the floor with SSj3 is because Goku will purposely fight (this is a bad habit of his) at a lower strength if he is stronger than his opponent in order to have a good match. And yeah, it would destroy Vegeta's pride and probably break him if he saw that he allowed himself to be possessed and killed thousands of people for basically no reason. He spent his life enslaved by Freeza - he let it happen again just to get to Son Goku's level. If he found out there was no point to it, well, yeah. He'd be fucked in the head.
Curtis, at this point in time Goku was given 24 hours on earth(cuz he dead) to participate in the world tournament. He does have ssj3, but using it would eat up all his time left. Also "Bobitty" can only control someone with evil in their heart, Vegeta being the best option of the Z warriors but you saw how that worked out.
Vegeta gained new fighting technique about wrestling 🤣
Also Jimmy Cricket had no effect on Vegeta other than a small power boost
Vegeta had full control of his mind
Grant Schafer small? it gave him quite the boost lol
I don't think so, I think it was enough to matter but not altogether that much
Grant Schafer id say without that boost vegeta wouldve been 90% goku
Even if it was huge, I think Vegeta ('s SSJ 2) beat Goku at his best, at SSJ 2 that is, as much as I love Vegeta over Goku, Goku would have dominated Vegeta had if he was in SSJ 3. I'm glad he respectively chose not to use it.
You are correct that Goku withholds his SSJ3 power for this fight, and Vegeta finds out later, right before they fuse into Vegito.
Never done that, but I can honestly say that I have done both Kamehameha and Masenko poses.
Just mentioning this again, but there are two live action Dragon Ball Z shorts; "Dragon Ball Z: Light of Hope" and "Dragon Ball Z: The Fall of Men"
yes. for the sake of Vegeta's pride, Goku never transformed into a super saiyan 3. he made it a fair fight.
It's funny how you called that Piledriver an Atomic Piledriver. One of Majin Vegeta's ki blast moveset is the Atomic Blast.
it's vegeta, but his inner evil has been amplified as well
I remember me and my friends when we were kids would play dbz at the park and pretend we had those powers and would fight each other.
Babidi can influence minds and give commands, but here, Babidi magic is only boosting Vegeta's strength and stirring the darker parts of his heart, thus his willingness to slaughter innocents just to get Goku to transform and fight.
The full answer to the Super Saiyan 3 question is that he is capable of using it during this fight but holds back from using it for three reasons: 1) to spare Vegeta's pride, Vegeta threw away everything he cared about to get this power boost- trumping him immediately would've absolutely broken him. So, in a way, he was protecting Vegeta. Besides which, that would've robbed Goku of the chance to test Vegeta's power after all these years, which brings me to my next point: 2) Goku is someone who is only interested in fair fights, such as when he refused to continue the fight against Frieza when it became apparent that Frieza was no match for him. Ultimately, Goku is a saiyan and he cares about fighting more than almost anything else. But the last and most important reason: 3) the form would've drained his borrowed time on Earth.
Also, Toriyama hadn't thought of it yet.
Yeah, i was a weird little kid, dbz didnt help that lol. I did at one point try to conjure up something with my hands, even had a friend convinced he knew of people (lol) that knew the "secrets" and things in dbz were real.. boy what a time, but loved the show growing up.
yes It is true goku did have ssj3 unlocked and chose not to use it because he want vegeta not to feel bad
He was talking about the sync feature of his car. And then an ad popped up a few minutes later about that exact thing. Hmmmm...
React to the scene when vegeta finds out goku could go ssj3 but didn't during their fight
I've done the galic gun pose before lol
thats definitely all vegeta haha...all babidi's magic did was give a power boost now he is a ssj2 too
That is true he did have ssj3 but he did not want to reveal it to vegeta, but during this fight he and vegeta were ssj2
Yes, he did have SSJ 3, and Vegeta hated him so much for it when he found out
Fight Yamcha, sure he can use ki, but I mean! He's Yamcha, even Mr. Satan has a chance against him! LOL
Buu saga was peak Dragonball for me. Even through super and GT, this was the best it got. Battle of Gods was my 2nd best, but the last it was amazing
R.I.P all nearby wildlife.
Toriyama is a big fan of old school martial arts movies and even had Goku wreck Bruce Lee as a kid. You definitely see that when actual hand to hand combat is involved
Yamcha. Fight Yamcha. You're good there because he always looses.
one that I'd loooove to see your reaction to is gokus super saiyan god transformation and fight against beerus the god of destruction from dragonball super
I did the kamehameha hands 2 times during this video 😂
Also Vegeta is in control but his anger and evil was awakened. So it's him but not in his right mind.
Goku didnt use ssj3 cuz Vegeta will be all lik "oh but my pride".
I did it too Curtis the vegeta handsign all I got out of it was my expectations not failing me
The funny thing is Goku couldve gone SSJ3 and beaten Vegeta to a pulp at anytime here.
And I don't believe Jimini Cricket has much influence on Vegeta right now. His mind control increased Vegeta's power to rival Goku's more (Vegeta baited Jimini Cricket and let himself be controlled on purpose). Otherwise the mind control may be making him more aggressive since it's Vegeta's dark heart that is being controlled, but I don't think he's been given orders to follow.
He had ssj3 but didn't use it and vegeta finds out after the fight and gets mad
I think Vegeta ('s SSJ 2) beat Goku at his best, at SSJ 2 that is, as much as I love Vegeta over Goku, Goku would have dominated Vegeta had if he was in SSJ 3. I'm glad he respectively chose not to use it. And "Jimmy Cricket" did not have control over Vegeta, only gave him a small boost of power. Vegeta knew that but mostly did so Goku would have a reason to fight him as a true enemy, on top of killing those poeple which Vegeta did on his own accord but Jimminy encouraged it and approved of that.
Giga Phoenix Goku's ssj2 was also stronger. The power boost is what made Vegeta powerful enough to take him on.
Goku was Holding back in this fight
Did the Kamehameha once.... Blew up the city I use to live in. Didn't want to use it after that ever again. #ShamefullyPowerful
we've all tried the Kamehameha
I honestly don't know, it's just a theory I have, but I like to believe Goku was holding back from using Super Saiyan 3. After all, he told Buu and Babidi that he hadn't had a lot of practice with the form, implying that he has achieved SSJ3 before. But like I said, that's my theory and I'm not sure of any actual confirmation.
this is peter griffen vs chicken man on steroids
Please react to ssj3 goku vs beerus battle of gods
Not_Ur_Momz Hell Yes
yes, its true, Goku did have the ability to turn ssj3
Remember when you see electricity around there aura its SSJ2
Yes, Goku could've gone ssj3 but he didnt want to because he didnt want to hurt Vegeta's pride but more IMPORTANTLY, the more energy he used, the less time he had on Earth
he did have super sayan 3 but chose not to use it to save vegeta's pride
Yes Goku did have the ability to transform into Ssj3 during this battle but he knew how much it would destroy Vegeta's pride. Also turning into Ssj3 during this time would've led him to the afterlife sooner
When goku was standing in the cave he was searching for his power level of u didn't catch that
Please react to Goku vs Chi Chi
I really want to see a video of Curtis wrestling matches now
He Did Have SSJ3 But He Kept It Hidden From Vegeta Because He Wanted Him To Think He Could Beat Him
I feel bad for him getting punched younger
Goku had ssj3 at the moment but he did not use it because he's Goku. He always holds back so ya
Also, vegeta did not gain a power boost from being majin. He just gained to ability to not care about anything. All of vegeta's mind is evil thoughts
pizza man9000 No, there is also a power boost. That is why Spopovich was so strong. The main purpose is bringing forth evil but it does give you extra power as well.
pizza man9000 he didn't use it because it would have taken too much out of his physic energy the energy he needed to stay on earth
pizza man9000 Vegeta wouldn't let Goku transform
I will continue to try and do the Kamehameha until I get it down
You should do some Bleach or Naruto reaction videos they have some pretty epic fights.
you have to think of vegeta as a victim of freeza. most of his pride is his foundation he lives on after being forced to live under the rule of the man who killed his father his race. vegetas pride was all he had, its like the wall he built to keep himself from being devoured by the black dog within him. The black dog is a depression reference. theres tons of psychology that can actually be applied in the show. even the abridged keeps to that nature of playing off of each individual persons mental scars and issues.
