My first time listening to BABYMETAL! Definitely a unique sound and vibe to this band! Like I said in the video, I was warned that this song might be a bit different than their typical sound? So let me know if I should stick another song in next week's poll that might represent them a little better? Or what else should I check out if you're not a BABYMETAL fan?? Keep the requests coming please!

This performance was from December 2013. The concert was the day after the lead singers 16th birthday, the other 2 girls were 14 at the time. The fan base is called The One.
They have a ton of awards from metal industry publications and have a lot of fans amongst metal bands/singers, including Rob Zombie, Rob Halford, Corey Taylor, Metallica, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Dragonforce, Bring Me the Horizon to name a few.
They are currently touring Europe with Sabaton.

    It never is... 😆
May I suggest "Headbanger" (Legend 1997 Apocalypse) or "Akatsuki" (Dark Night Carnival)!?
    Have fun...

Good suggestions, but I am always a fan of people getting to RoR early on in the foxhole journey in order to ground themselves in knowing the potential here..the live in japan version is one of the best live performances like...ever put on by a rock or metal group...legit. simply flawless for a live performance

    Gimme Chocolate:-
Old school Thrash Metal. Combinations of Metallica "Fight Fire With Fire" and Slayer "Raining Blood". Heaviest, Brutal song about Chocolate. React to the song on late night show with Stephen Colbert. Old school metalheads can appreciate the metal, younger audience can appreciate the J Pop with a very catchy chorus.

They are pop. They are metal. They mixed both together and made it work. Thats what the name says: BABYMETAL. Besides being a Japanese pun on "HEAVYMETAL" and stating nothing less than the birth of a new kind of metal.
Yeap, new. If you havent seen BABYMETAL then you havent seen anything like it. Because there is nothing else like it. Still, after a decade of international success.
Their whole concept and origin is unique in metal. They are a sing and dance ensemble for live shows in perfection. (And dancers usually don't play instruments, right? They have a backing band for that.)
Expectations don't work with BABYMETAL either. If you think you know what to expect for the next song from this one, you don't. Well, you can expect dancing of course. And chances are good for a smile :)

    Great first reaction 😁👍
Since you'll probably get flooded with info I'll just say this:
They don't have a 'usual' sound, they blend tons of different styles/genres so you really need to listen to more to understand this band! There are some songs that are really hard metal (f.e. 'Babymetal Death'), some are more pop ('Doki Doki Morning'), songs that are beautiful ballads ('No Rain no Rainbow'), more electronic songs (Metalizm), hip hop influences ('BxMxC'), different cultural influences ('Shanti Shanti Shanti') and a lot more!
Many people (me included) needed some time to get into Babymetal, but the more you'll hear and watch them perform, the more you will start to love them (hopefully 😅).
Looking forward to seeing you explore my favourite band, Gimme Chocolate is just a glimpse into the foxhole 🤘🦊🤘

Nice reaction. Babymetal is the happiest place in metal. So happy they dance about it. lol. Give Me Chocolate is the best song about chocolate ever. The number of views on RUclips alone speak to that. A bit about the song. It starts off with Yui and Moa making what is the sounds kids in Japan make for guns. They're not asking for chocolate they are demanding it. In a kid friendly kawaii sort of way. When they get the chocolate, they hesitate to eat it. Worried about gaining wait. But when you get to see more of them in concert, you'll know gaining weight was never going to be a problem for them. They burn through more calories than most can count during a show. Next, like all kids they eat it. And then become so happy they trumpet about it. You can hear it in the music and see it in the choreography. Babymetal is everything you want in music and somethings you didn't know you needed.

Welcome to the Foxhole and BabyMetal journey 🦊🤘🔥
Now they got a metalverse but that's a more recent era so is a good idea to just wait to get there but in case you wanna know, they already released 5 singles from recently released album "The Other One", this month they started the Sabaton's Europe Tour, a lot of countries already enjoyed this song and many more but they will come back to Europe in November, they also announced a World Tour including US Festival like Blue Ridge, Louder Than Life, Aftershock and Babyklok Tour along with Dethklok this year, so get ready for a year full of fun because you don't wanna miss the opportunity to see them live.
Dance choreography and metal had never been seen before and they somehow managed to make it works creating their unique own genre called kawaii-metal, mixing Jpop and heavy metal along with many more sub genres and rhythms, you'll have so much fun going through this journey and the energy won't stop.
However this isn't actually live version, is studio album version over a live performance which was partially live only on the vocals and choreography with backing track sound. They have their own band called Kami Band introduced later on that same show and after that Kami Band become regular at live performance. The band you saw here are called "baby-bones" and they're wearing skeleton costumes while air playing so this isn't a real band but they were helpful during early era to bring some show.
BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal (kawaii means cute), mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms. The name is pun intended play of words with heavy-metal which pretty much sounds similar to BabyMetal, is also to represent the birth of a new genre. They are:
    *SuMetal* (lead vocals), now 25.
*MoaMetal* (scream and dance), now 23.
*YuiMetal* (scream and dance, former member since 2018)
*MomoMetal* (scream and dance), she is 20 and is officially the new member since last weekend.
    None of them are related.
This was in December 2013 at SuMetal 16th Birthday, the other girls had 14 yo and there was a big party you have seen nothing yet, wait for "Babymetal Death".
Some other recommendations for next songs like:
    - _Catch Me If You Can_ live at Budokan 2014 (you got a safe to react version with subtitles at GuilhermeCait channel) or...
    - _Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!_ live at this same live performance Legend 1997 in Makuhari Messe Japan when SuMetal is celebrating her birthday becoming a metal goddess queen and leaving her idol jpop form (you can find one at Gans Tomas channel under "Head Bangya" title).
They just want some chocolate and they're worried about weight like any other normal girl, simple like that and just to have fun, but you're gonna find more meaningful lyrics in others songs, trust me. Either way, the fun is always there and your body can't help it, the happiness and the best live show experience in your life is all what they're looking for.
    See you next time! 🦊🤘🍫

Good first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole.🦊Don't believe everything you read on the internet (I think it was Abraham Lincoln who said that) so when someone says "they are just clickbait and not real metal" ... the only song they have heard (and probably not all of it) was 'Gimme Chocolate'.
'Gimme Chocolate' is not typical of their work - and yet in many ways it is. It is the song that went viral and got them noticed, but that is mainly for the shock value and that it makes peoples' brains melt. It can go either way and is not the song I would recommend to anybody as the first thing they hear from them. I am glad that you are open to exploring more - you will struggle to find another song quite like it.
Also this is the official video, so the audio is from the studio ... BABYMETAL are so much better live (as I hope you will discover for yourself).
They have about 60 songs now, each one different to the last, they have songs in virtually every metal genre but will also mix and blend so many other styles and genres with the metal. Some songs are good hard metal, some lean towards their pop roots and they do everything in between.
BABYMETAL are pretty much unique in that they invented their own genre and their own way of doing things. Do not try to categorise them as just one thing or to put them in any one box. You will not be able to predict them, just expect the unexpected. They don't copy anybody or follow the same format as nearly every other band (as you saw for a start they have brought choreographed dance to metal). No they don't play the instruments, just like most vocalists in other bands - they don't need to. They do what they do best and have the best musicians to be found in Japan backing them up (more on them later). Nobody has been able to do what BABYMETAL do (some have tried, none came close).
They are Su-metal (lead vocalist), Moametal and, since the start of this month, Momometal (backing vocals, harmonies but mainly in charge of dance, leading the audience, getting everybody involved and joining in).
The third original member, Yuimetal, sadly left the band in October 2018 having been absent from the stage for the previous 12 months. She had ongoing (and undisclosed) health issues.
After Yui left Su and Moa continued as a duo through to their 10th anniversary and a bit beyond, supported by 3 dancers (the Avengers Riho, Kano and Momoko) taking turns dancing in the third spot. Momoko was the only remaining Avenger from about March 2020 and was finally revealed as the official new third member on 1st April this year.
They started in 2010 as a sub-unit of a school themed J-Pop Idol group called Sakura Gakuin which was set up by the Amuse talent agency as a way to coach and train about a dozen of the most talented girls on their books in all aspects of entertainment (singing, dancing, acting, modelling, writing, stage management, TV presenting etc) with a view to their choosing how they would like to continue their career when they were at school leaving age (15 in Japan).
BABYMETAL was the pet project of one metalhead producer who was inspired to experiment with this fusion of Metal with JPop aesthetics after seeing Su-metal singing with her previous JPop trio and being very impressed with her no holds barred singing style and stage presence - she was only 10 or 11 at that time. He pictured her fronting a metal band and got his chance to work with her when her previous group ended and she joined Sakura Gakuin.
In 2013 Su would be 15 and would graduate from Sakura Gakuin (having the school theme it was for girls aged 10 to 15), but it was decided that BABYMETAL should be her vehicle as she furthered her career as a vocalist and should separate from the Idol group to go with her as an independent band in their own right.
BABYMETAL have gone on to become one of the very best live bands on the planet (and have won international awards to prove that is not just my opinion). Their big arena shows are spectacular, but they put on great shows every time, even in smaller venues and festivals as they tour the world where they can't always have all the special effects and flames etc too.
Early on they did not have enough budget for a live band and the guys in skeleton suits (called Babybones) who you saw in this video would go on stage just for show, miming the instruments to pre-recorded backing tracks (Su-metal's singing is always live). They were phased out bit by bit after it had been decided BABYMETAL would split from Sakura Gakuin, so a live band (I will tell you about them in a moment) played at a couple of festivals and the encores in some shows from October 2012. This video was filmed at the last big concert (Legend 1997 in December 2013 - the day after Su-metal's 16th birthday ... she was born in 1997, this was her birthday party) where the Babybones appeared - the live band (the Kami Band) came on for the last 5 songs.
They are supported in live shows by the Kami Band - some of Japan's very best session musicians, each one of them a world class instrumentalist. There are many people who have played in the Kami band as they all have their own bands or other commitments and they swap in and out depending on their availability, but the same hard core of about 6 musicians have played the vast majority of concerts and they are the ones you will see in most live performance videos.
The Kami Band became the full time support for all live shows at the start of 2014 and have been with BABYMETAL ever since - but only for live shows, they do not record the studio versions.
The Kami Band of the West - American musicians - have supported BABYMETAL in the more extended foreign tours since 2019.
BABYMETAL are best experienced live. Even they say so themselves. For another reaction I would suggest their first major event outside of Japan, one of the biggest metal festivals in the UK - and they were placed on the main stage in front of 50-60,000 UK metalheads who didn't have a clue who or what they were (and a few that did had only seen the 'Gimme Chocolate' video and thought it was a joke or gimmick and should not be there so had threatened on social media to throw bottles and boo them off stage).
They were aged 16 and just turned 15, in a foreign country where they didn't speak the language and had about 25 minutes, just 5 songs, to win this crowd over.
The last song of the set is 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' (call it IDZ it means Bullying, No More, For Ever) live at Sonisphere UK 2014. You will hear what the crowd thought of them at the end.

And yeah, I don't really get the whole clickbait band kind of comment. Even if a band isn't what people expect or a typical "genre", who really cares? While Babymetal has a sound, it isn't something you catch onto until you've listened to a lot of them. Babymetal is a fusion of Japanese pop, metal, and anything else they want mix into it. The three girls here are Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto), Moametal (Moa Kikuchi), and then the third one in this video is Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) left the group due to health reasons. Su-metal is 16 here, and the other two are 14. Suzuka is now 25, and Moa is 23. A new member has taken Yui's spot very recently, Momometal, (Momoko Okazaki), and she is 20. Su-. Moa, and Yui started at 12 and 10 years old, this live footage (with studio audio) is from Legend 1997, which was to celebrate Su-'s 16th birthday.
People are going to give a long list of suggestions. My suggestion for the next song is Karate, the single off their second album which was released in 2016, and the video I recommend is a performance from 2021: BABYMETAL - KARATE Live at Budokan 2021 [SUBTITLED] [HQ]

The tree girls are Babymetal, and they are a pop idol product, where they originally experimented with them doing metal. And it worked. It worked very well.
The original girls are Su, Moa and Yui, where Su is the main singer.
Who the backing band is has varied. Later than this video it was mostly the Kami band, and they did not wear the skeleton outfit, but were disguised as some kind of monk.
Babymetal is known for having extreme audience control. And the shows are happenings, and very good.
Su is born 1997 and the other two girls 1999.
Babymetal was founded 2010, so the girls were 13 and 11 then. And if you look at Doki Doki Mornin official, then you will see them that young. That was their first song. It is good!
In 2018 Yui left Babymetal, which was a shock to the fans. Yui was very much loved, maybe the most loved of the girls.
This event was (and still is) mysterious as Yui disappeared. I have seen nowhere where Yui is and what she does.
First Babymetal tried with two girls, but it did not work well. So they engaged three girls that switched, instead of Yui.
Those girls did not have any microphone, they only danced.
Then, this year, one of the girls (Momoko) was decided to replace Yui. So now they are three girls again. And all have microphones.
They are now in something called Metalverse, And first I thought that should not tour again. Only making music and videos.
But actually they do tour, and I saw them in Stockholm a week ago.

In general, I agree with the advice to wait to experience their lastest stuff and start at the begining, or even before as there are lots of vids of Su and the girls pre-BabyMetal (Sakura Gakuin, ie: Cherry Blossum Academy). Along the way, you wouldn't know whether to laugh or cry or, like most of us, do both at the same time. At some point, most folks enjoy one of the "Unhelpful" guide videos and these are great, at least til the movie, History of BabyMetal, is made, to fill in some of the gaps.
But back to recent times, there is one vid that you might squeeze-in that I don't think would ruin anything and that is Su's amazing vocal performance of Monochrome (The Piano Ver.) from the You Tube channel, The First Take. It just blew-up the Internet w/ over a million views in the first 24 hr.s.

Nice reaction, thanks and welcome to BABYMETAL.
Yep, you are right about they are a combination between metal and J-pop. And yes this song is not their most representative work and It was originally intended to produce the maximum WTF reaction due to the extreme juxtaposition between the metal instrumentals and their vocals and overall performance. The fact that this music video went viral in 2014 proves it. And we can't deny it helped them a lot back then. Now it's kinda polarizing and throws off some people after watching it.
But the reality is that they are very diverse musically, going from fun songs (like this) to more serious stuff (both lyrically and musically). And most important: they don't hesitate to mix any music genre with any metal sub-genre. And they do it masterfully.
No they don't play instruments, well, Yui and Moa can play the guitar (more or less) and Su plays the most wonderful instrument ever: her precious singing voice (you said you liked it and believe me, this is nothing!). Instead, they are backed by the Kami Band, a group of session musicians, the best you can find. And they are really amazing (regarding musicians, I'm a very picky old-school metalhead... you know...). But unfortunately they are not in this video. Actually they came out a little later for the encore in that concert since they were being introduced gradually at the time (December 2013). They became permanent since March 2014. The guys in skeleton costumes are there miming to play the instruments as the music was on a backing track because they couldn't afford a real band while Suzuka always sang live.
Unfortunately this music video has the studio recording over the visuals of the concert Legend 1997 held in December 2013 to celebrate Su-metal's (Suzuka Nakamoto, the lead singer) 16th birthday.
BABYMETAL fans are called collectively The ONE and individually "kitsune" or "megitsune" (male or female fox).
So, this is my suggestion, from the same concert just from the five-songs encore, with the band playing live: "Headbanger" (Live at Legend 1997): ruclips.net/video/QEsOaMbNFww/видео.html
    Until next time!

" Road of Resistance " - simply an EPIC performance and a lesson in crowd control from a 17 year old
" Rondo of Nightmare " - which showcases the Kami Band and Su-Metal's vocals
" Monochrome " - both the original video version and their recent appearance on THE FIRST TAKE

Babymetal is a mash up of Japanese J-pop vocals, dance, and aesthetics with heavy metal music. They call this style of music that they pioneered "kawaii metal" (cute metal). There is really nothing else in music quite like them.
Babymetal is the three girls up front. At the time this was filmed, the members of the group were Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) on lead vocals and dance, Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) scream and dance, and Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) scream and dance. At the time this was filmed at the "Legend 1997 Apocalypse" concert in 2013, Su-metal was 15 and Yuimetal and Moametal were 13. Yuimetal retired from Babymetal in 2018, and Momometal (Momoko Okazaki) became the official third member a few weeks ago on April 1st at the "Babymetal Begins Black Night" concert.
Gimme Choco is their most famous song because it is one of the most extreme examples of the juxtaposition between the poppy cuteness of the vocals and the girls' performance, and the heaviness of the music. It went viral in 2014 and led to them blowing up internationally, but the song isn't by any means a good representation of their capabilities and does lead people to write them off as just a gimmick. But as Babymetal has now existed for 13 years and released four studio albums and numerous live albums, they have long since proven they are more than just the gimmick.
Some of their other songs that are popular with reactors are: Headbangerrrrr!!!!!!!, Karate @ Download 2016, Road of Resistance Live in Japan, Ijime Dame Zettai @ Sonisphere 2014. You could also check out some of their newest songs: Monochrome, Mirror Mirror, or Metalizm. We always recommend that whenever possible you should watch their live performances, because the visual element of their live shows is such a huge part of their performance and live is where they shine brightest.

This is an official music video in which the studio audio is dubbed over video footage from their concerts. Babymetal usually reserve the live audio for Blu-rays and live albums, of which they have many. One exception is "Road of Resistance - Live in Japan" on Babymetal's YT channel; it has the live audio from the concert. Alternatively, you can check out fancams from their concerts or various fan-uploaded videos from concert Blu-rays that haven't been struck down for copyright infringement.

(3)Distortion is the only official video featuring no members of Babymetal.

official video Starlight, at the end of the video where The chosen seven is gathered, she stands in the middle at the bottom of the screen.
    (5) From Dusk To Dawn is the only Babymetal song for which there is no official lyrics.
    (6) First lyric by Suzuka Nakamoto (Su-Metal).

Bwahahahaha!! What they "typically" sound like? There is no "typical" song for them because every single song is unique and different from each other. They do everything from thrash (like this song) to power metal to Pirate shanties. You name it, they do it. Latin, Indian, progressive, EDM, trap rap, and anything else you can think of.
They started as a subunit of a Japanese idol group called Sakura Gakuin. Their first single releases were included in the Sakura Gakuin full albums. But those single releases also had b sided and as the years went by, they had enough to release an album of their own. Their first album BABYMETAL is very tongue in cheek and silly, with subjects aimed at young girls and school life, and kids games and subjects . Their second album, Metal Resistance, started getting more serious and mature in the metal and the lyrical content. BABYMETAL songs are always either fun and uplifting or serious but with positive subject matter.
Their third album delved more into collaborations and international sounds, with collaborations with Sabaton, Polyphia, Arch Enemy, and Thai rapper F. Hero. With Latin, Indian, Celtic, and other influences.
Their fourth most recent album release is a concept album (oh yeah, there's a whole convoluted lore to them with a Fox God, metal spirits, multiverses, etc)
This album has a more progressive metal sound, with a mix of EDM, Persian, Club, sound that's too complicated to explain in words. Gone are the cutesy voices from the beginning of their career. With some very powerful vocals from the lead singer Su-Metal.
So yeah... There is no typical genre to them. But you will always recognize a BABYMETAL song by Su's vocals. Keep checking then out. I suggest you check out one of their latest. Monochrome is a good choice. So you can see the HUGE difference in their sound today compared to 10 years ago.

Hi Nikki, my first time in your channel. Nice reaction. Yes you are correct, Babymetal does indeed have a huge following, probably rivaling that of TOOL and Metallica and other large bands. Speaking of Metallica, for the people that say Babymetal is just clickbait, I think they may want to give the band more of a chance than just the one song as Babymetal is heavily endorsed by bigname bands such as Metallica, KoRn, Slipknot, Rob Zombie Judas Priest even, and many, many more. They've performed with many of these bands, and have met many of them in person. So these young ladies are the real deal. They are just a very polarizing band. People either come to absolutely love them, or hate them, but even the haters are slowly disappearing it seems, which is nice. We need less hate in this world.
The girls are very young in this video, the main singer (Su-Metal) had just turned 16, and the 2 dancers with the high-pitched voices that you're not too keen on were 14 or 15, I can't remember which as they are about a year and a half younger than Su is. The 2 backup vocalists names are Moametal and Yuimetal. They don't do too much singing most of the time and it is normally Su that does the brunt of the singing.
Anyhow, if you want to just hear more of Su's vocals, then I'd recommend Rondo of Nightmare with Mischief of gods intro. If you wanna see more of the entire group together, then I'd probably recommend either Megitsune, or Headbanger. Also, I'd highly recommend always doing live show reactions as Babymetal shines brightest live.
Lastly, technically, yes the girls CAN play instruments. They can play a few different instruments. Both Moa and Yui can play guitar, but both are still learning. Su can play Piano. They don't really play instruments during performances however, as they are busy running around and dancing. That's kind of their thing lol

You could check out more songs from this era, 'Headbanger' the legend 1997 version would be a good choice or for a very recent song try 'Monochrome' the official lyric video. Enjoy !

Actually, I think "Gimme Chocolate" is typical of their early days. It isn't typical of what they're doing now.
It's like if somebody knew nothing of the Beatles, and they listened to "Love Me Do." Then the next song they heard was "I Am the Walrus" or "Helter Skelter." Yikes!

BabyMetal began in 2010 there were Suzuka Nakamoto age 12 Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno (Yui left in 2018 due to health reasons). Both Moa and Yui were only 11 when the group began.
All three were friends and classmates who attended an idol school (Sakura Gakuin) founded in 2010 by Amuse Talent Agency for girls 10 to 15. Themed around school life the girls would learn and train to be idols and graduate at age 15 to move onto whatever entertainment path they chose.
Key Kobayashi was a music producer for Amuse and heard Suzuka sing at age 9 and was impressed with her strong vocals and stage presence. Kobayashi was a fan of heavy metal but believed that the genre had become stale and tired (especially in Japan) with metal bands getting old Kobayashi believed the genre needed to be reborn (BabyMetal means the birth of a new metal genre). Kobayashi felt that Suzuka had the ability to front a metal band and that her vocals and presence could withstand the metal guitars and drums. The fusion of Jpop and Metal began. He placed Moa and Yui as backup singers/dancers and a phenomenon was about to result.
At first Amuse showed no interest and the girls had only financing from Kobayashi. They performed at strip malls and small venues using clothes borrowed from friends and family. No money for a real band they had friends dressed in homemade skeleton costumes pretending to play instruments to a backtrack. They became a sensation (these young ladies paid their dues) and Amuse saw the potential and in 2012 hired the best session musicians Japan had to offer (The Kami Band) who tours with them today (now includes world class musicians from the USA for tours outside of Asia).
If you choose to explore more of BabyMetal I suggest reacting to LIVE performance videos as this is where they shine.
They have over 50 LIVE songs/performances and each one is different. They are fearless exploring many genres and have the respect of the legends of Metal such as Metallica, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Judas Priest and more.
Avoid Glastonbury LIVE performances as the sound production by the BBC (who was in charge of that festival did a terrible job - mics not turned on, incorrect volume levels, etc.)
Suggest reacting to these for a start.
Karate LIVE at 2016 Download Festival in the UK where 60,000+ British metal heads sing along with the girls.
    Megitsune LIVE at Budokan 2021
Road of Resistance LIVE in Japan
    Headbanger LIVE
    Tales of the Destinies LIVE
Catch Me If You Can LIVE with Kami Band intro
At their concert in Yokohama on April 1 it was announced that a permanent third member Momoko Okazaki (who is also a graduate of Sakura Gakuin and has been appearing with them LIVE since 2019) has officially become the third member.
Their new album in my opinion that released March 24 is amazing with so many different styles.
Good luck and hope to see you again.

Sugoi! Interesting that you're wearing a METTALICA tee, as the girls were getting to learn about metal, METALLICA became their favorite band. In turn, METALLICA, ROB ZOMBIE, COREY TAYLOR/SLIPKNOT, BRING ME THE HORIZON, THE RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, LADY GAGA, and many other industry stars are all fans of BABYMETAL.
BABYMETAL formed in 2010 when the girls were only 11 & 12 years old. There is too much interesting backstory & lore concerning BABYMETAL to be listed here. It's best to take it all in over several months. They are possibly the best LIVE band over the past decade. This is due to their stage designs, their choreo, Su-metal's vocals, their performance artistry, and the East and West KAMI Bands and their multiple members.
BABYMETAL is best viewed via their LIVE performances; however, the "KARATE" and "MEGITSUNE" Official MV's give better clarification to the song's meaning, while highlighting Japanese culture.
For the best experience while viewing, follow one of BABYMETAL'S philosophies: "Don't think. FEEL."

If you want to see them playing instruments check out "BABYMETAL & Rob Halford - Painkiller, Breaking The Law". Virtually every song is unique, the only thing that I would say is almost universally constant is Su-Metal's vocals. Some love them, some hate them, but anyone who calls Babymetal clickbait is uninformed; they are a presence in metal and it is better for having them.
