The V4 is beyond impressive, but a tuned motor with perfect primary balance and only the basics is always the kind of ride I can never ever criticize. I think the heavier front end feeling comes from you balancing your weight a lot on your wrist. The front becomes very light and easily flickable if you use your leg muscles to hold up your weight.
    This was a big riding style change for me when I had this bike. It helped my riding technique a lot actually because of how aggressive it is and how much more you need your lower body to support your weight when in such a committed riding position.

    OC: I'm looking at getting this as my next bike coming next year. Tax returns end on my current ninja, so there's "gotta" come a new one (:wink:). I have absolutely no real life use for this. I'd be far better off getting a multistrada or bmw or 1000sx or some other sensible, comfortable commuter thing. But my heart desires this. And life is too short not to have experienced owning and riding something as beautiful as this. There, I just made up my mind. I'm getting a V2. Thanks Chase!

      I got a V2 !! Since january haha. It does have a 'low power' mode for rain riding as you said you would want, but you gotta go into the settings and play around a little. For traction control it has 2 wet settings (one for track rain tyres and one for actual safe rain street riding) and in the engine setting it has a 'reduced power' setting next to the 'full power' and the option to set the throttle to 'smooth' or 'dynamic'. I'm setting my V2 up to be street=rain mode and sport=street. Maybe one day I'll get myself to go to a track hehe.

It’s the whole package of it that makes it so special from the looks to the sound and not over kill with the horsepower that 99% of riders have 0 idea what to do with. It is more expensive then the Competitors but it cost to be on something so beautiful looking! Plus that single arm swing arm.... damnnn that is sexy 🔥

      Depends on where one is, bike not suitable for tropical regions. V4 is better becuz of cylinder deactivation.

    • @Treizez34
      @Treizez34 2 года назад

      @@pravesh736 I've ridden both and this is a lie; they are both hot no matter what you do.
      The V2 is the perfect balance. I LOVED the V4 but it's absolute overkill for the street. The V2 gets ignored because people think it's not fast...oh man yes it is! It's basically 750cc performance and can move well with many litre bikes out there. It's only the top end where you'll see the lack of power, yet even still, I was able to hit 175mph without much effort. That's more than ANYONE needs for the street but is more manageable than the V4.
      Still...both of them are amazing bikes. I think the V2 looks more classic ducati than the V4 (at least, as of the last couple Model Years).

    • @pravesh736
      @pravesh736 2 года назад

      @@Treizez34 bruh Ducati themselves claimed V4 to be cooler around the thighs than V2 cuz of their deactivation tech and it's obvious in slow traffic, The first V4 models didn't have that so I don't know what u rode. Offcourse all Ducatis are hot, first time?? 😂
      V2 maybe perfect for u and underpowered for some. 🤣

    • @Treizez34
      @Treizez34 2 года назад +2

      @@pravesh736 well all I can tell you is that I rode each one for an hour. They’re both hot as **** between the legs, but only when your sitting in traffic.
      Once you’re moving, you don’t notice either that much. The air flow takes care of it. In the end, it makes sense as they are both track/race bikes and that’s where they belong, not sitting in Miami traffic in 95 degrees Fahrenheit ambient temperature 😂

    I visited my local Ducati dealer and sat on a V2 as well as a Hypermotard 950SP. I'm actually agonizing over which one to get because they both have pluses based on their configuration. The reason that you felt the biased weight is because of the newly designed seat and the shock is raised by I believe 10mm. If there's one glaring thing to yank Ducati's shirt on is they allowed the bike to hit the streets without addressing the heat. All Ducati have run hot (I have a 25¢ size burn scar to prove it) but there's no excuse to pass the cost on to the buyer. That said; other reviews say that the heat isn't "so bad" when wearing leather pants. The style of the V2 hits it out of the park. Dunno what to do. I'm machinating about getting the 950SP now and the V2 when the coming rains end. I wish you had taken it out to some twisties.

    Fyi I've had four customers who've traded in their v2's for v4's & every one of them have regretted it. Just because it's more expensive & more power doesn't mean necessarily better to ride. Two are hard core track guys who are fast as well. So ride one before committing to the v4.

Miss my old sv 650's twin, fan of panigales, test rides pretty much all of it standard range, from the 1199,899,959 and v4. this one is like the best for me. Riding an R1200R is excellent but miss that excitment each time i go on a motorcycle.

As for the cops, I'm not convinced Mountain viewing some of your videos aren't like "We gotta make sure Chase doesn't do 160 on the highway all the time. Hello GSP we have a guy doing a test ride along this route, think you can up your patrols a little bit on this day..thanks.." In all reality love the videos keep up the awesome content.

    • @electric_boogaloo496
      @electric_boogaloo496 3 года назад +1

      As an 899 owner myself, the only thing the 899 is missing is the single sided swing-arm. Looks-wise, the middle and bottom fairings are the same, just the front fairing that's different on the V2. Aesthetically, I like the old front fairing better, it looks more timeless and less cyber-futuristic.

    • @Givelasagna
      @Givelasagna 3 года назад

      @@electric_boogaloo496 you can actually do the conversion to sssa on the 899 but it weighs a bit more than the factory one. But it's worth it for the looks.

    • @electric_boogaloo496
      @electric_boogaloo496 3 года назад +1

      @@Givelasagna AFAIK, the 1199 and the 899 had the same external engine dimensions and mounting points. 1199 -> 899 Swingarm swap was a bolt-on. Don't know if the dimensions/mounting points changed with the 1299 or the V2.
      1199 swingarm was lighter, but it would increase the wheelbase. V2 swingarm might be heavier because it is the "budget" Panigale.
      I do like that the V2 swingarm puts more weight forward. If there is anything that the 899 doesn't do as well on the track is the front end confidence when turning in compared to say an R6. The swap might be worth it, but no budget this year.

      It's gonna be a totally different experience. Depends on what you want from a bike. I ride both an R1 and an MV Agusta and the Italian bikes in general give it a totally totally different experience. However, some days you just want to have a bit of a less quirky ride or not stress too much about leaving your Italian baby out on the streets :D
