Since many are asking, YES, you can assign different color to each key individually! :) Just do this: FN+tilde(`), LEDs will blink, FN+right_arrow to set color, press the desired key(s), repeat or end with FN+tilde again. When you enter the customization mode set custom color to empty, so you can un-assign colors from keys by just pressing them. All of this can be done without software, however, with app you can have multiple profiles and customizations, with additional RGB colors. The app is very slim, only 5 MB download, less than 10 MB installed. Great product overall, many keyboards in this price range offer no single key customization, this one does.

So I learned that my K552-RGB has the individual key illumination mode, thanks to this video. I've watched numerous reviews on that keyboard, I've read the manual, and searched online for all the different settings/modes for it and never came across that one! A setting I never knew I wanted, yet already found to be very handy (now that I've just ordered the K580 to replace it, lol)
@@antunnovakovic8934 I absolutely love it and totally recommend it. I have the blue switches, which are PERFECT. Nice clicky sound with a kind of pop/snap feel to it. I use it mostly for typing as a programmer, but I also find it perfect for gaming. And you can't beat the price. By the way, I tried it with the browns and hated it-- way too squishy and no real tactile feedback. No pop or snap feel when pressed, just kind of a bump or almost as if the keys were sticky from soda or something. Felt terrible.

This keyboard comes with 2 versions. You can either get the one with the blue switches, or the brown switches one. This one seems to be the brown switches one.
This K580 is actually my first choice but more keys means better for me so I chose K550 YAMA....... K550 Yama ==== my first mechanical keyboard :D I fell in love with my keyboard than my girlfriend lol

Hear redragons key switches fail often from reviews all over is this still a common issue? Definitely something to be concerned about considering they use modified switches so you cant just buy replacements at all. Which would be a big bummer loving the look and functionality of this one and looking to get one or a k556
you did not mentioned if the keyboard retains its profile settings like the stetted RGB setting in its memory if the keyboard is plugged out and plugged in again?
I logged in to my account just to give u a like and a subscribe. I was hoping to see these two as well 1. easily macro configuration instead of writing c and java scripts every time, so i was hoping to see the software part 2. can the macro control mouse location and clicking
Honestly it depends on what type of switch you like, if want RGB, color and other things like that. I am not a huge gamer, but I do really like the K580. I would suggest to do some research on the different types of keys you're going to want.
@@OracleTalksTech I'm a computer programmer i'm french but use a normal english keyboard. I have only one complaint agaisnt this keyboard. There s no space between the function keys and the first row of qwerty. I had not noticed that and my big fingers are used to this normal space on the keyboard so I hit the upper functions many times. Do you have this promleb also ?? Actually this should be mentioned the future buyers. I did check for the other model 563 or something there i more space between both rows but all the top features are gone. They should have made the keyboard a little bigger not to be cramped like that. Otherwise very nice keyboard and feel and sound. The return key also for programmers is wide and big, not narrow .
Hello Oracle. Thanks for the great review. I have had this keyboard for almost a year and love it. There's just one thing I cannot figure out. Every time I shut down my PC, I lose my light settings. Not the Macros, just the settings on the keys. I Do you have any suggestions on what I need to do?
I sort of figured out that it is defaulting to the FPS setting from the software. I changed that option to customizable 1 and set my keys using the software. It seems to be working now.

After looking over the specs of the K550, no this one is not better in my opinion. It does not have USB pass through. As for the dust proof, it looks like the top plate is sealed.
If I set up a profile, and then I unplug the keyboard and take it to a different computer, will it remember my one profile upon plugging it into the new computer? (I realize switching profiles requires the software)

If you want to change the RGB colors with your computer yes otherwise you can just use the keys. However if you have a Mac I'm not sure if they have a software for it.
Hey can you tell me if this happening to your keyboard? You have to remove all the keycaps and be in a dark room to see this. ruclips.net/video/4Xkfla6EjmI/видео.html The keyboard's brightness is all the way off. Yet the entire first row lights up very faintly. You can see it only clearly in the dark and in dim light if you observe very carefully. And as you can see in the video, whenever i press the media keys, the LEDs in a few particular rows emit a week blue green color. The keyboard's functionality or the RGB effects have not been affected in any way. But this flickering always happens as long as the keyboard is connected and even when the RGB is all the way off.

Sorry, it controls the system volume by default and if press the first button by the media keys it then controls the brightness level of the keys.

I don't think so. I believe it saves the profiles to the computer.

I just looked over the software and it does not give you that option. And the keys on the keyboard do not either.
