A couple of thoughts: I think Sam has caused the blackouts, somehow, but I am probably wrong. Also, I am getting definite Sam Winchester (of Supernatural) vibes from Sam’s character. He looks very similar, and has the same personality that SW did in the early seasons, when he had his demon powers. Not surprising, I guess, with Eric Kripke being involved in the show. We have already seen the actors who played Dean and Bobby… :) I love that Cricket went all “Giant-Man”. I was wondering if this would happen. I don’t want to be the one cleaning up the puke when she shrinks, though. If she doesn’t eat, I wonder if she will shrink over time? I think it is implied in the episode with her mother? I don’t think Jordan works for the Woods. Likely she is exactly who she appears to be. At least, I hope so. Cheers,

But Luke did not see to remember ... And also the part where she literally says it out loud to everyone's face that she can make you do anything she wants ...is already suspicious cious
Nerd point. Kate actually is in the Performing Arts program -During Tek Knight's interogation it's discussed how she transferred from Crime Fighting to be Golden Boy's manager.
The Boys > Gen V Sorry but I can't vibe with the way this spin-off is written, it's just so superficial; like someone who didn't really get The Boys trying to write for that show. It feels like these writers are just overusing graphic or explicit scenes and curses every five seconds, because they think that's all that The Boys is: just a gory sweary superhero show. But it isn't, it's always been a show with more to say, and there's really not as much substance to Gen V so far. I think intentionally making the mechanics of Marie's and Emma's powers reliant self-harm and purging is also in extremely poor taste. It just feels like an excuse for the show to have more edgy, graphic and unsettling moments. But what that does is actively cheapens and trivialises just how serious self-harming and eating disorders are, as well as potentially alienating people who have their own experiences with those issues in their own lives. Gen V is like The Boys in only the most surface-level ways.
The hole in the crotch of polarity’s statue was there from the previous episode. That is where golden boy hid the cellphone that they watched his after I die here moves the plot along video. Also I don’t think it was inanimate objects that turned on tek knight. It was the holes. He got flustered talking about penetrating deep the 🕳️ mystery behind what happened. Everything he talked about was about related to holes. The last moment he saw a tree with a hole & cut the ending short. Plus it is the boys…. So you are preprogrammed to think of perverted fetishes. Lastly, cricket or Emma is jacked. The actress playing her is jacked. I couldn’t help notice that she looks super strong & is likely going to be like an antman type character who is actually a superhero. I am really impressed with her physique.
I think the show will have Tek Knight armored up eventually but that will probably be the only Ironman reference considering they wanted to lean more on the Batman detective side.
I also made the Black Noir/ Sam connection but am now on the theory if Sam is the one to fight Homelander in the end? or that there is still a second Homelander like in the comic?
It wasn't just a second Homelander, it was black Noir... I don;t know if they would change it up enough to keep black noir, but have someone else be the homelander clone. Just seems like a lot of unnecessary rewriting
Black Noir in the comics was a Homlander clone. so when I say a second Homelander I mean a clone like Sam that can fight homelander before Billy deals the final blow@@HicSvntDracones
@@jermaineabrahams2483 I know, just saying that since they went with an entirely different story for black noir, I don't think they are still going to go the clone route. If they wanted t go with a clone story, it would have been easier to just keep Black Noir as a clone. One reason they tend to change the outcomes in live action is to make the story enjoyable for people that are familiar with the comics, books, game, etc. That way people don't know what is going to happen, doesn't work for all fans, but this is why I don't think they are going to go with that story at all, they changed up Noir enough to make the ending unknown for comic readers, so I feel they are going to go an entirely different route.
I have a feeling black noir is dead, at least the original one we see up to season 3. Would create room in the story for Vaught to have a need to replace noir with a home lander clone that just goes batshit.
@@mersongrim Yeah, Black Noir is very much dead... you don't come back from that, which is why I don;t think they are doing the clone thing, it would require making another character the clone, just too much changing the story to end up going back to the original story.
Cate is 100% In on it. Her and golden boy were in the woods 3 years prior to the current story and but before he died golden boy was seeing those Visions of Sam in the woods wondering what it meant?? Yea no cate has way more to do with it than she's let on. She erased golden boys memory and she was the only one at the house in the end of the last episode with memory editing abilities
Marie hooking up with Jordan makes no sense whatsoever. Putting those two characters together is less plausible than putting Spock & Uhura together in the Kelvinverse.
I love ya Screencrush but the first two minutes of this breakdown video was full of so many reaches that I just had to leave a comment as it was making me want to switch off. No need to reach for external "references" like the fight club one when there are so many obvious internal and external references to expand on
Tek Knight. In Batman, Ra's Al Ghul refers to him as "Detective" (well, in the Animated series. I dunno about the actual comics). Batman IS the ultimate detective, flagship character from Detective Comics, hence, DC. "Tec" is a shortening for Detective. Batman is The Dark Knight. Thus, we arrive at, "Tek Knight".
I would've thought from the way the show is framing it that Tek Knight is a parody of the Dark Knight? Specifically the Nolan/Bale version since the movie title mentioned is "The Tek Knight Rises." The actor looks a lot more like Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne than RDJ as Iron Man. And his ability to read minute body signals ie Sherlock is a reference to Batman also being known as the World's greatest detective.
I'm betting That Four Letter Word is a reference to the film-within-a-film See You Next Tuesday from An American Werewolf in London, aka Billy Butcher's favorite word.
I also like how there's a Vought Kids network (where the Avenue V puppet show was from) just like most modern media companies have, to start building the brand early.
I just have to say , there rather be people like Tek Knight having proclivity of man-made objects than abusing human beings ....which I realise he does anyway not sexually but with emotions. God this world is messed up
Everyone online is saying that Rufus used his powers to knock her out, but i don’t think that. Is Rufus a creep 100%, I think once she pasted out he thought he could take advantage of the number 2 in the school, but I don’t think used his powers to knock her out. When he said “ wait it’s not what you think” yes he’s still a creep but like most of the Homelander fans he doesn’t seem like he think everything through. I think the chips in their shoulders have something to do with it and when the school noticed her a king question they shut her down. but long explanation short, I don’t think Rufus used his powers on Marrie I think the school did it.
Poor doug. He works his ass off right now to sell merch. But yeah, I really love how this the show explores how college students really are, as opposed to what the suits think they are. I was expecting the show to crazier, to the point that they couldn’t even show it on Amazon Prime. But these people are way more levelheaded than the adults in The Boys! I expected another Homelander, which sorta happened. But it was one of his supporters. And yeah, that didn’t end well for him.
What I like most about the Tek Knight adaptation is that it is in itself a meta joke; we expected an Iron Man RDJ parody, but instead we got a guy with the abilities from the RDJ movie Sherlock Holmes.
I think Kate is the double agent😬 she already knew about Sam and hasn’t said anything about it. Plus she keeps discouraging Andre from looking into it. A part of me thinks she’s more powerful than everyone thinks
I think you've missed the irony of holding up the girl's ED storyline while taking a swipe at a woman's "fake and manipulative" emotions in real life. You are not the good guy in this story dude. Do better.
One small detail that nobody seems to have mentioned is that Jordan Li's necklace is one half a string of pearls and one half a designer chain. Obviously reflecting their bi-gender.
I feel something more sinister is going on with Sam the way he’s talking to himself I don’t think he is talking to himself I think Sam might be a 2 in 1 situation where it’s Sam and another more violent and destructive supe inhabiting his body like a vessel and if they go with this direction I think that might be the real main villain of the show.
Has to be cate? I think she killed golden boy? Like when she controlled that guy to hit himself in the balls? She controlled him to so what he did. I think she’s the secret big bad of the season. It would also explain why golden boy told him he loved him? Because cate loved him
They also point out that her major is 'hero management', which for Vought isn't just booking talk show appearances, it's damage control, and in Cate's case, even mind control.
.. doesn’t surface tension have to do with the surface of liquids ? I thought that insects did’t sink when falling large distances because they don’t weigh (low mass vs air resistance) much so when falling the air slows them down (like when a feather falls)🤔 I could be wrong 🤷🏽♂️
i think it couldbe very posible that cate is behind the blackout. when she refused to take luke's pain away id say it was probably because she didnt want to potentially affect or fuck up the editing of memories altered about sams faked death. he went crazy because (either sam hassome sort of mental powers too, hence why he was hearing sam call out to him) or the mind altering cate or somebody did was wearing off and luke started to remember what really happened to sam. i find it doubtful that the school would allow anyone attending the school to know anything to know about the woods. a side note is the school having people powered like cate and rufus would be such a risk to the faculty/vought hiding secrets. students like that have got to be working with vought, theres no way the woods are just being found out about now. that being said, either she doesnt have enough power to step in and steer the entire group away from the woods... orrrr shes not actually involved.
I honestly think it had something to do with Kate. She knew about the woods and still hasn't mentioned that to Marie or Jordan. Plus Sam recognized her and told her to keep her hands off of him when they walked in, which would have exposed her to the group
There hasn't been indication that she knew about the woods, only that she knew Sam. The facility in the flashback where she put him to sleep with Luke There was Sage Grove. It was not at the woods under GodU.
Jordan being a double agent is plausible. Herms sudden attraction towards Marie kind of just came out of nowhere. Making me think something was a tad fishy. Could just me overthinking it though.

He looks very similar, and has the same personality that SW did in the early seasons, when he had his demon powers. Not surprising, I guess, with Eric Kripke being involved in the show. We have already seen the actors who played Dean and Bobby… :)
I love that Cricket went all “Giant-Man”.
Cheers,
I think the villain is cate. She can reset people's mind
Don’t think I’ve seen this many 🐓s or🍆s in a first season since Game of Thrones!😱
Jordan hit that Hadouken!!!!
I feel Cate was the one that brainwashed them and sent them back to sleep, cos Sam ratted her out and Andre was confused also we saw fro.a throwback that she and Luke went to see Sam before... But Luke did not see to remember ... And also the part where she literally says it out loud to everyone's face that she can make you do anything she wants ...is already suspicious cious
Great episode!!! "Double agent" lol I see what you did there
There is a possibility Jordan will pull a Top 10 Anime betrayals only for their ranking to go Number 1 for a selfish desire.
Yeah he's kinda like A-Train, selfish & narcissistic
@@panzequest-1226 its they/them pronouns
Doesn’t Sam have mental prowess? Isn’t that how he contacted golden boy?
Thank you so much for this break down ! My nerd heart pumps !
Im hoping homelander comes in and starts killing everybody, like the earth Vader scene from rogue one
Nerd point. Kate actually is in the Performing Arts program -During Tek Knight's interogation it's discussed how she transferred from Crime Fighting to be Golden Boy's manager.
I believe Cate w her powers is the true villain behind much of the show’s problems
The Boys > Gen V
Sorry but I can't vibe with the way this spin-off is written, it's just so superficial; like someone who didn't really get The Boys trying to write for that show.
I think The Deep's talking gills are a reference to all the talking orifices (sp?) in Naked Lunch. Maybe 🤷♀️
I also feel like Marie might be someone who can take the powers from people with powers through their blood
Geez... Now I want a Tek knight spinoff
Small typo, at 4:08 you said, "Emma and Luke" I think you meant "Emma and Sam". Love your videos and the speed at which you pop them out, thank you.
The ending song is “Work It,” not Gotta Work.
The gal with the gloves should get some gloves that have retractable fingers so she doesn’t have to take them off
Sams hallucinations felt a little like Bray Wyatts family fun house.
Where was the "your mother" reference?
Marie hooking up with Jordan makes no sense whatsoever. Putting those two characters together is less plausible than putting Spock & Uhura together in the Kelvinverse.
I thought Tek Knights power's was a parody of Sherlock Holmes, specially the Benedict Cumberbatch version.
I love ya Screencrush but the first two minutes of this breakdown video was full of so many reaches that I just had to leave a comment as it was making me want to switch off. No need to reach for external "references" like the fight club one when there are so many obvious internal and external references to expand on
Very simple explanation for the ending - Thanos snapped his fingers
You are a a savant of .......( I think I know what that word means) clips friend...... Love your vids.....cheers
Vought+ was parody of Disney+
Do you just watch all the best shows? Your content is awesome man 🍻
I think you've missed the irony of holding up the girl's ED storyline while taking a swipe at a woman's "fake and manipulative" emotions in real life. You are not the good guy in this story dude. Do better.
Rufus/Jack =Supernatural 😅
One small detail that nobody seems to have mentioned is that Jordan Li's necklace is one half a string of pearls and one half a designer chain. Obviously reflecting their bi-gender.
*DID not schizophrenia btw for fight club but just for reference bc it's different dx and many misunderstand the difference
Nerd point. In the comics, Tek Knight was not a Supe he was just a billionaire amalgamation of Iron Man and Batman.
10:57 Oh , how innocent and blind we were, poor Hughie, but it's so funny for me now while rewatching your breakdowns after season 4
ants dont survive falls because of surface tension lmao. Theyre just so small they physically cant fall fast enough to die from gravity alone.
I gotta say,the Jumanji part came unexpectedly...I love this Show😂
I feel something more sinister is going on with Sam the way he’s talking to himself I don’t think he is talking to himself I think Sam might be a 2 in 1 situation where it’s Sam and another more violent and destructive supe inhabiting his body like a vessel and if they go with this direction I think that might be the real main villain of the show.
Did anyone notice that the guy who plays Technight is also the guy who plays Wolf in future, man.
Am I the only one who thinks that the name "Gen V" is a play on words for the name given to the current generation ""Gen Z"?
Fight Club is actually about a character with DID , not schizophrenia...
Could Polarity's damaged crotch be a reminder that supes shouldn't be able to reproduce?
Just binged watched all 4 episodes and already like this show so much more than Ahsoka.
I feel like the jordan and marie enemies to lovers ark was extremely forced and came out of nowhere. Is this just me?
That ending was so confusing. I watched it 3 times thinking there was something wrong with my stream and there was a segment missing from the stream.
My money is the dean's daughter using some type of mind wipe/control like Jason Stryker. She is more weapon then person now.
Ryan... why the Gill shaming?
You're better than that buddy!
.. doesn’t surface tension have to do with the surface of liquids ?
I thought that insects did’t sink when falling large distances because they don’t weigh (low mass vs air resistance) much so when falling the air slows them down (like when a feather falls)🤔
I could be wrong 🤷🏽♂️
i think it couldbe very posible that cate is behind the blackout. when she refused to take luke's pain away id say it was probably because she didnt want to potentially affect or fuck up the editing of memories altered about sams faked death. he went crazy because (either sam hassome sort of mental powers too, hence why he was hearing sam call out to him) or the mind altering cate or somebody did was wearing off and luke started to remember what really happened to sam. i find it doubtful that the school would allow anyone attending the school to know anything to know about the woods.
a side note is the school having people powered like cate and rufus would be such a risk to the faculty/vought hiding secrets. students like that have got to be working with vought, theres no way the woods are just being found out about now.
that being said, either she doesnt have enough power to step in and steer the entire group away from the woods... orrrr shes not actually involved.
@@dragonusa well that comment didn't age well
@@RationalCatholic yeah after ep 5 my statement is still true but a moot point lol.
Cate made golden boy snap and she’s working with folks behind the scenes that are at a higher level
Jordan being a double agent is plausible. Herms sudden attraction towards Marie kind of just came out of nowhere. Making me think something was a tad fishy. Could just me overthinking it though.
