      Can i get the 125 cc cylinder kit from same supplier ? I got a 125 engine thats locked up and would like to rebuild it and swap it out for my 110 . Any help would be great , and keep up the great vids , i know alot of people put down the china atv but they seem to forget the motors are honda clones and honda has been doing it right for a long time this is why the motors are used in the china buggies as well as atvs , sure the chassy parts can be crap but if you take care of the motors they can last a long time ..

    I’m working on a Tao Tao 110 and was wondering how do you connect the front brake lines to the actual front brake on the bars one has two little spike things sticking out and the other has two female ends but they don’t fit I think I might have ordered it wrong. And for your rear brakes do you replace them or try to fix I’m trying to fix because they r in pretty good shape, but they just not working like there not stopping wondering if u have any tips

      Have you checked the brake fluid and bled any air out of the line?

    • @PraskaBoysGarage
      @PraskaBoysGarage  4 года назад +1

      In this build I am completely replacing the rear breaks with a complete disk brake kit that's already filled with fluid. However it is cheaper to fix the brakes you have and I agree with Max. Check your fluid, might require the brakes to be bleed again. If you can shoot me an email with pictures of the front brakes. Id be happy to take a look at it.

    God bless bro! There is not alot of videos and manuals on these engines. I attempted to open one up and figure out why it would pop out of gear. A r-n-d 125cc which I believe is very similar? Well the engines were cheaper back in 2015 so after a month of the engine just in parts on my work bench, I opted to buy a new engine instead since the rebuild kit/ gaskets were half the price of the new engine. I went to a 3 speed semiautomatic with reverse. Now years later I have 6 atvs. For the family to ride around our property. On the 3 speed, I have 2 atvs that will pop out of 2nd gear randomly. Do you have a clue what this might be? Any info would be greatly appreciated..

    Did you hone the cylinder? and is there a specific way the rings should fit on the piston? Does it matter?
    I followed this video while doing mine and for some reason my compression afterwards is like 50, it was 40 =/.
    Put new piston, and rings in the old cylinder, cleaned and reused the head, pulled it apart cleaned and re lapped values, set clearances to .005 and .007, timing on TDC and in line with the notch. Honestly im wondering if my compression checker is bad even its brand new... the bike feels way better than it did before the rebuild and stays running and idles great, it does smoke a bit when i first start it up however and it kinda smells like oil which is why i think the piston may have been done incorrectly. Thanks for sharing this awesome content. Was very helpful

    • @PraskaBoysGarage
      @PraskaBoysGarage  2 года назад +1

      To be honest most of the time I talk to people about this issue after they rebuild is a bad compression tester from harbor freight! Try looking up the ring order for a good picture but here is what you put in starting top to bottom: Compression Ring, Wiper Ring (this ring will have an angled edge that needs to be facing towards the bottom end), oil rings.

      @@PraskaBoysGarage No real difference. #75 main jet and the needle is in the third position from the top. All is stock minus the New Racing CDI box ignition coil, plug and cone air filter. Carb too small?

    I think I saw the valve impact mark on the piston when you put it up to the camera.

    • @PraskaBoysGarage
      @PraskaBoysGarage  4 года назад

      You are correct. Also you can see it on the valve as well. My guess is while that valve was stuck open and I was checking compression it was slapping. Now that the motor is timed properly and the new valves are seated everything is all good! Good catch!

    Would you please share more of your wisdom...I went with Valvoline 10W-40 Full Synthetic. Got it running Tao Tao 125 cc Jeep go kart Automatic with reverse now experiencing high idle in neutral and I would say regular idle in gear. All parts are new. My. prayers 🙏 are keeping my sanity.🇨🇱🇨🇱😃 THANK YOU.

      Hey Antonio! Those little Jeep go karts are awesome! We owned one for a few years and loved it! High Idle can be adjusted with your idle screw on the carb. Turn the idle screw counter clockwise and that should lower it. If it does not go down you might have a kink in your throttle cable line.

  • @myrealtorandy

    Awesome video! Not sure if my kids' go kart needs a rebuild or what. It runs fine for a couple miles then quickly loses power then shuts off. It would not start back up until the engine cools down completely. Any ideas?

    • @PraskaBoysGarage
      @PraskaBoysGarage  2 года назад

      Thanks! Might not be your engine but more likely a fuel or air flow problem. I would make sure your air filter is clean, fuels lines and filter are clean, and that you have good fuel flow to the carb.

    Where are these specs? I've been tasked to get one running. Changed starter, simi tuned the new carb but found oil dripping from between the case halfs. So I need to see a tear down of the case.

    Thanks for the videos- new subscriber. I’ve owned and repaired GY6 150cc’s but I am struggling with a 2015 Coolster 125cc Gokart (6125). Typically I just download a parts diagram and engine service manual then make my way through it. I have scoured the web with no luck and even spoke to Coolster who claims they don’t even have a parts diagram for it WTH? If you or any subscribers have any resources or can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. So many questions and no way to find the answers. Your video has been the most helpful.

    Gday mate I'm restoring a quad bike and I'm currently working on the engine. There's a lot of sand inside of it as the carbi, intake manifold and other pieces were missing. Anyway I was wondering what you used to clean the sludge out of the bottom. And what would you recommend I use to clean the engine out

    • @PraskaBoysGarage
      @PraskaBoysGarage  3 года назад

      When spraying it out I just use regular carb cleaner. If your not splitting the case I use diesel fuel to flush out the rest.
