From Auckland NZ. We fight in the rugby, but we love you with all our hearts Ireland!
Stand tall, stand strong, and never lose that fighting spirit!
The Irish is coming for that New Zealand ass in July… Better be ready…. One love!

The feeling is mutual my friend. 👍👍👍👍
Great rugby match today if you're Irish. But it goes to show if we beat the All Blacks then its a historic moment. We still remember when Munster beat the All Blacks in Thomand Park in Limerick. Goes to show that its really an honour to win against you guys. 👍👍👍. Gareth Davies once said that Rugby is played in really 3 places, New Zealand, Wales, and Thomand Park. 🇮🇪👍👍👍👍

Oh, I love Ireland. My mother was so patriotic that, when we came to the UK in 1960, she said she would never lose her Irish accent and she never did. I’ve lived in the uk since the age of seven, the uk saved my sight and educated me, gave me opportunities I might never have had in Ireland. However, my heart and emotions are in Ireland. I have many cousins and visit often. How blessed am I.

Really great!! Hi Helen, do you know where to get the lyrics for this song?

Love the Irish pride in their flag and anthem, beautiful.... We've got a few hundred thousand scallywags from Liverpool who could learn patriotism from the Irish!!!
I'm sure they're patriotic enough about Liverpool :p
@@cigh7445... Liverpool is not their country, Liverpool is their dump of a city!!!!
Being a port city a stones throw from Ireland, im sure a lot of the liverpool fans are of Irish descent who feel no allegiance to the national anthem
You can't force patriotism on a people who don't feel part of your country. Many Scousers have a closer affinity to Ireland than they do to the south of England. You also have to ask yourself why they boo. It is naive to say they are simply unpatriotic scallies....that's too easy a narrative that the UK's gutter journalists & politicians were desperately trying to push.
If you knew anything about Liverpool you'd know that a huge portion of Liverpudlians are of Irish stock and that is precisely why they are hostile to England.
Ireland's National Anthem is called the Soldier song for a reason.

My Family from Wicklow in 1735 edit (1835) was sent to New Zealand as prisoners for stealing sheep. We came back in 1850 ( edit part of my family stayed). Then when things got bad during the famine they came to the USA. I’m proud to have Irish blood in my veins. I am literally the only man in this world with my name… we were from small, poor working families.
Ireland is magical. The people, the culture (yes white people have culture) and the land! Never count an Irishman out!
I don't mean to be unkind but that would have been a neat trick as New Zealand was unknown and there were no settlements in Australia in 1735. The English transported us to the Caribbean and the American colonies as slaves. It wasn't until the loss of their prison colonies in the American Revolution that thay had to shop around to the Pacific for new prison destinations. I believe your dates are all wrong though your story may be correct.
By the way, an American of entirely Munster Irish ancestry from the traditional clans, as my name implies. I too have distant relatives in New Zealand from the mid 1800's. There were at least 100,000 MacCarthy worldwide the last time anyone did a count decades ago. Most of the surving old clans I'm descended from like O'Driscolls, Bradys, Riordans and O'Donovans have a fair amount of people with that name. They're all descended from common ancestors. My tribe, the Eoghacht, still exists after a fashion and so do the Milesians they stem from. I suggest you check out your family name, of you know the original Irish form. Surprisingly Wikipedia is a decent source of information on Irish clan histories if you search correctly. Lots of families adopted English names and the English language under the terrible pressures of the awful 1700's and 1800's. The Wicklow mountains, being so close to the source of English power in the old Dublin Pale, faced some of the worst pressure. My people in Cork and Kerry were more distant and had far fewer English amongst them (we had killed off many of the settlers before the final English victory in the mid 1690's) though they suffered greatly in the rebellions and the famines.
So, your family were there 30 years before James Cook? And they came back when Ireland was in the middle of a famine? It must be embarrassing to be descended from complete eejits.
@@brianmccarthy5557 the whole clan thing is manufactured nonsense for the tourists. There haven't been clans in Ireland since the early medieval period and we called them septs or lineages.
@@brianmccarthy5557 that is some great information and I thank you finding my mistake. I looked into it and I am wrong without biting you. I am related to Samuel Frickleton. I’m looking to see the other side of the family as we speak. I haven’t had to recall for decades. Forgive my excitement.
I can attest for sure that great Grandfather was born in Wicklow area. He always takes about it. He passed when I was five.
My family name is very rare. It was changed at some point due to running from Ireland at some point.
