- I forged my very own golf club and tested it out! Visiting Swifts Forge near Belfast, I tried my hand as a blacksmith and build my own golf club. This is a video I've been trying to do for YEARS, so thank you to Aaron for agreeing to let me loose in his workshop and being an amazing teacher. Make sure to show Swifts some love on Instagram (@swiftsforge) and check out their website: www.swiftsforge.com/

Should market these as "Mordor Putters"
... and in the darkness 3 putt.
The one swing to rule them all. 😂

Probably one of my favorite videos you've done. Really cool seeing that process and the story behind the forge.
I am a metal artist and use forge and anvil as part of my tooling. I’ve toyed with the idea of making a club but never made it a reality. Your putter is a gorgeous work of art.
Now I have no choice. Gotta do it.
Pete, I can't thank you enough for this video. My 8 yo son loves golf and swears up and down he wants to be a blacksmith when he grows up. It's pretty late here tonight, but I can't wait to show him this video tomorrow. Again, awesome video and thank you so much!
I'd watch more of these types of videos. Like, loads more. I'd love to see you get into factories, custom build workshops, artisan clubmakers, even hobby golfsmiths. Great video Pete. My favourite golf youtuber.
the fact that you have a putter hand made by you, with a tool used to build the titanic is so unbelievable cool. if the putter rolls the ball well it would never come out of the bag!
Mr.Finch, this was absolutely incredible to watch. History with a personal touch wrapped up in golf. That was fantastic to watch…. No judgment about the screw top wine either 😉👍🏼
This is by far one of the cooler videos you've made. Can't wait to see you use it out on the course!
That wonderful moment when your two favourite RUclips video themes (Blacksmithing and golf) combine into one video! 😁
Collabs like this are probably really difficult, but this was an amazing video!!
This was utterly fascinating! Bravo for doing something different (but don't stop doing what you usually do!)
Wow! Thank you Peter for this complete new concept. It makes you appreciate the work that goes into creating our material in the bag much more than before!
This video speaks to me on so many levels. I've been trying to pick up golf, but crafting is something I am deeply involved in.
Probably one of my favourite videos on this channel and I have seen nearly all of them. Great idea and great way to show off the more niche side of the game
Absolutely magic Peter. That was brilliant to watch and must feel awesome to have a club you made to play golf with !! Just watch these putts falling now !! Turn round to your playing partners n say , ' you know I actually made this putter...no really, I really did ' wink and walk off 🤪
Enjoyed it Sir Peter!! I love metal work and recently got reacquainted with the game!!! As far as equipment goes.... its a mater of getting a feel for what's in your hand and having a good understanding of clubs gave you advantage in making one.
I love it when I just know that I am the only one in the world doing something at a particular moment. Sometimes it’s knowing that no one else has or will ever do something that I am doing. You forging a putter by hand, from metal that comes from a cart made in the 1700s, is definitely a one of a kind activity. I love this, too!
Very cool! I designed and CNC milled some putters a few years ago. The process was a blast and I really dove into putter design and testing. Making stuff like that is really satisfying. Glad to see Pete do it!
Awesome video, Peter. Love how you branched out into something totally different, but in a way that spoke to your heart and your followers. Cheers!
That's awesome Pete. I watch a lot of golf on RUclips and I haven't seen anything like this yet! The satisfaction you get from making something like that with your own hands just takes it to another level. Really hope to see you this putter in your bag for a long time to come.
Amazing, amazing stuff. I got strangely emotional watching this video, like you were connecting to the game in a different way than I had ever thought about before.
Fascinating, great job Pete and your team! Looks like great fun, would love to have a go at that.
Fascinating! This probably my fav video so far, if not it surely up there. The vibes is surely different. Let’s goooo Pete!
That thumbnail is on point. About the same expression I have after slicing another into the trees or three putting after looking at birdie..
Amazing video to see the work that goes into something like this. I think we take a lot for granted with our mass produced clubs. Can't imagine making a set of clubs 100+ years ago..
Awesome content once again Pete. Cant wait to see the performance of the self-created work of art out on the course.
Brilliant video thanks Pete. Golf and making stuff. My favourite genres collide. Your channel just keeps upping it!
Super cool!! Thank you for sharing!
Love the video pete. So well presented. Your a natural in front of the camera and your passion for the game shines through. Would love to see more content like this. Maybe an iron next time! Awesome 👋👋
Awesome video. Completely different. It’s the best you’ve made. Maybe, you should do more of these. It’s interesting to see club making behind the scene, especially when it’s done by a real artisan / artist ! Incredible. Thank you so much and bravo to Aaron from Swifts Forge. It must be cool to have a club in the bag that you really made with your hands.
One of your best videos! Love how you’ve shown the process of making the putter and the review of it too
Love this! Really cool to see the old processes being used 👏
Awesome. Always had interest in this and love the history.
It was really cool to see you guys make that putter! I really hope you use it a lot and it serves you well! I can't wait to see that in action for the next several videos
One of my favourite vids you have made. Got all the way to the end !
What a very cool video! Steel from 600 years ago still being used is a credit to how they did it back in the day! This is a once in a lifetime putter and could be in a museum some day.
Wow Pete that was really worth watching great to see a real professional in action cheers
Excellent video, strangely one of my favourites that you’ve done considering there was only a few minutes of actual golf content! Would love to do this myself!
Love the thumbnail 😂, there’s always a great feeling when you use something you’ve made yourself, you both did an excellent job 👍.
It was great to see the forging process!
This is amazing Pete. I cannot wait to see you use this in future videos.
You and me both!
My absolute favourite video you have put out!!!
More of this kind of content Pete. Just awesome.
Seriously cool. Thanks for sharing.
What a great video! So cool to see how much work and craftsmanship goes into one putter.
By far the coolest golf video I've seen yet!!!
great video Peter, remember when I was at school and created my own putter in metal work.👍👍👏👏
I really enjoyed this video! I love working with my hands and have recently gotten in to golf. It sparks the imagination
Now that was cool! Every trip to Ireland should include 1) playing golf, and 2) making your own putter. Sign me up.
One of the coolest videos I've seen!! Would love to do something like this.
Best video yet. Loved it. Want one.
Really lovely vlog! Thank you!
Really enjoyed that Pete. It’s great that these skills are still in use.
Haven't even watched the video yet. I have to say, the thumbnail on this video is priceless! 😂
This is absolutely amazing, great video Pete!
What a great video. I can’t wait to see you using it on the course.
Pete this is one of the coolest videos out there. Thank you for sharing.
I love it. My son has a letter opener made from 1/2 an old horse shoe and a cutting knife from the other 1/2. Something he’ll always remember making
Players and spectators will nervously back away, as you slowly step onto the green, drawing your forged blade (putter) from the bag like Excalibur!
Good fun! Keep doing what you!
Excellent, great to see something really different. Well done!
Absolutely cool. Thanks
What a fantastic video, probably my favourite video out of all the content I watch
OUTSTANDING
ABSOLUTELY SUPERB VID!!! LOVED IT
The most unique golf content, really cool idea.
Of course ... with my musical preference ... and here some metal forging ... this was an awesome vid. Very cool. May the birds drop with this putter. 🤘😎🤘
Absolutely fantastic video Pete
That was ace!!!! Really interesting stuff. 👏🏻
This was really, really awesome!!!
Great video. What an awesome idea. What a great feeling to use something you helped create.
love this kind of video, unique and the blacksmith is a wonderful person.
thanks John
Smart video! Great stuff!
One of the coolest golf videos I've ever seen. Rare to get to see any clubs getting made never mind a hand forged putter!
Thats magical!!
Loved this Pete, really enjoyed it
Wow, so cool!
That was just freakin awesome Pete. What a process. What a lineage behind Aaron. A master craftsman was always said to make his own tools... Will we be seeing this putter in the bag for 2023?
thanks Jonathan. much appreciated!!
I love this video two things I love blacksmithing and golf
Wow what an incredible concept and video idea!!
Awesome. Enjoyed that.
Brilliant video Peter! Very different to many out there. Must give you immense satisfaction in creating your own playing club.
Wow ...just wow....😁👌
40 odd years ago I had a proper, crafted wooden putter - beautiful.
I used it for about a year then dumped it when I got my B60.
Which was a mistake.
Seeing you with this beautiful, unique piece of artwork brings back the pain of loss.
You keep it and use it - if it goes wrong it's you, not the club.
But if ever you get bored with it, I'll take it off your hands in an instant 😉
You lucky, lucky bugger....😁😳
Pete, that was a premium video. An interesting and awesome process for making the putter. Really enjoyed it, thanks.
Love love love this PF!!! More clubs like this please!!!
Thanks Robin
Man that we awesome Pete. Loved the process
Such an interesting video, really enjoyed watching that
Totally Awesome!
Probably the coolest golf video yet. Bucket list experience. I would never use anything else, handicap be damned. Too cool not to use.
Pete this is probably one of your best. Thanks for the experience and keep up the good work on RUclips. Thanks
Thanks 👍 appreciate it 😊
Love the craftsmanship. Love the raw metal look rather and the slight imperfections. What great content.
That's pretty awesome. Totally new kind of golf content we haven't seen on RUclips.
This is great!
Loved this. Hope it becomes your gamer for a long time to come
Absolutely Awesome
How the absolute hell has this not been done before?! I've been waiting for ANY golfer youtuber to team up with alec or any forging person to make a forged wedge. WE LOVE FORGING!
I do make wedges too! Bill Murray has one of my 70degree prototype wedges and he played it at the pebble beach proam this year
Brilliant! So jealous of people like Aaron👍🏻👍🏻
Love to see the pride seeping through in your expression. Great video!
The picture of you for this video is just the best!
Brilliant Pete 👏🏻
Great creative content. Nothing else like it on golf RUclips.
Love it! That’s an heirloom!
Abbbbbbsolutely beautiful. Thanks for this, wonderful vid.
Another awesome video Peter but this is my favorite RUclips video ever not just your channel but best ever on RUclips I absolutely love this video and want to see more like making your own irons or ball even keep up the great work 👍
