Isn't that a massive step from a Prout (which you were keen on) to a Lagoon 440? Totally different boats at different ends of the price spectrum. It's like going to view an Opel Corsa one day and a Maserati the next. But all the best with the search and getting around the red tape.
Actually, the Lagoon 440 came first in real life. This video was recorded in March 2017. The prout came later when we realised a Lagoon would be hard to finance because of circumstances explained in the video.
Yes, it was a beautiful boat. It broke my heart I could not find a way to finance it temporary while the documents were going thru the system. Problem is that process can be done in 2 weeks, but it can also take 6 months or more!
They are not really expensive in my opinion compared to value for money. They are well built and if you want a deck saloon monohull you pay double for less. But then again - they are too expensive for me, right now...
Very nice episode. Way out of my price league but fun to watch. One point of criticism though: the volume of the music is way too loud compared to the rest of the video. It caused my neighbours to remind me they are there (which is why I'm looking for a boat :) )
The content was interesting but I thought the intro was a little too intrusive and I was not 'over keen' on the pulsating video images. I'd leave that for the Disco scene. Thanks for sharing
It's not meant as a complaint, just a comment. I know it's not easy producing these vlogs and very time consuming. It's good that you're willing to take 'feedback' on board. Thanks for your prompt reply.
Constructive criticism is always welcome. I am still learning and progressing so comments like these helps me along in the right direction. Also looking at my stats I see that most viewers (more than 70%) are male above 50 years old, and then I can surely understand that pulsating effects may be a downside. Question is what audience you are trying to reach? :)
I actually found a catamaran hull that I spent a few days thinking about, but I came to the conclusion that I don't know how, I have no place to build it, I don't have the tools, I was going sailing right now, I have nowhere to live while I build it, and in the end it will not save me much money compared to buying a 10 year old production cat that is more or less sail ready.
I think that is the correct choice in your situation. I am building a 40 foot cat and without any of the above you are correct in buying one. Good luck with your purchase . ruclips.net/channel/UCcJ-7wSvo6_BHsnbytM0jzgfeatured?view_as=subscriber
Yes, I was waiting for a comment on that :) I think you will find that I will try to make my videos appealing to a younger audience and even more effects will be used once I get the hang of it. Hopefully it will be balanced tho so there will be something for everyone. :)
That’s a great jacket my friend!

Hi, may I ask you the name of the greek surveyor? Thanks and fair winds!
William Walsh is his name. He’s a good guy. I’ve used hime while buying and selling. He is based out of Athens, but he travels too.
Lagoons are great boats. Expensive, but well built and very functional

SailMermaid Indeed. Good value for the money.
Hello !
How much they spent on a lagoon 440 surveyor ?
Oooh! I actually don’t remember to be honest. Maybe around a 1000 Euros plus hauling out.
What was the original asking price and how much was your offer?
Asking price was 240 and I offered 220 Euro
These videos are so cool, how old are you

Hahaha :) Ok, I will keep that in mind, thank you!

Thank you. The intro has been shortened by 2/3 in the later episodes as many people complained about it being to long.

Why don't you build your own Catamara, i'm 58 and start building the end of march

i do agree with you, at least you need a place to life.
Bouncing video on purpose is annoying.
