Dade I buy a 110cc Chinese 4 wheeler. And it didn't run bad wiring and I watch ur video and I don't know shit about rewire 4 wheeler or bike . I did what u say on ur video and man it take me 15 minutes to strip everything down on a Wire and I rewire from scratch like you did and I put a kill switch and starter button on it and the damn thing fired up. Thanks u keep up the good job .

Man why didn't I find your video first...grrrr. This ATV of mine ran when I parked it. Cleaned it up and then no spark. I already bought a new coil and it still didn't work. I had to remove the plastics again to get to the other connections under the fuel tank. Finally I have spark again...Thanks to your video

@@mikesgarage9757 I used this guide today and it was perfect for what I needed. Where you have installed your "on" switch in the box, this is where we would wire in a momentary switch to get the bike started correct? Once the bike has started and the button is released, the starter will disengage and the bike will stay running until the kill switch is pressed using the center connector on the CDI plug. I want to make sure I don't keep the starter engaged and burn it up. Thank you man for the help.

the only part im stuck on is how he wired the switch that is between the poles. he said there is no magic there but i honestly know nothing bout quads or electrical wiring. can anyone help me out

Man I'm not a video person myself and I have seen plenty of them but let me tell you you are the only person that really breaks it down the way it's supposed to be done I hope to see more of your videos and on top of that I have a situation with a moped that I cannot get no fire to and when I do it dies I don't know if it's the wiring I just don't know I've tried it all my friend
This is an AC cdi circuit.
With a DC cdi circuit you need a 12v input (not the red and black wire).
If you hook up a DC cdi this way, you will fry the cdi box.
True, but this is for a Chinese ATV not a GY6. I have yet to see one different. not that they are not out there.
I am trying to get spark on a Chinese go-kart. I put the kit in it that has the new cdi, regulator, coil, and solenoid. I can get it to turn over but no spark. Every time I connect the hot wire back up it chirps loud two quick chirps. I have found the remote kill box and should be able to just unplug it to get spark. But still no spark. The neighbor owns it and list the fob. I sure would appreciate your input.

Good vid but....which bottom position to attach ground off switch? It looked like you were pointing to bottom right, stator black/red wire
Bottom center there is no wire in mine. just run it to a switch then ground.

I'm gonna go try it see if that works now if I do that and still no spark how will I know if it's the cdi coil or stator and what about the rectifier isn't it supposed to be in there somewhere please you have other videos on these
You would need to ohm out the stator. I'm sorry I don't have the values of what they should be. The Voltage regulator is for charging. You don't need it to run. I don't have any more Videos but I am planning on making some. Life has been crazy. Thanks for the comment
Hey Bud! Thanks a ton! Mine came to me just plain roached from a scrap cleanout. Looked complete though so I had to try. My CDI is a little different than the one in your vid but between You and a schematic, kind of splitting the difference, I got it sparking and running. Does that kill switch ground the ignition like an old magneto lawnmower engine, or does it kill the power to the coil?

I Tao Tao 125 for free from a friend of mine for my son. I had it running good. Now no spark new harness cid box coil and i am still get no spark at the plug. suggestion?

I am installing a remote start on a 125cc.
I have got it to crank with the remote but won’t fire. If I put the hot wire on the top right, it should get spark right? I put this Wire on the accessory wire of the key switch, I get power to lights but will not make spark. I have put this wire on every wire on the the key switch harness with no luck.

Saihisday Dual Remote Control Start Kill Switch For Chinese 55cc-125c Taotao Kazuma Roketa Sunl ATV www.amazon.com/dp/B078GGXK2G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_bXJZFbDJSH81S. This has the same wiring as you described in the video. I hope I have gave you enough info. Thanks

Good video . But what are the normal voltage outputs from the stator to the ignion box and from the box to the coil ?
So the system can be tested for what component failed .
I have not done those tests, so I would not know. Sorry I cant be more help.
Mike I know this video is old but I need your help I’ve asked atleast 20 people and no one know how to help but I can’t find my exact part mine has 3 wires plus the one for the sensor but when I look up the part I can’t find any except a 3 wire plus 2 wires I could really use your help I tried wiring your system up wire from wire but my magneto doesn’t have the same wires I wired each of the 3 up after figuring out which one ran the sensor but out of the 3 wires I tested all 3 with no clue which one to start with and still no luck

@@ballzmahonee5645 I had a yamaha banshee that had no kill switch. I had the throttle get stuck wide open and I didn't wanna blow the clutch if I pulled it so that's when I learned the trick
My stator have 2 x yellow, blue and white and the green wire. How do i connect them my cdi have 4 pins. There is no black and red wire

Hey man great breakdown but how is going to help me figure out why I have no spark? Can you help me troubleshoot? New harness and did some welding on my frame but disconnected everything and removed stator. Any ideas?
CDI? did you disconnect grounds when welding?
The one I was working on would start up and lose spark shortly after, I unplugged the remote start and now it stays running.

Hey I have a eton 150cc and I cant get spark on it. I have a question, does the neutral safety switch and all play a role in getting spark? As mine has a PTC and a neutral safety switch but cant figure out how to wire up either

I have two boxes which one do I know is the CDI box the one under the gas tank or behind the gas tank
The plastic box is the CDI the metal one with heat sync is the voltage regulator for your lights

Hello if you would lead me in the right direction. I was given a Chinese 4 wheeler kid's version. Wiring is toast. With the way you are wiring just to see if this thing will fire or at least get a spark .What wire do I use for a turn on switch. . I'm not a mechanical engineer or a electrition. Just trying to find out if I should junk it or get it fixed for the kids. . Don't want to invest unless it's worth it.
Just a push button. You can get a kit for them cheap on Ebay. These engines hold up well. its the bike that falls apart around them

Awesome, its been in garage for 3 years the girls i got it for are into boys now so i guess its mine. That got the spark going, buuuut its makeing a popping sound just when its trying to fire. Any idea what that might be?
Sounds like a stuck valve, or maybe it jumped time a bit? hard to say. shut the gas off and put a little fuel in the spark plug hole and try it. if it fires off you may just have a fuel/carb issue. sorry for the late reply.

Long shot buddy but I done this and still no spark but when I out the full loom in and toggle the kill switch I get random sparks but only when toggled fast. Any ideas ???

I took the wiring harness and engine off a 200cc enduro motorcycle how can I go about bypassing the key ignition wires basically I'm tryin to figure out how to make a wiring harness out of the old harness that came off the bike it ran before I took it off but I cant get starter to crank and cant use kick start. Reason why I cant use kick start is because i swapped it on my 1985 Honda atc 185s and kick start cant travel far enough.
I am not familiar with that system. I assume you would connect the wire that pass power.
Hi. I have a 50cc Chinese atv it sat for 3 years I replaced battery and no lights, no nothing. I was told to change the fuse. I have no idea where the fuse is located on one of these. Can anyone advise? Thanks!
Usually its on the Red wire coming from the batt.

Thanks for the Comment. I think one Side is for the Light and the other is for Safety Start. Where the lever has to be pulled in to start the bike.

Came to this video looking for ideas and help with my TaoTao 110cc atv that was supposed to be my niece's Christmas present but hasn't run since Dec 24. The tip about the kill switch was great. I saw on another site where they talked about the black and white wire being the kill switch and to eliminate that from the CDI connector to see if it's a kill switch that is stuck open.
Just curious but are these pretty simple to wire? I can crimp connectors and shrink heat shrink but never wired anything this big myself.
Sorry for the late reply. You can do it with crimps. just cover them well with decent grade electrical tape.

Green are always grounds on Atv/Dirt bike/scooter/Moto

hi mike my 125 runs but cuts after 10 seconds i pulled the plug and sometimes theres no spark for like a minute of turning then it comes back then cuts again i removed the kill switch thers no short nothing

@@justinc9911 Maybe bad Coil or Even Plug.
Good video and theory to create spark. However, I believe you should also show the viewers where to ground the stator itself because you only showed how to ground the spark plug coil and cdi box. Otherwise, this method works because I tried it before I even saw this video and the quad started and I rode it down the street & then the stator exploded.
I got a little Chinese 86cm quad I'm getting no spark .I found a little round key hanging on the bike . I think it is a safety key but I can't find where to plug it in at . Does any body have a clue where it goes.
The middle wire at the top of the CDI is usually what its tied into. if the plug is off it will kill the bike its a safty plug that ties to you in case you fall off
I bought all new parts and still no fire i got new stator and pickup coil and new cdi and new coil and also hooked it up just like u showed and still want fire

Voltage Regulator is for Lights and Charging only.
