People are complaining that the game has too much content. But what they should be complaining about is that they want to complete everything. Even the stuff that they don’t enjoy. You can skip any of the stuff you don’t like but people just choose to do everything and ruin their own experience
Simply put, the best modern FF game I've played and probably mybest FF game ever along with the FF7 original. Love was put into this game and it shows. The characters come to life with the acting. Imagine if we would have gotten this as a movie back in the day, instead of Spirits Within. It also makes Avent Children look bad. This is how Final Fantasy games shouldbe done moving forward.
Side note: I've used Iron Defense as a way to pull Aerith out of the way of an enemy rushing her. Then when the enemy tracks her back to my location, I switch control to her then ward shift. All while Barret goes bang bang.
I’m throughly loving this game right now. The new reimagining of the story has grown on me as I played both games now. I can say as an original OG FF7 player, give these games a shot and keep an open mind. On a separate note. Triple Triad is still leagues above queens blade. 😃
I'm finding myself very intrigued by the story especially after finishing it. Seeing all the theories and speculations about this game is just something you cant get if they just did a one for one remake, and I'm someone who adores the OG to death.
I really enjoyed 16, and i'm looking forward to it's new DLC soon, but Rebirth clearly has better game design throughout the majority of the game in comparison.

I definitely agree with your opinion on the Cait Sith solo adventure. Perhaps having 1 or 2 puzzles peppered throughout the whole game like this would be okay; however, placing it where they did feels like being on an airplane thundering down the runway for takeoff, and at the last second, takeoff is aborted, and the flight is then delayed for an hour. That being said, I would have been happier if this part were just completely omitted.

Everything in the open world was intended to engage the player in some type of activity even if it was just climbing a tower, that led to more discoveries within the world map. I think the world itself is great design even if some activities can get repetitive, it's far from a bad open world game.

I kind of disagree on the bloat feeling refreshed or fun enough in each region. By the time I got to Costa Del Sol/Corel I was so over finding stupid towers and analysing crystals. I think they should enable a story focused mode where all the side content and mini games are off, their rewards are redistributed to chests and boss fight loot, and you can experience the game more like a serious story focused movie. Then on New Game+ it unlocks all that content for replay value.
I for one LOVE remakes that don't keep everything the same as the original game like what RE2 Remake did and now FF7 with Remake/Rebirth its the key difference between a remake and an HD remaster and what will make me interested in playing instead of just firing up the original with mods.

It all felt important and interesting. I am bummed to see some large content providers bash the game for having what amounts to higher value and time spent in world.
Yeah, this is honestly one of the better open-world games I've experienced. It's clear as soon as you're released into it, that the game never wants you to feel bored with content. All of it has meaning after completion and it never feels like time wasted; that to me is great design.
I dont know dude, the open world aspect with repititive sidequests, some of the minigames designed by people who hate you. But i cant stop playing this game, i havent made any music for 2 weeks. Great video! I agree with you across the board on the good and middling points. My one extra point is that Tifa's voice actor really shone for me this game. The diversity of circumstances and depth in exploring Tifa's psyche and her own understanding of herself are so powerfully done. While this game isn't making progress on Sephiroth, it really is the story of the characters getting to understand each other.
I like how they kept him to a minimum. People got upset about Remake doing story changes, such as "too much Sephiroth in the Midgar section of the game", so most people should be delighted at him being a more illusory background figure again. I see this remake trilogy as being very conscious that in the og, there simply wasn't alot to do in disc 3. They're going to make the 3rd part as epic a crescendo as they can.
I know everyone has their own view points. But i disagree with some of this. Nearing the end now. To me, some of the stuff is over done and drags. like doing the chadley stuff. At first it was cool, but doing it a 4th time sucked to me. And i think this game has way too many mini games. I would rather have them drop 70 percent or more and do whole story with one game. Some of it so far is really good but too often it gets bogged down with same stuff over and over
I do find that the mini games can be overdone, which I do say in the video. As for the Chadley intel missions, I can see why they would feel repetitive, and I certainly felt it setting in. For me, it was more so finding a balance of not doing all that side stuff at once, but I understand it's different for everyone.
I agree, I'm nearing the end, I've done minimal mini games and extra quests, my plan is to just complete it through the story, then go back to it and do as much as I can, I found Remake so repetitive, with too many padded out areas, but I think they've done a far greater job with rebirth, such a good game so far, with just a couple of odd boring moments.
as many people already said, Chadley stuff is for giving purpose to the open world.. I do think that somehow the open world becomes more detailed maybe compared to FF 15 which people said its open world is kinda empty.. while people also criticize FF 16 for being too linear and less open world exploration.. when talking about open world games, people starting to forget FF even tho the classic FF like OG 7, 8, 9, have the best open world in their era.. people even remember mobile games more than FF when talking about open world.. so I think the chadley stuff is necessary.. tho maybe it needs more variations, idk.. at first you said some stuff is over done, but later you also said too many mini games, while those many mini games were created to bring more variations so it doesnt feel repetitive, right? Yes, exactly! To me it really doesn’t matter where they take from, but building off what’s there and improving upon those systems more times than not will lead to a positive outcome. I don’t hate that Sqaure likes to experiment, but Rebirth has shown that it’s more than successful BECAUSE they’ve built off an already great foundation. Final Fantasy should adopt that idea more often.
@@MoreLimitless_ I’m sure they know that too, but Luminous studios threw a wrench in the gears because it was horrible for development and it made FFXV a nightmare to develop. It makes sense for them to have switched to unreal engine for Remake, but you can bet that the engine they created for FF16 will be continuously improved until they have their own version of Capcom’s excellent and proprietary RE engine.
The game was really good. But I'm so unhappy with some of SE's plot decisions, that I won't buy part 3 tho. Anyway, it would be still unfair for me to say, that this is not an amazingly designed game.
Just so everyone is aware, I didn't realize you could quit the tournament during the ferry section, so thank you for bringing that to light. However, I'm still going to say that while it was a fun section, I don't think It was a necessary one at all, at least for me personally.
You don't need to win the Queen's Blood tournament, you can just forfeit at the start and the game continues

Nooo, we need wayyy more padding! Ideally, FF7 should be 5% main story and 95% world of warcraft quests (kill 10 boars).

Absolutely! That whole sequence of events with Tifa was a great addition. Structurally, It really is just the OG but done on a much larger scale.
