There were significant changes and improvements from the Oiler’s that helped them get to the post season. Really can’t say that their pre-season stats are up to par on what they are especially with Knobby as coach. Knobby has had 8 months to get to know this team and knows how to handle them better than he did when he was subbed in for woody.
As a die hard Detroit Red Wings fan, im rooting for Edmonton. I would like to see Ken Holland(even though he destroyed our farm system, traded away multiple 1st and 2nd rounders and destroyed our cap)win a cup with Edmonton. I've always respected them as a franchise.

Even though Ken Holland did not build the team, if the Oilers did not make it to the finals there would have been rumblings about new leadership taking over the helm. Now Edmonton is on the verge, yet Florida is playing very well.
The defence of Edmonton is done by committee. They been playing must win games since November. They have all bought in and are all in. Oilers in 5.

Florida in 6 . I hope lol , however Edmonton can win on any given day ! Key word GIVEN ! I always say the hungriest team wins , and I believe it’s held true , my kings got outworked , Canucks too ,not as much , Dallas for sure ! I would think the panthers getting back here will be just as hungry as Edmonton. So I believe intensity for the first time will be matched every game and we’ll actually see who is better ! Not just hungrier

Panthers have suffocated 3 great PP teams. Edmonton won’t be any different. Panthers will shut down the Oilers PP and grind them down in 5on5 play.

Florida has a great team, but i wouldn't sleep on Edmonton. I think they have a legit chance of winning the cup. I think it will come down to goaltenders and who has the best top 4 defensive pairing.
@@Detwhat I think what's happening now is....everyone's getting caught up in the Oilers being in the Final & literally forgetting about the Panthers despite what they have accomplished thus far, but maybe it's a good thing for the Panthers to just 'slink back' & let the Oilers have all the fame & 'bubbly' & all the focus on them right now, while the Panthers can just re-group & get ready for another Cup Final, knowing they might have a slight edge in the experience factor. The Oilers do have McDavid, Draisaitl, Hyman, Nugent-Hopkins, etc., so they're 'High End Talent' is going to take center stage now. The Panthers are probably just cool with that. Maybe when the Finals begin they can 're-introduce' themselves in a way that will finally get folks to remember that the Panthers are here to win as well.

Panthers are dump and chase, like to get in on forecheck. can overwhelm teams with their tenacious play. Hits everything that moves, and they will not shy away.. EDM hasn't gone up against a team that's as physically imposing as FLA.. but Panthers have yet to face a team Who can posess the puck, and has as much offensive star power this Oilers team has.
