I hated the later seasons when she cuts her hair short and looked like she was switching teams and everything was ooooo poor me my husband does horrible things, he cheats on me and is in the mafia I want a divorce but I’m also a hypocrite since I stole money from him and cheated on him as well. Here she was strong, smart and cunning and knows the ins and outs of the mafia world but stood just outside pretending not to notice but tried to normalize it as much as she could

    To those who were asking about Junior knowing if Richie was died or not; though Junior says to Tony that Ritchie went into the program he “knows” Richie was whacked, after all he was the one who outed Richie to Tony. However, I’m the Mob when cover stories or “legends” are made to explain someone’s disappearance then you stick to them in open conversations. This one if the FBI has a wire recording you or someone overhears then the story helps establish your supposed ignorance of the persons fate, keeping law enforcement from being able to connect you to the crime.

    I know the capos set Junior up to be the boss while Tony was the secret shot called behind Junior’s back. However all that changed when Junior lost to Tony when the hit against Tony failed and Tony wiped out Junior’s men (not counting Bobby) and Gigi who defected to Tony’s crew by whacking Philly Parisi.
    After all that Tony let Junior keep the title of boss while Tony held all the power. However in this clip you hear Junior say “I’m the boss of this family, you forget”. But what I wanna know is why does Junior say that? I thought Junior holding the title was in name only and no power behind it.

    • @APOCALYPSE_X-MEN
      @APOCALYPSE_X-MEN 5 лет назад +7

      In a sense, they are both sharing power, though Tony is really running the day to day business. Junior is largely "ceremonial" I guess, though that may not be the right term here.

    • @alexkowalski8020
      @alexkowalski8020 5 лет назад +3

      Junior's flaw was always his pride. He refused to testify Tony was boss to the FBI when he was arrested because of it. It was always important to his self-esteem that he at least maintained the picture of the title. He never had the makings of a guy who could handle the fact that Tony stepped over his own uncle to grab the big seat.

    • @darth856
      @darth856 3 года назад +2

      I guess Junior tried to use his title to assert himself and the point he was making, even though he knows he is not in charge. Tony was quick to bite back though: "I'm on the street".

    • @JohnDoe-gc1kt
      @JohnDoe-gc1kt 4 года назад

      @Peter Davies I disagree there is a difference between preference and being racist. I have seen white and Asian families disown people for marrying outside of their race. Blacks and Hispanics might disagree but they will get over it. I have never met a black person who was disowned for marrying outside their race. If Tony was black he would have gotten over meadow marrying a white guy eventually. This is why whites are berated when it comes to interracial dating. Look at how he treated his own daughter. You can bring up double standards all you want but I assure you there's a difference.
