+OffTheRanch yup kinda scary. I really wanted to show up at the driving range in full work gear and video myself hitting golf balls next to all the real golfers!! Would have been a much better ending👍
matt i noticed your t shirt andy was wearing but before i knew u gave him axe's.. soo cool that both of u are good buddies. also love ur family and ur video's.. they give me a good inspiration and how to live a great life
He's good. Have you checked out Frank Howarth's channel? He's not only a really good woodworker but a fantastic filmmaker. He's actually an architect by trade(Harvard, I believe) but his films are amazing.
Love you supporting Demo Ranch, and to all you guys out there, smart to make your own golf clubs so your wife doesn't have to find out you bought some!
I recently made a slingshot from a natural bodark(bois d'arc, Osage orange) fork! It sinks in water and will probably outlast me, this wood is insanely tough, and beautiful to boot.
That's awesome. I found some old hickory clubs in my grandfather's attic that are now wall hangers. Get a good leatherworker to do a leather wrapped grip to set it off!
I've watched three of your videos so far and all of them were things that i've done before/in progress. This is the first video that i've found that matched the club I am making
This is great, I see quite a few woodworking channels out there that like to explain everything they do. As a woodworker myself it's quite enjoyable to just enjoy watching him without interrupting to explain what he's doing. ( I do understand the appeal of explanations in those videos explaining why or how for those who don't know or are just getting into woodworking.)
I love your videos! It's crazy, you're like a future version of me. I don't talk much. I have curly brown hair. I like basketball, golf, and woodworking. I live in the country on a ranch and like the peace and quiet. You inspire me as a beginner woodworker to keep at it and maybe even one day make some of my own RUclips content. I'm still getting my shop set up and have been accumulating tools for the last 6-9 months. I'm happy with the progress I've made on a budget while developing this new hobby. Keep up the good work!
Came to your channel per a recommendation from off the ranch. I really enjoy woodworking. Am excited to have found your channel and look forward to your videos. I do mostly wood turning and I am begging to pick up wood carving.
Very nice work especially hewing the taper into that shaft. Not a big fan of golf but there is something so satisfying about ripping one solid off the tee.
Nice club man. And wood chosen for this project is just fine. I would secure that handle glue up some more becose i got a filing that it will fail. When hiting the ball much force is applied. Glue joint would be much stronger if the " rod" would be square shaped. Nice video man. Good luck
Another great video Andy! I really enjoy watching you make unusual things like this. Not that a golf club, spoon, basketball goal, etc, are unusual. They aren't typical furniture pieces or bowls lol. Keep up the good work.
Currently binge watching all your vids and I love them, Demo Matt sent me your way. I'm a carpenter myself but I'm currently in the home remodeling field. Could you do a vid on the tools you use, brands you like, and whats needed to start getting into this type of furniture building?? Thanks!
that is some tough-ass wood. i've never seen something that takes so long for the bandsaw to cut through. i'm not anyone special and know very little about woodworking so
Osage is such a wonderful looking wood.....not so easy to work with.......but I still sneak pieces out of the firewood stack to let it dry in the basement for odd projects.
That is so cool. Are you going to put hand grips on it? I'm not a wood worker, but I admire those who can. My neighbor has a wood working shop as big as yours, but it's just a hobby for him. Looking forward to your next post.
This is exciting because I saved some of a red mulberry hybrid that is much like osage... I'd love to learn to make a fairway wood or even driver or design a wooden hybrid. Thanks!
hi mate, I'm loving the sport equipment that you have made recently like the basketball hoop and this golf club. it would be awesome if you could make a cricket bat out of the finest English willow
Did the golf ball ricochet, you looked back after you hit it and so I figured I ask but dude you got a skill that is hard to find nowadays so keep at it.
The ending was pretty good!
OffTheRanch tell Andy ricochet is deadly!
+OffTheRanch yup kinda scary. I really wanted to show up at the driving range in full work gear and video myself hitting golf balls next to all the real golfers!! Would have been a much better ending👍
OffTheRanch big fan man
matt i noticed your t shirt andy was wearing but before i knew u gave him axe's.. soo cool that both of u are good buddies. also love ur family and ur video's.. they give me a good inspiration and how to live a great life
I liked the blooper ending a lot.
This man is the primitive technology of woodworking...and I like it!
Bradley Zanteson He is really good but not "primitive" ,he is using power tools
WalKING tree i think he means the style of videos
Bradley Zanteson +chopwithchris is closer to that style
Lol what if he had a wooden basketball
Bradley Zanteson I
I see you like demolition ranch he has his t shirt
If you saw the axe target video you would see that Demolition Ranch came and helped. He is his friend.
Matt from Demo Ranch was the person who convinced Andy to start this channel and make videos.
In fact it looks like Matt's truck in the background as he's teeing up
Mooba2 Nah, Matt's got a Ford Raptor now.
Not Matt's truck, that's a Toyota and Matt drives a Ford, before that a Chevrolet.
I don't know how anyone can dislike any of Andy's videos. Probably the most enjoyable channel I've ever subscribed to.
He's good. Have you checked out Frank Howarth's channel? He's not only a really good woodworker but a fantastic filmmaker. He's actually an architect by trade(Harvard, I believe) but his films are amazing.
Invincible Osprey you have a little brown on your nose...
StoverRed same
Shout out from off the ranch with Matt sent me you're way!
matthew garland Same
yep same
matthew garland yup , I just arrived
i love when my fellow texans get creative....... you never know what were going to come up with ! great job man !!!!!!
Love you supporting Demo Ranch, and to all you guys out there, smart to make your own golf clubs so your wife doesn't have to find out you bought some!
I now know what to make for my step dad for his birthday. He loves golf ⛳🏌️
As a golf nut and a wood working fan this is excellent! Exceptional work bud!
I recently made a slingshot from a natural bodark(bois d'arc, Osage orange) fork! It sinks in water and will probably outlast me, this wood is insanely tough, and beautiful to boot.
Doubt you'll ever see this, but do you ever make wooden kid toys? Big fan of your stuff!
I like your demolition ranch t-shirt 😁😁😁😁
They live nest to or close to each other
don't care for golf, however a craftsman making his interpretation of a golf club, yeah, that's great.
I think my favorite part is how quiet your videos are. Just the sound of the work. Beautiful job. Subbed.
Love that you put the dowel through, exposed on the other side. That's a nice little detail
I find it cool when you see creators wearing each other's merch
as someone who is starting to get into wood working, ive been loving your videos. Its cool to see manual techniques work so well!

Watching this brings me at peace hearing the wood get shaved off is Relaxing really
👍🏻👏🏼
This might be the coolest thing ive ever watched on the internet
Came to your channel per a recommendation from off the ranch. I really enjoy woodworking. Am excited to have found your channel and look forward to your videos. I do mostly wood turning and I am begging to pick up wood carving.
One of my favorite RUclipsrs, and I'm a car guy!!
Really enjoyed this. It would have been great to see that club teed up at a golf range by a pro with the angle from behind! Thanks for the great work.
I love Osage. It's my favorite for a lot of the stuff I do with knives. Great work!
He’s got pretty good form on that jump shot!
Very nice work especially hewing the taper into that shaft. Not a big fan of golf but there is something so satisfying about ripping one solid off the tee.
Really beautiful work. I'd be proud to put it in my golf bag.
Dude great work. Wished I could find a guy like yourself to turn out hickory shafts for my
Old hickory clubs
You are such an amazingly talented artist I love watching your videos
That club is just gorgeous!
Your videos are incredibly calming. Keep em coming
Awesome, have been wanting to do this for ages. Even have a blank roughed out of pohutakawa.
There's just something about watching a master Craftsman at work...great work andy
Nice club man. And wood chosen for this project is just fine. I would secure that handle glue up some more becose i got a filing that it will fail. When hiting the ball much force is applied. Glue joint would be much stronger if the " rod" would be square shaped.
Nice video man. Good luck
Great job Andy! Definitely gonna try this for my grand father.
That last shot was a blast.
Osage orange or hedge Apple is so cool to work with n make fireworks when it burns. Sweet never seen anyone use it in a project. Cool man!
Awesome detailed woodwork! I've never played golf and I loved watching this.
haven't watched it yet but i know i will love it, keep up the great videos PS how's your hand?
The hand is much better...thanks for asking!!
This is just so relaxing... I honestly like your videos Andy.
That is a dream workshop!
Good stuff Andy. I've made a few bows out of Osage. Cool stuff for sure.
This is the best video I have seen on youtube loved it!
I was thinking about doing this the other night and came across
Your video. Awesome.
You’re talented man. No question about it!
Your angles are brilliant
Another great video Andy! I really enjoy watching you make unusual things like this. Not that a golf club, spoon, basketball goal, etc, are unusual. They aren't typical furniture pieces or bowls lol. Keep up the good work.
totally worth watching for the build up to the drive at the end lol
Would love to see this used on a driving range or golf club so we can see it's performance
Currently binge watching all your vids and I love them, Demo Matt sent me your way. I'm a carpenter myself but I'm currently in the home remodeling field. Could you do a vid on the tools you use, brands you like, and whats needed to start getting into this type of furniture building?? Thanks!
Finally! Someone that does it ring!
Awesome work Andy , and I enjoy the silent vids...
No way!!!! Hahaha that is one of the best woodworking videos I've seen yet!!! Fricken awesome!!!
Thanks!! Just subbed your channel...keep up the good work.
Third Coast Craftsman no
that is some tough-ass wood. i've never seen something that takes so long for the bandsaw to cut through.
i'm not anyone special and know very little about woodworking so
you copied that directly from primitive technology. i know. because i watched that on the actual channel.
Best video I've ever seen. Thanks for the content and inspiration.
Andy you've made some really cool things but this is by far the coolest. The craftsmanship is on point, seriously a work of art! Keep it up man
+Norm Murph thanks!
Pretty cool! A meter strip of leather would make a good grip and some scored lines on the face will give the ball some spin/stabalization.
Wow, woodworking ASMR for real.
Good job. It would be fun to play on a short course where distance is not a problem.
I recognized the splitting froe and mallet, my grandpa used to use those for splitting shakes for their house.😁
Incredible man this is so cool. I wish I had the patience to do this kind of work
I love the demolition ranch shirt.
Awesome demolition ranch shirt and keep up the amazing work
Osage is such a wonderful looking wood.....not so easy to work with.......but I still sneak pieces out of the firewood stack to let it dry in the basement for odd projects.
new favorite video on the internet! thanks Off the ranch!
I love watching your videos! They really help me relax, honestly. So thank you!
Great job Andy that turned out awesome.
Andy what a wonderful club and remember it is a Bois-D'arc tree.
You should make a guitar
I have about $4000. Can you make me a custom set?
That was really nice to watch Andy!
Great video. You really are a master of your craft
Andy! Where's the finish! I was waiting to see all that lovely wood colour pop!
Perfect Andy! Love the shot at the end and the tee was a great touch!
DEMO RANCH TSHIRT!! hell yeah
That is so cool. Are you going to put hand grips on it? I'm not a wood worker, but I admire those who can. My neighbor has a wood working shop as big as yours, but it's just a hobby for him. Looking forward to your next post.
While the building process was extremely interesting, the ending was GREAT! Been there, done that!
This is exciting because I saved some of a red mulberry hybrid that is much like osage... I'd love to learn to make a fairway wood or even driver or design a wooden hybrid. Thanks!
Osage is such beautiful wood, but it's color grays in time when exposed to light.
He needs to make a ping-pong table with the paddles
I love that your wearing a demolition ranch shirt, I love your channel in general❤️
Golf is life.
You can work on your back swing a little bit lol. Really enjoyed watching this project. thanks for sharing your channel
I love watching Andy Rawls!
hi mate, I'm loving the sport equipment that you have made recently like the basketball hoop and this golf club. it would be awesome if you could make a cricket bat out of the finest English willow
Hey Josh, I'll do it! I just don't know where I'm going to find would English willow.
I’m 12 and when I started watching his videos he inspired me to do it
I use to use all those tools in my freshman wooden engendering class
Me encanta el taller!!! Muy buen trabajo 😀😀 enhorabuena desde Alicante
Very beautiful
Your videos are so satisfying.
Very nice , thanks !
Loved this build!! I'm both a woodworker and a golfer......not too great at either.
The best stuff on RUclips. Love the videos
Every time I watch his videos I always tell myself that I should be better about my PPE.
Just one word: AMAZING
Great Andy
Did the golf ball ricochet, you looked back after you hit it and so I figured I ask but dude you got a skill that is hard to find nowadays so keep at it.
