Damn, blown 300 amp fuse? That's serious as hell!! I'm also shocked at how well that amp shined. I had heard they were good Amos but had no experience with them. Those test results far exceeded what most of us thought. Thanks for bringing us along for this test.
Quarter ohm daily on these amps no sweat. 18V really makes this amp shine
damore should make a amp dyno that connects to a pc or laptop with software for data loggin, and rca's that go directly to the amp from the dyno to eliminate head unit distortion and test tracks and tones built into the dyno and software
I had my clamp measuring current when I tested the Soundstream Class A 10.0 recently and it pulled over 250A before popping the internal 80A fuse. For short periods, the fuse can handle much more than rated. Would have been interesting to see how much this IA amp was pulling at 0.5, I'm betting over 600A :-O
400A. But it was on certified mode so it had long enough to take the fuse out.......:D
Yeah, that makes sense. I notice more current being pulled during the uncertified tests, but I let them run longer. I usually stop the certified tests shortly after the Dyno reaches it's max number. Strong amp yo!

Hi, i bought an MB Quart DA1-3000.1 amplifier a few months back i have it pushing my 4 12'' subs. and I have been checking on here for a while now to see if anyone has done a dyno test of the MB Quart DA1-3000.1. I have been really curious on what it would do on the dyno. Would it be possible for you to do this amp?

I wonder why you wouldn't drop a 400 wafer in and retest it at 0.5 OHM. I understand backing it off to 0.8 OHM to check the amp, but come on already.
Not trying to bust your balls, you're testing below specs and I admire that. Back in the old school days: Orion HCCA did quarter OHM stereo, then bridged it was half OHM. I'd like to see you smoke these amps as a real test of what they can really handle, in a certified mode. Keep up the good work. I enjoy watching your channel.

If the amp is rated to do 1/4 ohm then i will test it at that. I don't like smoking amps for no reason. If you like to see that then buy an Amp Dyno and smoke every amp you see. I won't mind. Also, what you just said doesn't make sense. 1/4 ohm stereo does not equal 1/2 ohm bridged. You are backwards. Not to mention no amp on the planet is rated 1/4 ohm stereo. Other than that thanks.
My bad, it was 1/2 ohm stereo and 1 ohm bridged mono.
4700 wrms / 15volts = 313 amps, there is a efficient ratio, maybe 90% of current is transformed in Sound... so.. 313 * 90% = 344 amps...
the 15v is only the initial charge on the battery bank. The number at the END of the test is the only number that matters.
I'd actually like to see this dynoed at 2 ohm.

when you drop the woofers in to a box you are close to .8ohm - 1ohm so a 1 ohm amp runs usually them just nicely

it debends but its always more than the out of the box impedance :) and usually 0,5 connection with box rise is enough for 1ohm amp....atleast thats the general consensus here and what i was trying to say.. also bigger the box the bigger the box rise is
