I’m guessing these work in both versions of the game? Either that or I genuinely forgot how to tell Java and bedrock apart. Edit: ITS JAVA FOR ANYONE WONDERING, THE 10TH DOOR HE HOVERS OVER THE IRON SWORD WHILE INTERACTING WITH THE HOPPER AND THATS WHAT LET ME KNOW I’m surprised no one mentioned that odd shape behind door number 9-
redstone dust always connects to target blocks which allows for more compact builds! if you were to use any other block the dust wouldnt turn to the side and connect, meaning youd have to make things larger

So, I built my door just as you did in sample 4. My door goes back but wont pull to the side . Why ?
Try making sure your repeaters are facing the correct way, I had to tweak with mine a bit but got it to worl properly

I understand all of this redstone stuff except target blocks. Could someone explain please? It’s the only redstone concept I don’t get.

That 3rd door design doesn't work the sticky piston doesn't move the bottom block
